Tubbym~, that probe thing isn't uncomfortable for me. Especially not in the first half of pregnancy. It's more like "the real thing" than the swab I kenah'ed - which is like a cotton bud the length of a satay stick. Can you imagine that being jabbed between dry & delicate
lips in search for the secret opening? That was what I got. I think the probe's quite nice and smooth.. Lubricated some more!! Heehee
Blurmom, I think visits to obgyn will begin to be fortnightly as you go into Week 30.
LFB, I emphathise with your friend. Yet sometimes I think we need to just be assertive and firm with others, instead of allowing them to get into our minds and mess it up. It's a 2-way thing. That's why we need each other's moral support here when ppl cause us to doubt our initial resolutions. Keep encouraging your friend. She can pump pump pump to get supply going again if it isn't too late, right?
Re: Bb Kick Counting
Books & articles I've read seem to concur there's no "correct" range of kicks to be getting a day.. just monitor that bb's movements don't differ significantly from his/her norm. Obgyn asks me if bb's been kicking regularly throughout the day, but hasn't asked me to do actual kick counting (yet?)...
>> I haven't been counting but just keep note that he thumps from time to time. It's so funny sometimes when he's nudging the very bottom of the tummy and I can't get to him cos I'm sitting down. I smile to myself like a maniac cos he seems to be "toe-ing the top of my low-riding knickers"
Although, if he's supposed to be head down, I really can't figure out why the movements are spread all over... so I'm guessing he's still squirming and flipping in all directions.</font>
