You looked so at ease and enjoy your pikkolo so much that I'm so tempted to buy it though I'm trying to tell myself to not buy on temptation! I have a MIM sling which I bought almost 4 years back but only use about twice with my older boy.

I read that some mommies are taking fenugreek as supplement for increasing supply. Is it ok to take the pills without gynae consultation?

I am doing tbf. I have sharp pains in my breasts quite frequently. Do any mommies experience that? Is it normal?

wow! u look great with the carrier! so tempted to get one.. but it's out of my budget. I've been using the sling though. worked fine for me for the time being.

Me #2 mom liao still don't dare nurse on the go. One thing is she is also not the latch n drink till finish type. Will latch, then need to Burp, see see look look, latch then sometimes even need to rock. Haha. Later ppl will wonder what is happening under the cover.
 
Let down reflex
Hi Kat, i wonder if the sharp pain u mention is the let down reflex. I normally experience this about 1 hour after i pump. During each pump, i experience about 1-2 let-downs.When i bf baby, i experience the let down reflex about 3-4 times during a feed. (on 1 breast). Not sure if diff people have variations...

Stretchmark on breasts
am i seeing these? sure looks like it...anyone has a good cream to this? will that Clarins treatment oil help?

thanks for replying! hmmm. i do have letdown reflex during bf. but this sharp pain happens all the time even when i'm not bf. that's why i'm kinda worried if there's anything wrong.
 
have a feeling of blocked ducts on my right breast so getting up to pump the remainder after latching...gosh, ever since becoming a mum, have to go through wrist pains, bulging belly, nipple cracks/bleeds, insufficient sleep, backaches, shoulderaches...& the list goes on...all this just for a smile on his face every morning....
 
kat I took Fenugreek and it worked for me.
It's supposed to be a herb so no need for prescription. But always consult first if it makes you feel better.

One more plus point for the BECO for those considering it. Some people may not like the Y insert but I think it's one of the best features. Because of that, it's easy to pass the carrier to another person WITH baby strapped into it. Tried it yesterday with my parents, who were using it for the first time yesterday. They were surprised at how easy it was to use it. It was so hot at the food center, we kept passing the poor little girl around haha.

Yes daphne I took out the infant insert. She actually fits better now.

By the way, if anyone doesn't want their Cold Storage stamps please pass to me!!

Oh and for those looking for swim diaper, I have this one that I'm thinking of selling. Prefer a more 'girly colour'. I like this because it's lined with mesh and a padded strip in the middle to catch any 'accidents'. I have another piece and must say it works well. This is size 12 months (8-10kg) but I feel it can fit 6kg and up depending on how big your baby's thighs are.

I wonder when i can really slim down to pre-pregnancy. Although the weight has gone down, i still feel hips, butt and thighs very fat. Feel so frumpy sometimes!

Sassybaby's place is very far neh.. i am not confident of bring her out alone yet.. my test water platform is Jurong Point only wor.

Last night, me and family went for mother's day dinner at jurong point. so many ppl, brianne kept crying. when i managed to put her to slep on her stroller.. got one ah pek accidentally bumped into her stroller and she starts crying again. lucky my parents and bro are there to help, else i don't know how..

have you tried yet? i cannot remeber if there is a slope up to the MRT station from Lakeside.. else i dun know how to push my stroller up an down the whole flight of stairs to even get to the station.

ya.. I stayed at pioneer station..really thank god for the station..or else I dunnoe how to go Jurong Point taking feeder bus with my pram alone... :p but even going on MRT...was stressful I thought...cos at boon lay all the people jus gush in without giving way to me and once I nearly got my Favian trapped in the train cos I need to be out first in order to get my pram lifted up to cross the gap at the platform... Ugly Singaporeans...

For Mother's Work, need to be $800 in single receipt. But I think can negotiate to be in multiple receipts... Let me know if you have any recent receipts. I am going to spend $500 there soon.

jtho Don't bother getting your own Mothercare card. Just use mine, I'll PM you the card number. Then if we hit $3k, they will upgrade to 15% discount, can share with the rest of the March mummies.

Oh man, 2 years old? I passed by the new Lycee in AMK, it's beautiful!! Still remember when I did summer school at the old Lycee. Building was crumbling, only good thing was the freshly baked pain au chocolate during 'pause dix minutes' haha

Am going for talk now on baby's sleeping habits and how to regulate their sleeping schedules. Will share if I learn anything new!

Very long didn't drop in already. Been very busy with my two gals. So sad, my baby fall sick bcos of her sis.. she keep touching and kissing her when she is down with flu and cough. Now my younger one is coughing badly away.

I thought the coffeeshop was under renovation. i used to go there for the teochew porridge, claypot porridge, fried &amp; bbq chicken wings as well as the mee pok..

the mee pok uncle changed liao so i don't eat it anymore. surprisingly, he came over to the Fei siong outlet at coffeeshop near my place.

is it still under reno?

I still can't confirm if i can make it this friday. You go ahead to order the food without my share first ba.
My #2 is down with fever. Went as high as 39.3degC yesterday and we immediately brought her to the 24hours clinic at TMC. Doctor say it might last another few days. So if she has not recovered by Wednesday, I guess I shall give the gathering a miss.
Meanwhile need to seperate Zachary from her also, leaving Zachary at my grandma's house with my mom and the maid to take care and I take care of #2 at home.
 
re: neck floats

all the floats are here already - the BP organiser popped by last evening to pass me the purple float

such a hectic weekend ... we went to vivo on sat and ikea &amp; courts (tampines) on sunday ... bumped into some frens and they were all amazed that i actually brought 2 of them out esp when #2 is just 7 weeks plus ... but i told them no choice (excuses too!!) cos my #1 super bored at home. he was so excited when we say we are going shopping that he quickly changed and kept asking us to be quick hahahaha

but it was a fruitful weekend cos we managed to get all the stuff that we wanted to buy for his new bedroom =)

nice boh.. i craving for dim sum, but still cannot eat.. i am staying away from seafood for 3 mths cos i c-sect.. i dun want to worsen my wound..

the staf told me.. if c-sect best not to do psotnatal masssage cos got possibility of injuring our wound.

when my gf told me that after massage will have blood discharge even after discharge clear liao.. but i suspect internal bleeding.. so i will postpone massage till later stage..

My letdown reflex is not pain but it is a funny sensation near the nipple area which intensify and then I know there is milk leakage following that. Little Ugin gave me letdown reflex the other day! Haha. That cute little guy.

Talking about the smile that melts your heart. He will just get cuter with the months, so much that you just want to pick him up and kiss and hug him all the time.... UNTIL *thunder and lightning* he starts displaying the terrible twos traits. By then you have to grit your teeth if you want to make sure you don't just whack him up. Haha. I was telling my sister yesterday that by the time my boy reaches 3 years old (he is 2.5 now and is at the peak, or rather I hope this is the peak, of terrible twos) I can switch into meditation mode anytime, anywhere. He is training me for that.

When calming a crying baby, remember not to feel flustered yourself, ya? Cos the baby can sense it in you and feel more insecure and cry even harder. The calmer you are, baby will calm down faster cos she can sense your calm heartbeat. For our first child, hubby was able to calm him down very fast and I think that is cos hubby remained very cool.... and baby sensed it.

I know your hubby is French, but why did you do summer school in Lycee? Language class?

Swine Flu
I know there are mummies who are concern about the swine flu and the gatherings coming up. Maybe we can do it this way, lets be responsible people and if we are sick, kids are sick or anyone else in the family whom we are in close contact with is sick, we just "isolate" ourselves from these gatherings for the sake of the babies. This way, we do not have to be too concern at the various meet-ups since everyone who is attending is assumed to be in the pink of health?
The reason why I didn't attend the gathering at alfafa's place was cos my #1 was sick that time

Regurgitation
i notice Keenan is regurgitating more these few days. Wonder if i stuffed him too full or its becoz he's playing/kicking around more &amp; causing him to spew?

Let down reflex
If let-down reflex means the milk coming in and breasts filling up, is it a sign for us to pump out? or do we stick to the usual 3-4hour timing? (can't possibly have to pump again just 1 hour after the last pumping session right...)

My girl is also regurgitating more. I am just hoping that it will not explode into a full blown reflux problem :S

I don't do anything following those letdown reflex. I am getting a lot lesser of those with this baby. Don't know if it is naturally like that or cos I am pumping a lot lesser now. I just latch on demand, which is an average of 3 hourly and just pump once a day.
