Queenie, she's the author of this well known series of books called The Contented Little Baby. She prescribes a very strict routine of expressing, latching on, sleeping, playtime, sleeping in darkness. The aim is to follow baby's natural sleep rhythmns to teach them how to soothe themselves to sleep at the appropriate times. Apparently minimises fussing and crying, seems to give parents some evening tim to themselves. By 9-12 months, they're supposed to sleep from 7pm to 7am.
My personal opinion after reading:
A bit too strict but the principles of her rules make sense. Letting baby play, eat and sleep at the right times and with the right amount of attention so they are happy and secure.
I'm not following everything, mainly the feeding and sleeping patterns. I think 7pm to 7am is too much, aiming more for 9pm-7am.
