Kome : Your age risk for down sydrome is 1:769 but your test results show 1:4900 so it's low risk lor .. like mine , age risk is 1:369 and my test result show 1:1669 so it's low risk since it's around 5x lower .
 
3D scan : My gynea will do 3D/4D scan during detailed scan and will give us pix and CD but think going to charge us at $200+ ... I will do it lor since it's detailed scan cum 3D/4D scan ..

tuskywoollie, i rarely flare up except when pple provoke me but i also dunnoe why i'm more vocal nw. later kenna beaten up ah hahahah...maybe canoccasionally eat something sweet to make us happier.

Do you gals have this jabbing pain at the sides of ur abdominal area? I keep having this pain for the past few days. I dunno if it's round ligament pain.

So it's normal? I keep having it, esp at night. a number of times. Sometimes the pain is unbearable, although it oni lasts for awhile. Me so worried, dunno to go see gynae or not.
 
re: shampoo for bb

i would strongly recommend the Lactacyd pH3.5 for newborn bb ... this is also recommended by Mrs Wong cos its v mild. Cos i used Johnson & Johnson Head to Toe for my #1 when he was a newborn and had v bad rashes. Think its too strong for their skin.

now that he is 3yr old then we started using other brands.

re: Powder

I would recommend Pureen Baby Powder they have this one that uses Pure Cornstarch. When you apply powder on their neck and body, you can use those padding that we ladies use to apply our loose powder/compact powder instead of the white puffy thing ... cos that one will make the powder fly all around.

then again i started the poweder like when he is 6mth old or something ... before that i use the body cream for him.

re: durian

my dad is the one who is buying lots of durian and asking me to eat. but i totally have NO desire for durian this time ... only want to eat juicy fruits like pear, lychee, longan and even tomatoe heehee

i rem that before the amblica cord drop, we only clean up the belly button using the alchohol wipe provided by the hospital. that time we only wipe the bb ...

aft that when the cord dropped then we started to apply cream and the ru yi oil. till now my son who is 3yr old still use the ru yi oil.

and have those johnson baby oil for standby cos alot of bb will have cradle cap ... need to use the oil to soften the skin then can remove. otherwise the bb head v smelly cos thats what happen to my boy and we didnt realise that until he stinks hahahah

actually dun worry so much ... you will learn this at the antenatal class and when you pop ... the hospital have classes that you can attend while you are staying there.

i delivered at Mt A and I rem that they have lessons on how to bath the baby, breastfeeding and even exercise classes heehee

i think i need to attend the refresher course too ... alot of stuff forgot liao
 
I am back but did not eat my pan pizza yet.

Ladies, pls do not go to the pizza hut at Habourfront. Aiyo, i waited for 1hr after our ordering and only abt 40mins later my colleagues spagetti came and in the end i requested to take away my pizza instead. At there i did not even saw my pizza at my table at all.

Alot of our customer also complaining how come they were so slow in serving the food. Another anry thing is that the ladies next to our table arrived abt 40mins later than us had their food serve first.

Aiyo.....i had requested not to have the pineapple in my pizza and they still put in. Will not patronize that outlet ever again.

Ok, finished venting my fustration already.

I had the same pain last week.. it last about 3 mins..very painful..but I checked on my pregnancy book..it says it's normal due to the stretching of our uterus..
 
my stupid boss is trying to ask me to take 2 mths maternity leave and stagger the rest of the 2 months. So pissed off.

I wonder if I should write to him my planning of taking 3 mths one shot then cc to our higher level boss.

It best that can at least take 3 mths ML straight. My hb's gt 1 friend told me that she regretted to accept the offered from her company paying her extra for the 3 mth ML. She said can stayed longer and company her children.

Last 8 weeks of ML, the arrangement have to be agree by both company and ourself if not wrong.
 
ya.. the last 8 weeks have to be agree with both company and ourselves. so if i say i want 3mths and then stagger the last 4 weeks and if he dun agree, also got problem.

For me, my stand point is clear, i will take the 1st 3mths striaght. If he dun agree, i will go to higher level.

Hey girls, how is everyone? I've MIA for a long time huh?

Anyways here's a little update on my side. I went for my detailed scan yesterday. All is fine and I am expecting a baby BOY! I'm happy cos I was working towards it using the Shettles method. Gynae said that at 20 weeks it's too early to give baby's accurate weight but she showed me a graph in my scan report and said that my baby is not small not big but medium size for now.

My scan took a good 2hrs yesterday. Had to walk in and out of the scan room waiting for baby to get into the right position to complete the entire scan.

Also, gynae started me on the DHA pills. She got me Nature's Care Natel Care Plus which cost $57.16(I think) for 60 capsules.

Oh yes, I'll be starting my antenatal class with KKH tomoro. Anyone happen to be in the same class?

Just to check if you have already start buying stuff for the baby like clothing, booties etc or even milk bottles?

If you had already bought milk bottles, did u buy the plastic or glass ones?

Think i won't do it if it costs like $200plus...not sure if mine will be included in the DS bill but i dun tink so, cos the nurses never mentioned and the details never mention too...

need to save costs, so jus wait till bb come out and i can see him all i wan to, like my hb say, wait till he come out see the real person even better....hehe....

i heard ppl say plastic bottle not healthy..better buy the glass one. but i haven't really shopped for bb stuffs..last few weeks just bought cotton wool, bb wipes and rubber bath mat. for cot, stroller, bottles I'll wait for dec sales..

Last time i remembered 1 mummy mentioned that her gynae does not have any package and every time paid for $30 for each consultation+Ultrasound. Can let me know the address? Got hard time searching from previous post.

i also plan to take 3mths straight &amp; last 4wks stagger. But have not talk to my boss yet cos still early, plan to let him know after CNY.
 
I had already told my manager that i will be taking 3 mths straight and stagger the last 4 weeks. I am more KS.
 
caca : your gynea and mine is the same . Btw , when is your next visit , usually u see him at Mt E or Ten Mile branch ? Maybe we meet each other there .. mine last was last Fri , next will be 14 Nov .

what are the signs to labour? water bag burst? wat if *choi* it breaks in the office then how ah? hehe....

think he open at 830am or 9am bah n closed at 6pm but hor appt time mostly dragged until 7pm cos too many ppls liao.. maybe u cal cal n ask.. nos is 6255 3333..
