I buy mee sua from organic store at Kovan 3 wks ago, is brown rice organic mee sua, i cook n taste it before i give baby edric, it is not salty at all. edric love to eat mee sua as well.

Michelle, I agree with u on the birthday thing. No need those themes or kid party for my baby one yr old yet. It'll be just friends n relatives coming to my place for buffet n see my baby. My baby loves many ppl coming to the house. She loves to play with them. So guess she should be happy on her birthday. Maybe this time I'll add Choc n Spice muffins n a cute birthday cake for the party.

Oh ya, on weekdays, i ask my nanny to give apple purees. on weekends, i'll give bananas/pears. I also give Gerber biscuits, those star shaped ones. nevertheless, my gal is still underweight, falling into the 25th percentile category.

errrh.. i tink the last time i went to PD (excluding when they fall sick la) was like few mths back woh.. cos the next vacination is 12/15 mths... am i missing some checks in between? i hvnt been knowing if they r of right weight or watever else woh. oh no!!

so far i oni used it once la.. i find it not bad. n it's like those plastic (or watever u call it) material which i like.. as like.. i can nvr maintain a pair of scissors de lor..no matter hw expensive..stainless steel or watever.. still will get rusty de. so.. at least this wun rust? hehe. ....n with the box case to store it..i tink bringing it out oso convenient. so..juz buy for frens oso la. hehehe.

my fav part of the bao is the bao skin! dont worry, those are old wives tales. factory & singapore hawker sure got standard de. if cannot eat bao skin, meaning we also cannot eat noodles liao. cos noodles dont have a layer to peel off if factory & hawker handle them is unhygienic

1st birthday party
when I was small and saw my 1st birthday party photo. I was happy to see my close auntie, uncle and parents in the photo only and no strangers or singapore relatives (cos dont see them often). used to live in johor and all relatives from my mom's side. a bit sad grandparents not in it cos they live in ipoh that time.

my gal weighs 7.6 kg at 8+ months. when she falls sick, can easily lose 200g.

RE: Night Feeds

My gal is also taking night feeds - abt 12.30am I feed her. If she doesn't finish, I will leave it there, then my maid will feed her when she cries, abt 2.30am. Then 6am still another feed.
 
Baby 9th months check.
Just sent my girl to PD last Friday. Hmm... if u think ur baby is eating well, growing well, playing well, sleeping well, n want to save money then I dont think it's necessary to go for 9th month check. The PD only tick the booklet, a few ticks only n left the 10mth check not ticked. After the check, hb n I find that it's so unnecessary. Only that we r assured of her weight and height at 75 percentile and head in-between 50 and 75 percentile.

babys, yesterday i jz check a shop in j.point selling those party favour for inflatiing helium gas it's abt $2-$5 per baloon depends on the size. i think near my hs also got one but it's in bt batok.

yes, 9 mth check up is not necessary. can always do those at home. Dr Ong does not recommend. i brought my boy to clinic ytd for fever, they only checked his weight for med prescription. didnt check height. i measure at home.
 
i have a church friend who's daughter is already 14 months and has no teeth.. fully breastfed.

parents will give her rice with soup and she can eat, but meat will have to be finely mashed cos she cannot bite..

pd says her gums are strong enough to chew the food... but didnt find any reason why no teeth yey.
 
i'm a total idiot to preparin food for ethan.. may i know how to prepare the pasta for bb?? must cut the pasta or not?? how to prepare the sauce?
 
Janice, did you do the cheesecake for your hubby's birthday?

Haaahaaa, I did not gain weight ley but losing more haahaa. Think my family does lots of exercise, dh runs 4 times a week,, he has a race every month. Kai goes for running, swimming and scootering. And Ray is crawling all over and climbing stairs.

I just bake another swiss roll and later will do my fresh cream plus peach after picking up Kai from school and then bring him home to bake moist chocolate cake for his godmum's birthday tomorrow. We are planning to drop by her office for surprise visit haahaa.

Reira, I bake cos dh is very health conscious and we do not like cake outside too sweet.

You can try Aunty Yochana website for cake recipes coz mine are all agar agar type.

Mummies who give their bb pasta n bread. Is all ur bb got teeth already? Anyone who's bb no teeth also feed them pasta n bread?
Cos now zelia only having milk n porridge now.
 

Patricia, I have been feeding my baby pasta even without teeth, now only his 1st tooth is cutting through, not very visible to the eyes yet but can feel it.
