for medela pump, u go read the manual that comes with the pump.. they did write about how we select the correct size of funnel to use..

Thanks about ur advice on the bb bjorn. hubby and i not really comfortable fror her to use it at such a young age so we decide to postpone using it.

ya agree with u... my shopping habits are too chronic to resist... hence being a SAHM got to be quite simple too... which is rather not suitable for me... if only our ML nv ends...ha...get to stay at home and gets paid monthly... :p

wat is the nursing tea that u mentioned?

My MS really drop alot and i tot of giving up the pumping. Now only pump twice a day and couldn't get much also. Does fenugreek help to increase MS? My breast is always soft like no MILK like tat.

about earning our own keep.. ts really good..
cos :

1. we are more independent, can buy what we want ..no need to ask money from hubby

2. touchwood.. if anything happen to hubby and hubby cannot work, we can still earn money to survive.

3. touchwood.. if hubby got affair and we have to divorce.. we will survive cos got own income

4. if all goes well, we will have better lifestyle and retire better.

5.. this is my own la.. its my pride to earn n spend my own keep.. haiz.. now got to put pride aside cos hubby travel so much and each trip is 1 mth in a stretch.. no one look after bb after my parents moved to east side end july.. so i got to give up work..

Caffeine & breastfeeding: I still drink bubble tea when breastfeeding, sometimes 2 cups in a day...

Anyway, read from http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/youafterthebirth/nutrition/caffeineandbreastfeeding/ that 2 cups a day is ok. Not to exceed 2 cups as it may make one or both of you irritable, jittery, agitated, and sleepless. If you want to have a cup or two of coffee or tea a day while breastfeeding, make a conscious effort to drink at least eight glasses of water every day as well (good advice whether or not you're taking in caffeine).

cheer up...its good to be a SAHM too cos u wun miss out ur BB's growing up... u would be the first one to witness all his first times... that's the main draw that makes me wanna be a SAHM... but anyway regardless whether we r SAHM or FTWM...we r all the greatest mummies !

i asked my friend who did both like us..and her bb last time also like that..fussy before feed and it lasted about 1 month..that is so long!!
when is ur bb start being fussy before feed? mine start on his 6th wk..wonder if it's the same phase for babies
 
lenny - yes thats the thing lor...we can rely on ourselves if we work...and we have more freedom to how we wanna spend $$$ too, so they won't nag so much...oops...ya men nag too!

mummy bean - well said! hehe...yaya be it SAHM or FTWM, we are all great mummies...mummies are the greatest after all :p
 
miss83 - yes i latch and bottle feed since bb was born...i tried doin tbf in the hospital but it was too tiring as they had to push bb to me every 2 hours at night, and i didn't even have enough sleep before his next feed is up again...since newborns are always sleepy and it took me so long to latch him and get him to suckle...i was so tired out i told the nurses to feed FM once in a while...

i can't remember when my bb started to fuss before feeds....i think mine started even before he reached one month...now he still does...
 
vernice: We hire this maid specifically to look after baby because after I go back to work, will leave baby and maid at in-law's place on weekdays. Bring baby and maid home on Friday nite, then sun nite bring them back to in-law's place.

Now with her help, I also still feel sluggish and sian at times. I understand...

same..my bb is 7 wk old too..
hopefully this is just a period that will end soon.
my friend's bb started to fuss on his 4th wk..and back to normal when he was 2 month old.
it was really struggling for me this time..

miss83 - i guess its jus the different phases ba...will be over so don't worry...like i tink my boy was undergoing a growth spurt for the previous week but now he's better *touch wood*...i realli hope the days where he fusses from 1am till 5am+ in the morning are over....*prays hard*

to be fair to my hubby, he never nags at me about spending money. He does buys me what i want.. its just my own pride.. i have to admit.

cos i feel good taking my parents out for a good meal n buy them stuff but i dun feel good using hb's money to do that even he doesn't mind.

abel super alert yesterday morn frm 245-545am...nearly faintz...reason fed him bf instead of fm n w wind in his stomach...went thru rounds of diaper change/coaxing/feeding ridwind medication/bf b4 he sleeps....aawwzz...

u n hb personalities a perfect match...din noe u dig this...e 1st one is dominant while e 2nd one is minor...i shld b a mel phleg while my hb is a chlo sang...well opp both attract n irritate @ different phases of our marriage lives...

miss 83...i not sure of nipple confusion but when my bb refuses to latch on...itz known tat he is tongue tied n tat obstructs him frm eating heartily...he seldom smiles...frowns more often.
Esp w botak head, when he cries, really look like cheena ah peh...hope he saves e smiles for e last...

tink most of us by 3rd mth will enjoy bb more...bb will let out many cute noises n like to talk to themselves...oh ya...expose them to Chi stories n lang...they learn el more easily than chi...otherwise u will hav a hard time...esp for e boys...

thks sassybb for mentioning e BECO carrier...super cute...oredi got e sling...better not buy extra...wait waste waste...it sure looks a lovely gift for a newborn mom...;)

i oso yet to go back to my gyni...haizzz hope my body ok...will do so soon...bb jabs...is it true bb shld b given gripe water b4 e injection to reduce chance of having fever? Any ideas? Oh ya...after injection, do use a warm towel to rub e affected area..wait got blue black mark...not very gd blood circulation for bb...

BB massage...i got a bk tat shows u step b step...very gd for collicky bbs...tink internet shld hav...jus do a search...oh mayb try u tube...

FTWM gives me the freedom to buy stuff for bb as n when i like. this is the only part which i tink i will like. haha i hv no ambition and is not career minded, dun mind the drop in appraisal or watever. am just concerned if i can leave on time to come home to see bb once i start work :p bad worker huh...

me too! oso having strange unexplained throbbing pain in my breast from time to time. not consistent, juz from time to time, the pain will shoot up then go away or throbbed for a while (usually half to an hour) then go away. i just dismiss it.

hee tink i'm more greedy. if can, i wish to be SAHM with my little one till he's 3, if not 6 yrs old :p then can see all his developments first hand n b the first one he sees when he wakes up, when he released fm kindergarten etc. this is my ideal but not possible in today's world. also must work to save more for #2, if we hv :p

It depends on whether family or career is more important ba...both have its pros and cons...

im considering converting to part time but cant take the pay cut leh.. very heart pain... hahaha! but my boss is quite pro family... i also dunno how.. when i bring bb for jab on sat then il speak to her ba...

oh I made all his medical appts on sat..so weekday i have my in laws to help..already not seeing him much on weekdays..so I hope can plan for some long weekends with my darling... but think my wishful thinking only la..my boss wun be so nice to grant me long weekends every now and then esp Friday is one of my busiest day of the week...

anyway regarding appraisal u know I am told to be given a lower grade appraisal becos I am away on ML and my mcs last year for my pregnancy complications... so unfair right ? any mummies encounter this problem too ? they told me they can't give me high appraisal becos I am away for 4 months so not contributing to the dept...

mummybean - im working with a pte clinic at upper thomson area.. =) and i must agree working in our line of work... is quite pathetic the pay.. so i also cnt afford for pay cut ah... very heart pain...
 
pinksorbet - the earlier u start to pay, the earlier u can stop paying? LOL! ya that time get keys then renovation... we moved in only after 5mths+ frm getting the keys... every mth still have to pay lor... feel a bit what but no choice ya. hahahaha... anyway nw also every mth pay this n that this n that... every time pay come in.. pay n pay... and spend n spend... LOL... i guess i really cant not work.. i need to have spending power!!! =P

My previous job was service line. My new boss gave me excuse that because i in 3 months ML, he do not understand me too well so cannot promote me. I was like huhh....i been looking after a store for so long without any manager and this is the excuse that he gave me. I was so angry lor, worse still when i saw the name list for promotion, i more angry. You know what? A lady who only has promote to assistant manager, just last than 1 year promote to manager by him and she worked together with my boss for less than 6 months while i at least have work with him for almost a year lor. This make me more firmly to change to my currect office job.
Sorry for complaining abit.
