it's been 3 weeks since i try solids on my boy..but he still doesn't eat so much..the most is 2tbsp..but mostly just 1tbsp..
and still don't like any fruits that is too sweet or sour..he only takes cereals..be it plain or barley or honey..for fruits, he only take pumpkin, avocado, apple n pear..but refused to eat 2 days in a row..so must really have alot of varieties...
are all ur bb good eater?

oh..about honey..
i heard honey can cause botulism..but how come nestle has wheat&honey? is it safe? my boy likes it..already gave him twice..

Yah...hope all babies who are sick can recover soon...very heart pain to see them sick. Eames was very sian yesterday when we visited him at my mum's plc too...not his usual self but no fever. We thought what happen but luckily after we left, my sis said he was smiling again. We think he purposely act sian and sick so that he can escape his flash card lesson.keke.

if i'm not wrong 3tsp=1tbsp right...so that means ur bb also eat 2tbsp...because I read on the box, for full feeding is 5tbsp..and my boy only take 1.5-2tbsp then i thought so little..kekeke...

anyone giving healthy times brown rice cereal? i gave my gal 6 tablespoons of cereal each time, cos after mixing with water the quantity is not alot le.. tats why i increase to 6 tablespoons which she will finished it. Is that too much? For puree she will take half a jar too.

Been a looong time since i posted here. Last time i believed when i gave updates during my labour. I was the 3rd march mummy to deliver. Haha. But a month early so i posted in feb thread. Recall back then that nobody can advise me much as most of u pregnant still. Hehe.
My boy will be 8mths in less than 2wks. Still small. 7.8kg.. I noticed some of your babies can sit steadily and even crawl. My boy cant. Maybe cos he is a premiee he is abit slow.
Wish to attend gatherings if ok.

haven't posted for a while as really bz with my girl. I realise from the posts that a lot of bbs are already able to sleep through the night! So envious!
My girl can't sleep well. Only fall asleep at 12+am and always wake up at 3am+ to latch before falling back to sleep. Then wake up again at 7+am. Any mummies have this problem? My girl don't like to take day naps too. Sigh. Really worried she's not getting enough rest. I'm going crazy too trying to coax her to sleep so I can rest too! So tired nowadays without proper sleep at night for 6+ months. Help!

wow all this talk about MILs. As lovely as mine has been, I'm glad we don't live in same country. We're just as OCD as each other we'd drive each other nuts. DH does a very good job of being the middleman though.
Hugs to those who are having woes. Sometimes, we just have to close an eye, look the other way if need be.
My own mum has so many diff views from me. But we agreed that we respect the other party's house rules. When baby is at home with me, my mum tries not to criticise my child rearing methods even though she fails quite miserably haha. When baby is with her, I don't question too much. I make noise only on big issues like always being in carseat when in car.
Reverie, annmelody and Lenny, my heart goes out to both of you have 'survived' this far. Mothers will always make sacrifices for their little ones, maybe this is your sacrifice? Just have to refocus on the important thing, which is your immediate family.

puree: I really can't stand this French brand called Bledina. It's meant to be very popular there but A rejected all of their products except one. I now call it Bloody-na. yuck. So happy to be back to my fave Earth's Best, Hipp and Only Organic. Better still, DH bought me the Babycook! Will now try to make all the puree on my own. Wish me luck in figuring out the device first though. I am a tech idiot.

some updates on my trip:
It was rainy when we first got there but had some beautiful days, esp in Paris. Really in love with that city despite the stinky metro. Ate so much I put on 2.5kg!! How to resist cherries, tomato, potato all from the garden. Also, some fabtastic bistros in Paris, PM me if you need the names. My fave was one at Porte Maillot - 38 euros for aperitif, fresh bread with olive tapenade and butter, entree, plat, dessert, half bottle of wine, coffee and tea. Food was excellent and they threw in half more bottle for baby lol
Drove a lot around his home town to visit relatives and attend a wedding. That was so tiring. Next time, I'll request that they come to visit us instead. It was nice to see everyone so delighted to see her though.
Didn't do much shopping at all, so disappointed. Even at LV and Longchamp, I just handed over my list, paid and check items were ok then left. Sorry to those whose items I didn't manage to get. The crowds so crazy at Champs Elysees and Blvd Haussmann, I couldn't believe we are in the midst of a world wide recession. Didn't get much for baby either. Nevermind, it just means more money saved haha.

oh and for those who wanted to collect stuff from me, I'm away Friday night to Monday night. Going to Tokyo for wedding. Last min decision, no baby, staying at Park Hyatt. Wheeee so excited. Some REAL couple time for a whole weekend.

Also, the average time when a baby can start sitting supported with 1 hand on the floor is about 7 mths. So pls dont worry abt ur bb if the PD do not have any concerns.
We are planning a 1 yr old bash next apr. Maybe you can join us then..

I think it is just my MIL who thinks milk is not important. At nights, when I do my feeding at 12am and 5am, my BB will be able to finish 150ml at each feed.
In order not to have conflicts with her, i think, daytime, I don't interfere what she does. Only night time, I do what I can to give milk to BB.
I also stay with my MIL. I also feel that there is no privacy and no couple time at all. The most sickening thing is that, now, whenever my hubby plans for overseas trips,whether long or short ones, my MIL will be in the list. He says, else leave MIL alone at home is not appropriate.... He is the only son and my FIL passed away already.....

Asura - same lor, cos my hb casually mentioned to my mil about us taking a break to go for a short getaway...she doesn't seem to encourage and say now bb still too young...
cindy - hb thinking of saving also...now i stay with my inlaws but hb and i occupy the master bedroom...before i got married i told them i can jus occupy one of the rooms la but they insisted on us taking over the master bedroom...it was a nice gesture from them i thought...
strawberry - my hb not the onli child but onli son...last time before we got duxton, we actually applied for a buangkok flat (which is near to not onli his parents but my parents place) we failed...we even appealed to HDB but they failed to give in to us and they emphasised that the system goes through balloting...so even if our parents stayed about two bus stops away they also don't wan to give us a chance...quite pissed la, so end up we had to apply further and got duxton...oh well...

More tiring for me lor. Today morning was angry with HB. This few nites he can still sleep like pig while i was worry about his fever and cannot sleep well. Woke up every few hours to take his temperature, abit high fever quickly sponge him and to feed him milk.
I have to wake him up to make milk lor, feeding was still done by me. I had been looking after Anver during nite time for almost 2 weeks already. He can still told me that he did not heard ANver's crying. I was like halo.....he got fever leh, never heard him cried shouldn't you wake up occassionally to check his fever?

Kome haha same here but I guess it's my duty to wake up cos this is my full time 24/7 job. Don't get too upset. I'm as feminist as they come but women are normally the ones who take on multiple roles, worker bee, nightingale carer, lover, cheerleader. We're multi talented!
Pinksorbet, don't be envious. I had a crappy time before this where things were very down in every aspect of life. Things are not perfect now either, but I choose to focus on the good stuff and manage the not so good stuff. Er, if I am talking nonsense, pardon me. I've had such broken sleep the last 3 wks plus, quite delirious by now

oic...well..at least u got a queue no. I ballot so many times..maybe 3 times, always get lousy queue no. But i think it's all fated that i gotta stay near my in-laws instead of together with them cos i really resented it. My office here also can feel the earthquarke.
