Seem a lot of babies turn 4 mths already. Wah... and starting solid so fast? Even stand by brown rice liao... kekekeke...
I will only start at the mark of 5.5 mth to 6 mths onward. Think PD also recommend to start 6 mths onward...

am thinking of starting at 5mths or slightly later if bb is still ok w milk alone. partly because this mommy here spends all her time shopping online and didn't read up on semi solids etc. hehehe more importantly, gracie has a very sensitive stomach so we prefer to play safe.

thanks mommies for your compliments on gracie n her sophie. actually she wasn't smiling leh. it's her I'm-going-to-cry look. she got quite annoyed as she was unable to put sophie's head into her mouth properly. hehe

it's tricky actually. i agree that it's not good for husband n wife to be separated for so long, esp not in a place like china. btw which part of china? however, if you are the type who is v shy, and who generally find it hard to mk new friends then it is likely to be very very boring and challenging for you to follow him there.

brown rice is the 1st i think. cn buy otc frm ntuc or cold storage? buy brands like Healthy times or heinz or nestle. =) they have instructions. to mix with some milk and feed i think only 1 teaspoon? its up to u. becos PD recommends at least 6mths so that the gut is better for absorption n stuff. u will also need the little spoon to feed her. but is lil grace ready? there r signs to show readiness for solids. lemme search

Queenie, Alfafa, Haha. I am so glad to have a bb girl this time round. I actually have bought loads of accessories for her head, clips, headbands until hubby rant at me each time he sees the pile of clips. So I must hide it away but he will notice when I put it on Trishelle and its a different one from what he last saw. Haha so I thought since her head will grow bigger, why don't buy my own n diy Haha. Then can made to measure each time she grows. Hoho. N I only need to buy clippies to attach to the headbands Haha! But Alfafa is the one poisoning me gosh. I don't dare count how much I have spent.. hope they won't be wasted Haha! N I still have interest when they come!

ok. weaning, i would really suggest as late as possible since like u said gracie has a sensitive tummy. and when weaning, not all stuffs can be sterilised. cereals wise, actually u can buy this book - oh am i asking u to buy SOMETIHNG again.. wahaha! i love the book though. it's called feed your child right - the complete food guide for asian parents. I AM SO IN LOVE with this book lo. i used it for my #1, and will use for trishelle too. will follow the amts and timelines for feeding when weaning.

*sayang* where is your husband actually posted to? Dont mind my opinion, i think u should go with ur husband cos (1) keep a tab on him (2) u got no job to lose here (3) there's additional allowance when u join him (4) airticket is paid for (5) u have a bb and bb need to keep in touch with dad. If my hb's posting had started this Sep instead of last sep,i would not bother abt my job and would have quit/get no pay leave to join him. It is bad there looking after bb alone but u spend good quality time with bb. That's wht i feel while i am here in US. Though i am trapped, i spend a lot of time communicating with bb C. Think if i am in SG, i would have made sure i go out at least twice a week. Dont think bb C would be as happy as she is now.

Anyone has any idea whether there's a sequence for flip, crawl, sit, stand, walk? Cos my bb is attempting crawling now.. can see that she very upset that she is stuck.. arms and legs cant coordinate well yet plus i think not enough strength.. she just managed to flip from tummy to back today but she has been trying to crawl since yesterday. I thought is learn to flip before learning to crawl but seems like she is attempting to learn all at the same time.
 
oh yah... i forgot to add that she is unable to get up to sit on her own unassisted yet.. can see that she is also attempting to sit up now..

Sigh kana appendicitis so was hospitalize, then stay with my in laws with no internet!!!

Asura: my niece born on feb 28.. can crawl liao but very funny way.. she will kick and lift her butt then wiggle her head forward!!! But my boy still not so gd.. gives up easily and then cries for help!!! hehehee .. when will they start to talk?? hahaha i swear my boy 1st word is help!!

cos my mil always have to force him to drink from bottles and he refuses and always look for help!! hahaha

asura: did tot of gg but i hv too many constraints too...my thoughts are if i go n shld anything happen, i would be all alone there with no friends, at least here, i still have u guys n my family to turn to if i need to talk...plus this attachment, not advisable to tag along as most of the time he'll either be onboard e ship so also back to 0...one thing is i m very trusting towards anybody especially him so when it happens, the impact was great...hopefully nth goes wrong this time...

Queenie, monday was terrible, the 1st day of work. Then yday tuesday went to see him and i carried him as long as i can. Didn't let him sleep till 10pm keep playing w him. So today feeling very much better. I think if i can see him tues, thurs and bring him home on friday, i can do this full time working thing. Only question is whether i want to....maybe its the fear of not being able to get back to work later that's stopping me from tendering...

Shanghai is very dangerous place for a man to go without wife leh.. no other pple accompanied by wife who would be staying at the same place with u? Cos like here, i make friends with the wives so we kind of help each other. Anyway, u are in the best position to consider your options. Feel free to rant or maybe when i am back in SG, we can meet for meals..
