hey fatbobo / pegsfur / babyS - good news! my gynae said no reason why we cannot go for aqua fitness! of cos, pls double chk if your pregnancy has anything to pay special attn to.. yeah, here we come! btw, do we need to enrol early to avoid disappointment? later class full, how? kekeke.. I must first go buy swimming costume. hopefully not too ex. anywhere to buy that is good value for money?

btw, i saw some of you asking abt some reasonably cheap and good maternity wear. you may want to follow one of the topic threads on this. think someone provided three website links to buy online. mostly ard $30. q nice too. can see if suit your taste.

I can no longer fit into all my existing pants and skirts... I just vacuum packed them. It will be a good 12 mths before I need them again... that is if I ever get back my pre-pregnant size.

Now cupboard is very empty... hmmm, guess I have to go something soon!

btw, they have another branch at TPY Lor 8 but i personally feels that the standard there is not as gd as AMK.

medication: instructed to stop folic acid n start FCB

have been asked to go for oscar next wk but due to the pack schedule, the nurse cant confirm my schedule n i was asked to walk in to take a Q before 9am. is there anything i should watch out for when i go for the oscar test?

hi gals, hope all are well.... long time didn't log in already...

need help for some advice :
am in my 15 week, going 16.. but still having ms during morning and evening ... i keep having headaches very frequently and i can't sleep ... headaches normally develope during the nite and can wake me up.. seems like the whole head is so heavy. previously i do have frequent headaches and doc said might be due to hormones changes every mth... i keep taking painkillers like synflex and cataflam .. but now i cant take can only take panadol but it doesn't help ... any one got other remedies ?
 
Regg, i din ask the nurse, miss out that.. but i was kinda surprise when they cant fix a schedule for me and i have to go and join the Q at the clnic.. my hubby who was at work and cant go to the gynae with me this morning was kinda surprise why the test appointment was not make during my last visit resulting in this..

I went down to Bellysima at Jln Perminpin yday. And I bought a dress, a shorts, a skirt, a capri and 3 tops..Total bill came up to $170. Find it pretty reasonable. Good thing abt it is that u can check out their stock online to know wat they hv b4 popping down to try on and purchase.
They are open on 3 weekday and only 2 Sat in a month. So gotta check their schedule, otherwise can purchase online too.

Did any of you gals also drop by there yday ard 3+pm. Saw one lady there and thought she might be from her as some of u mention that you might be dropping by too

i wash my hair in the morning before i go work.. normally will blow until semi dry before i go out ... also not sure why .. have to wait until my next gynae appt to check wif her.

Have u monitored your drinking habits? Sometimes headaches are caused by something as simply as not drinking enough water. Once u drink enough, it'll get better.

Another thing is also coz it's due to preg hormones. It's normal to have headaches when you're preg.

But if you're not sure, after u deliver, u can always go for an MRI. This is esp so if you have vomitting or double vision. Not to scare u or what, but my SIL had very bad headaches, she only went to see the dr when she started vomitting as well. Found that she has a brain tumour and there's some liq accumulated in her brains. luckily she found it in time to drain the liquid. Altho her tumour is still there (coz it can't be operated on), it has since shrank with radiotherapy and she's now better.
 
Mich/Irene, i am just back from dinner at Mellben AMK. they have renovated the place and Mellben is taking the entire coffeeshop now... some price of crabs have increase slightly and the food is quite disappointing.. the standard and taste is no longer there.. frankli, i still wish for the dirty coffeeshop that sells yummy crab instead of the current nice nice enough with normal hawker food standard.. i am gg to try the Mellben at TPY the next time round and hope the flavour of the crab still remains..

Sigh.........
 
Hi Mummies, i am checking out the FBI on the web and wish to find out more, have anyone apply for it and have more info, please share..

i am quite confuse with the rebate for hospitalisation from the FBI card vs the saving i got from my gynae's package.. blur...... and i am seriously considering whether to sign up cos i am very keen on taking up the pre-natal class but given my hubby's shift schedule, i doubt he can attend the classes w me and i gotto be alone....

last but not least, what are your thoughts on 1 bedder and 2-bedder??? i preferred the 1-bedder so i can get more peace and gd rest but hubby think otherwise, talking abt fees and how i can do with jus a 2-bedder cos it is a short stay... i am kinda heart-broken with his comments as i was not the main focus in this entire subject..
 
LawShe, so far I have always been tabao-ing the Melben crab back from the TPY branch as I think its not as crowded as the AMK branch.

I think you can get discount for the pre-natal class, some gynae charges, at the pharmacy and the oscar and detailed scan for the FBI card.

I chose 4 bedder the 1st time and was upgraded to 2 bedder as there wasn't enough 4 bedder when I was admitted. I didn't pick 1 bedder as I didn't want to waste the money and I do not need my hb to be around to keep me company.
If you think you would like your hb to be around to keep you company then 1 bedder is good. Somemore your hb can help you to get off the bed should you need to go toilet at night.
You can definitely rest better in 1 bedder.Coz when I was in the 2 bedder, my bb will cry when the nurse push him into the room for breastfeeding so I guess that disturbed my neighbour.

But ofcoz, the nurse can help you if you are in the 2 or 4 bedder.

Baby is measuring 6.6cm at 12 wk and 6 d.

Thank God pregnancy has been well. No morning sickness that I was fearful about. Now that I'm in 3rd month, I'm beginning to feel like I'm really pregnant. With the obvious sign of a bulging tummy :p

My EDD is on 26 Aug. Anyone started looking for a confinement lady yet?

hi mashy, thanks for ur reply. I must admit i seldom drink water also. Before pregnancy, i asked the doc if i need to do an MRI scan, he said not neccessary. Unless suspect of tumour or wat. he just feel it's tension headache. how long ur SIL has got this headache ?

as for 2bedder, frankly, i dunno who will be my neighbour and i din want the distrubance to be either way.. i understand the fact that 2bedder is more cost effective as compared to a single bedder but with me footing my own bill and the importance of rest, i find it quite disappointing that i cant make the choice and have to give in.. (and i bet my MIL gonna have lots of her own comments if she knows abt the matter..)

furthermore, my thinking of 1 bedder is always on privacy, more time w visitors, hubby can stay over and help me around, plus the bb to be bring over and spend more time w me throughout the day.. hubby have been hearing lots of stories abt the no-gd of single bedder and this is really frustrating..
