The thread is alive agn and my Eames is officially 6mths now today (24 Sep) Time flies...and I can't wait for him to start crawling so that he can self entertain and not cry for me to carry him.

Teething
No tooth in sight yet but now he likes to 'bite' my shoulder and face when I carry him...like very "rou4 jing3"..treating my shoulder like a teether.

Your holiday sounds so exciting and I salute u and hubby for having the courage to bring Gracie on a long haul trip...I would like to start with a cruise first..planning for next Feb.

Thanks... i have gone thru that phase...

its not just the part that my PILs humiliated me on my wedding day and they humiliate my parents too.. that's why i wanted to go off after the morning session while i was at the venue preparing for the lunch banquet. My 2 best friends and My boss who is my mentor, he went to the changing room/ waiting area and spoke to me to make sure that i am ok ,.. he sort of cheer me up. else.. i would have just walked off.. i don't want to go into details here.

to be honest, i cannot even bring myself to watch my wedding video or my wedding day photos cos of this. after the gueests left.. i went to change and then just walk off.. then never spoke to them ever again.

when i had Bree, i gave hubby face.. by inviting them to my place for her Full month celebration.. in return.. i got insults .. not jut direct to me but indirectly to my mum and my MIL &amp; her 3rd sis.. said it to my face with my mum present..

so.. it triggers me again lor...

Thanks! Actually, it was a challenge that have to be faced. When one have to do something, it have to be done, dont think abt how. That was my mentality before I got on the plane. It was tough but the basic principals are just to keep bb safe and comfortable. Heck care everything else.

Thank you for your compliments on my travel series. Starting to feel like I am writing a book liao... hahahah.. no lah.. not so much stuff.. but i am surprised that i have written about 6 problems liao.. when i was there, i din think there were so many problems!!

Problem 7: Dry Skin

Yah... Do remember to apply body and face moisturiser on your bb. The weather during the period of ur visit is dry and cold so moisturising cream is more recommended than moisturising lotion, tat u probably use here. If bb has existing skin problems/eczema, do check out what is best to use for her there. Dry weather makes the skin worse.

Problem 8: Blk Ducts

This is the mummy's problem and not baby's problem. But do remember that there is no help except the hospital if blk ducts/mastisis occur. Unlike here where we can always call mdm rokiah. I kena mastisis even though i was on full latching when I was here. So to be safe, pls bring your pump along to clear ur boobs in case blk ducts occur.

Finally done with the problems encountered during my trip.. Wow! 8 of them.. impressed with myself now... hahahah

I shall now start with some tips for the trip.

Tip 1: Medication/Vaccination

Bring your own medication. Seeing a doc in US is quite torturous. They spent at least 1 hr going through patient details and verifying insurance before they even tend to you. Thus, would only feel sicker than ever before the doc even comes.Yes.. i went to emergency ward due to very high fever and they still took 1 hr to clear me.

Do check with your PD before your trip and get some medication to standby for bb. medication for cough, running nose, panadol, etc.. U can get these there but who can think straight when bb is sick so good to have a small bottle of the medication ard. U might also want to check with PD on vaccination recommendation, such as premounccol, rotavirus, flu vaccine (now that they have passed 6 months).

okok... pump end... would continue if i am not busy with other stuff during my next pump session.

I forgot to add that the hospital/clinic dont have medication. So got to travel to pharmacy to get medication after seeing doc.. it was really terrible when one is already sick.

adding on to the hosp/clinic problem..best is to buy comprehensive travel insurance, 1mth before flying off...
Cos if (touch wood), gracie is sick before flight, can claim insurance for both you and her flight cost plus medication.
And when you are in US, if gracie need to see a doc, you can request for 1 to come by your hotel, home etc and can claim insurance too.
I travelled to US with mum before and she was down with fever and flu. So we asked hotel to call a doc, guess how much is the bill?!
A whopping US$300 and thats without medication! Heng i bot travel insure, else my head will swell...

Morning, today is a nice day to sleep at home but too bad need to come to office.

11th day already and Anver is still having slight fever. Luckily he still looks energertic, but of course still hope he recover fast fast.

He got no rashes or anything lor. The funny part is we can only feel abit warm behind his head and back of the neck only. Cannot feel any warm from his body and forehead. Strange leh..... I don't think it is dengue. PD also never mentioned that it is dengue when i brought him to see them.

Be prepared that Anver will break out into rashes and after that his fever will go off - sounds strange right .... but thats what happen to my #1 ... everytime when he breaks out into rashes the fever will just disappear

As long as he is active and drinking ... he is ok of cos dun let the fever go too high

Relax ... me oso kanna left-right yesterday from my big boss hahahaha so totally no mood to chat at the forum at all ... cos she keep using my appraisal to 'threaten' me ... feel like telling her that i already know that my appraisal for this yr is gone case one cos preg + ML ... so whats there to threaten ... anyway scold me cos they themseleves playing politics then we stuck in the middle ... *sigh*

i saw a picture and really amazed at how the mother gave birth to such a baby... by comparison, oli is already 6 mths and he is only 8kg, lighter than this newborn, but longer than him la... hahaha

kome - maybe u cn ask doc if it cld be dengue... i got dengue when i was in pri sch and the doctors i went too nvr suspected it... i was sick for 2weeks!!! on n off fever.. then giddy... then go sch.. then mc.. then go sch.. then mc... -_-" went to polyclinic 2 times... then went my GP 2 times... on the 2nd visit, my dad asked if it cld be dengue.. then they took the bld test and confirmed it was dengue.. -_-" but by then it was clearing up already... luckily wasnt that serious... tsk tsk...

or cld be heaty... the weather is quite bad nowadays... anver doesnt seem to be drinking a lot also... is he taking enough fluids n solids? maybe give him some barley water?

Hiaz...cos there are 2 senior managers just loves to play tai ji, so pek chek and I hate to handle their case cos they always ask me and my other colleagues to answer on their behalf even on those urgent case..
actually my own RO(reporting officer ) is a very nice n caring lady, she keep asking me am I ok with work, can handle stress etc..and I always say managable...
But she is a very detailed person so sort of perfectionist and super busy with meeting/projects one..need to always catch her if she is at her room, I was on leave last friday so was not around,then gt a complain being unaware as was a case suppose to be handle by that 2 senior managers, end up I answer on their behalf before I was on leave so I thought all settled. In the end my RO clear the shit for me,hiaz...
So on tuesday back to office, my RO came to me and talked to me and I was shocked I gt complained by customers, so I explain to her I did tell that 2 managers to handle but they just wrote an email to me and tell me reply excatly what they type so I just followed lor.
So she advise me no matter how busy she is...tell me to draft her any email no matter what. Think she also know that 2 managers pattern la.
Then yesterday, me and another colleague ganna the tai ji again, but my colleague called the company yest. I was in the loop for the case and I have been KIVing abt the case. My colleague was on leave today so this morning that manager just abruptly came to me and say why I ignore calling the company, blah blah blah!!!
Wah lau, in my heart I am thinknig my colleage already called liao mah and I was also in the loop and not ignoring it at all!! In the 1st place, u know the whole situation, why dont u call the company and settle?? Keep doin tai ji, asking both of us handling your shit. I just walk away to the toilet..really buay tahan and piss off manz!!

Seabreeze, now is appraisal time for me too, well I just do my part, whatever they want to feedback, let them be manz..I got nothing to hide!

Oh, it's common for babies to break out into rashes after a fever ah? My boy had rashes when he had flu and got us so worried. Took him to see PD and she say, seems like the rashes are not of too much a bother to him as he was smiley and active.

Its like that one lar ... i did up a budget for family day and put in some buffer and she scolded me for been loose with the budgeting *faint* i always tot that budget is as loose as possible and spending as tight as possible mar?!? *like that oso wrong*

After that never mind ... I say that we budget for 3,500 ppl but frankly at most 1,200 ppl attend family day for the past years ... then she scolded me - Why u never highlight this to me?

In my mind I was like ... hello you were at the event and you can see with your own eyes ... and last time i was just an exec ... if that time my 2 bosses never tell you ... why wld i tell you?? Now cos i am OIC then i tell you lor *faint*

So you say do the event and buget for just 2,000 pax ... but v risky lar ... family day ler ... if really everyone register and come then HOW?!? I oso headache ... sigh

For appraisal ... i dun care one lar ... i typically will give it my best shot and no regrets one lor ... and i am usually quiet during appraisal ... cos my big boss v 'smart' one ... so sometimes inncocent remarks will be taken seriously =p

Anver did his blood test on tues and than went back to see PD, i had asked him about his blood test and doc said that the report does not show he got any virus. Will this report also show if dengue is existing?

Today i saw the newspaper also. Woww.....the baby really big and does not look like newborn lor. How does the mother carry him in her womb during pregnancy?
