i dont know abt this saying for confinement.. anyway my confinement has been done at my in law place because i stayed with her before i moved to my own place.. and will be having CL again for my no 2.. so this is no issue to me..
maybe for those mummies who r pantang, got to take note.. sometimes rather believe than dont believe..
i'm thinking of getting a maid since my hb is working 6days.. then can help me with housework and cooking as well.. anybody can recommend a good maid agency?

915, my rashes so far so good lah..no itchy liao..but still red loh..will continue to apply the cream for another 1 week loh

grace, so qiao leh ! last nite i also give my bb boy listen to cd..haha. then can feel some movements. i replay the cd so many times..until i think my bb sleep liao..the cd got from NBL free one, not bad leh

My gynae wasn't in when I did the detailed scanning. The gynae covering her I went to see mentioned that baby is too small to estimate the weight. Anyway, I'm happy as long as the baby is heathy. Got the result of amnio test is ok on the same day so nothing is more important than this.

Will find out more when I see Dr Yeap on 22 Jan09. BTW, she informed me that she won't be in in Dec08 when I was going to have DS and arranged me to see another gynae. She has more patients than when I had my girl in 2006. If you need to speak to her, can call 63948502
 
Pearly, i also never heard abt that saying...but i guess i will not be pantang coz i dun have a choice...own house upgrading so cannot get CL...initially wanted to go mil's place but i really worried after that will spoil the good relationship we have now coz in future she will still be helping to take care of my 2 kids...and during confinement weather is hot so i worried might have conflicts. So in the end , i think go my mum's place best coz if it's my own mum so at least not too bad.

Shers, if u want to get a maid then u better start getting one at least 2mths before so that at least u can train her the house rules first coz even if they say can cook or clean also not up to standard one. my maid agency is ok lah but in AMK central, but one suggestion is to go to one near to ur place or convenient enuff else u will be travelling all over to go and pick the maid and do all the admin stuffs if there's any.

915, my neighbour asks whether i want her maid working for her for coming 2 yrs.. because all her kids r big enough.. so she doesnt need 1.. this maid i see her is ok la.. do and do.. and i 'interviewed' her once.. she said she wanted to stay here and work because need to support her 3 kids in philipines.. still considering this option..
wanted to have another choice of getting a new maid also..
my in law says if want, go to AMK central.. her maids are from there.. so basically from that agency quite ok.. yrs is at which blk??
i tot getting maid 1 month before..

porky, the leggings price is $16.. but i got member discount so $12.80.. i bought M size.. havent try the size yet.. if can wear, i will get more.. they have alot of colours.. whahaha..

915: i still go for brazilian now cuz im too used to it le. but have to admit. it's more painful now and u have to know that the therapist will "press" down on your abdomen in order to flatten and tighten out the skin to apply and then rip off the wax. i do it at strip cuz i find that they're more professional - they didn't wanna do me during first trimester at all, required doc's letter if i insisted.

porky, shers: i wanna get leggings too! wat time u guys meeting? and dun u guys find that your bras are so tight now? esp the ribcage area? i have 1 dat leaves red marks aft wearing. and it's my fave strapless bra. =(

xue, i signed up for wellness village massage, 10 sessions, 1 sess is 68 for 90mins. i think it's transferrable, so thinking if u want, i can sell u 1 session to try? cuz i actually dun nd so many but i think min is 10. but gd deal la, so i just sign le then decide later lo. haha!

tiny m: ya let's do gathering in feb ba.. maybe 2 wk of feb onwards when all the cny hype is over then everyone also more free.. =)

Shers, my agency is @ blk 7XX near the old AMK interchange(i cannot remember the block no but it's called Signature, same stretch as SBCC AMK)

If you are ok with ur neighbour's maid, then maybe can consider but still have to guide her thru ur house rules as it may be diff from ur neighbour's.One thing good will be that she is already familiar with the neighbourhood. i guess she shld be more expensive since she is experienced.

As with new maids,you also need to lay house rules and train them ur style of housework.
 
adrienne: cny clothes not neccesarily nd to buy from maternity stores.. u can look ard far east or bugis have those nice babydoll dresses or u knw rompers? not the baby rompers but the adult ones like a tube n shorts or 3/4 pants 1 piece. abit more leh chey when u nd to pee bt definitely more stylish lo.. i bought 2 shorts rompers for 18 a piece nia, and a butterfly sleeve top for 30 at far east.. the 3/4 romper u can get at m)phosis. but i dunno hw much they are selling at.. u can seek out cheap and stylish stuff at bugis, far east all dat, depending on your style.. unless u looking for denim stuff then abit more ma fun.. so if anyone knws whr to get cheap and nice maternity skinny jeans, let me know ah!! =)

ya.. the underwire is blocking my cage bone but not as bad.. but wear stripless bra needs wire to support le.. no choice.. at least after stop breastfeeding, still can wear lor.. where to get stripless bra and doesnt slip down??

her salary is quite cheap la.. $360 for philipines.. now the salary increases liao.. to $380 for non experience.. somemore she is considered experienced.. at least $400..

if u ladies can continue, even better.. coz before giving birth, nurse will shave for u and u know the effect of after shaving is damn itchy!

Flommy, ya they are quite fierce with their maids, but at least not unreasonable. I went to another in AMK juz to see see look look, the agent called one maid out and started scolding her in front of me, i got a shock man! Signature so far still ok lah, they talk properly to the maids but when my 1st maid stole from me, the agent really gave her a very big scolding!

Shers, if ur neighbour's maid suits u then will be best liao

Jamie &amp; Shers, agree that full is cleaner. During my #1 i din do coz i tot cannot, regret big time coz especially with lochia after birth, very smelly and hard to manage with those hairs..

jamie_nov, i just bgt those seamless bra (no underwire) to wear..very comfy leh. and no red lines after u remove it. i did not wear those maternity bras yet..find it a bit auntie..and big..

so u wanna join me &amp; shers this wed ?
 
porky, if u have seen a gynae then having a BW is nothing liao..coz it'd juz be another pair of eyes staring.heheh....actually for 1st timer can be quite painful, so it's more pain than paisay

jamie, no i din go to the convention but i saw my fren's pics, looks crowded and cool.Imagine pushing thru the crowd with our tummies... Anyway we can't do any of these stuffs at this stage too

porky: whr u get the seamless bras?? agree the maternity very big. my neh not big enuf. lol. abt the brazilian, actually aft ur first wax, u wont feel pai say anymore cuz u will think like "ur waxer also hv wat.. and seen soooo many already so no nd pai say.." anyway it feels damn gd. clean and neat. =) and the cleaniness is addictive, u'll nvr even go near a shaver to DIY also lor. shopping, must see wat time u guys meeting lei.. whr u meeting also?
 
wah..porky...u better not diy ah esp with ur tummy blocking the view...cut wrongly then jiak lat! maybe u think abt it , then 3 weeks before u pop, juz walk in and be professional abt it...anyway by then ur tum tum would be so big that u cannot even see the girl's face lo! hehehe

Anyway when u r in labour, the nurse in the labour ward will still trim ur hair and insert a pill into ur anus to make u poop. so u will still get another lady staring at ur bottom

porky: go to the bigger branch!! i think vivo or maybe suntec.. i not sure.. bt i knw bugis is small.. trim hair, ask ur hb help u, dat time during my first tri, i can't wax i gt so frustrated my hb offered to trim for me. he did it till 4th mth then i go wax. hb trim safer than use mirror cuz mirror sometimes hard to gauge u knw?

if u really want to do, u shld try out a small piece first and choose the body parts and the artist carefully. I got a fren who did a dolphin on her tummy around her naval. Can u imagine when she gets preg? the Dolphin will become a Whale, then after birth dunno how the dolphin will look like man...heheh..as for piercing, if ur skin is sensitive then dun think abt it else can think abt it after birth but then baby might pull it off accidentally wo...

Porky, juz walk in looking professional then ok liao..anyway we are the clients mah..heheh...or u can wear sunglasses to go there

915: actually i also hv a row of stars tattooed on my hip.. now my tummy grow, the top of the row also moved. lol!! i wanna see hw it looks as it grows lor. must be damn funny!! piercing.. my skin is ok i think.. a few piercings bt nothing happen.. it's jus hb think not gd idea to put holes into body now, u know? the pan tang thing..

porky: one day u very free or wat, i can go with u. will hold ur hand as we step in and sit ourside wait for u okie! =)
 
grace, i not experienced lah..juz one time experience from my #1 last time.. it was quite paisay lor coz when the nurse inserted that pill into the anus.i really feel like i cannot control my bowels man....then somemore has to stand up and go to the loo...like very bad diarrhea. unforgettable lor. Somemore the nurse said must clear bowel fully else when we pushed, the poop will come out too...ok lah. i think enuff said.. getting abit over-gross here

i done my amnio test 0n 10 dec 08,about 13 days i receive my results lo...and i was soooo happy of my results...

so pls relax urself don worried don stress ok.. very soon u will hear from ur gynae tellin you... congrat.. congrat the results of our analysis have revealed no apparent chromosomal abnormality..

my due date on 21 may 09..how about ur due date?
i goin for a c-section..how about u?
