TubbyM, a birthday bash for all 1 yr old babies will be fun...we can order a super duper big cake for all mummies and babies but we have to decide on a theme haha. and we need a large venue!Maybe we can book a function room and divide the cost.

Aug loves apples and bananas too! Actually he likes all the fruits cos they are sweet. He dislikes the veges, even carrots. But apple sauce and bananas cause constipation so be careful not to feed too much and better dont feed with rice cereal cos rice cereal also likely to cause constipation.

Vicky, im keen on swimming class for baby. PM me. Which swim school are u keen on? I was looking at Marsden or Aquaducks actually.

Hi Bluedream, I stay in River Valley. You can start your baby on swimming even before baby can stand. In face baby can start as young as 6 months. Better to start earlier to build water confidence

also like to ask mummies here,
(i) have you started teaching baby to hold their own bottle? I tried to hold her hands to the bottle, and I put mine over hers, but she will not want to hold the bottle.

(ii) have you taught them to drink from training mug?

annticipating- i didnt teach nesher to hold his own bottle but he is the curious type.. sometimes he will hold his milk bottle to drink sometimes he is lazy &amp; wont hold at all. But shower time he wil wan to hold his own toothbrush &amp; put inside his mouth.

i realise nesher will stop drinking his milk when it reaches 50ml. how i distract &amp; get him to finish up he simply refuse to drink... wonder any babies also push away their milk bottle??

Javen do EXACTLY the same at 50ml!!

we just put a rattle in his hand, he whack whack whack the milk bottle with the rattle and will continue to drink till finish.. unless he really really dun wan, he throw the rattle away and continue pushing then we dun force him liao

burp him and rest 15mins then we try again, usually he will finish it then..

11_beans- i tried tat give toys to distract him which normally work but now useless. he jus push away his bottle &amp; pat his tummy then go booo.. all the times ..he seem to enjoy himself seeing his saliva on us. i also try feeding him again after he burp but he simply don wan mean don wan

my boy does dat too!!!!!!!!!! at 50ml as well!!!!!!!!!! and same as 11_beans, instead of putting a rattle in his hand, we put the milk bottle cover in his hand, he bang bang on the bottle and den he will drink some more.

ahnetsan- the trouble is he refuse milk totally after 50ml now..must think of a way to make him very very hungry then he finish his milk
