(2009/03) March 2009 MTBs

alfafa:: haha ME ALSO LAZY Mama. i also never cook apple. I SCRAPE tooooo!! hahaha!!!

jojo, alfafa, i also have a similar thing from leapfrog but i left it in the car, it's called lulu the spider, she loves to taptaptap and it will sing, A,B, C.... ahahaha. can hear the bubble sound when she taps on the tummy. haha! actually most of her toys are eithe leapfrog or vtech, cause inherited from her brother mah HAHA!

alfafa...wat fp grand piano are u talking abt?:p
Recently i've placed an order for a wooden toy piano from a BP here. The one i had ordered only had 25 keys.

Hi Asura,
Ah ya! I didn't notice Pigeon baby snack the ingredient got salt & sugar! Since it is baby food, the level should be safe for baby to consume occasionally? Anyway, won't give BB too much in case heaty cannot poo poo again. Initially, give a cracker just to let BB learn to hold and bring food to mouth and chew... as well as to ease her teething mood.

RE: Porridge
My mum sometimes feed BB with plain porridge. Although plain, BB also like to eat.

RE: Pea
Can we use sweet pea to make pea puree? the one usually serve in Japanese cuisine.

RE: Ikan Bilis
If want to add Ikan Bilis to baby food, suggest buy those without salt. BTW, can we use fresh anchovies for calcium instead?

alfafa - wa u bought a lot of toys for gracie??? all the piano/drum thingy?

cindy - no class today? u also bought a lot of stuffs for ur #1 last time ah?

sun - u can find the FP drum at all toys store

ohhhh today, I gave sweet potato to Violette. she didn't like it. almost wanted to vomit, sigh... but I gave about 5 spoons and finish with my BM. and then she gave sweet potato poo. very smelly. kk

alfafa
I checked in my stroller and it was 13 kg, very bulky. I saw some ppl bring a light weight portable stroller that can be on board. I actually thinking to get it for my next trip coz saving one bag is real help for long hour trip. you may check out if you plan to have many luggage.

Where can we buy a real drum for baby? I see my baby enjoy during Kindermusik class, so thinking of getting a real one instead of toy drum for her to play.

Hi strawberrys,
I'm interested in the piano too! is it good?

Yiyi, it is 12pm noon this sat, u are confirmed

Oh dear, hope Anver recovers soon. Fever for 10days no joke.

Seabreeze/Ivy,
Can't remember which of u mention abt cooking big pot of stock then freezing it? What container do u use for freezing?

Alfafa,
Since u can't go east side, why not try LV? Grand Canyon is awesome and LV at nite very colourful
happy.gif
Can try to use priceline.com or something to bid for airticket & accomodation for such trips. Can really get very good deals, that's what we did when I was there for 1/2 yr with hubby.

vernice:: haha!! today finish early ma. haha!! now shioking. hahah preparing for tmr's and fri's lesson loh. so much to mark! heh!!

prosper,
it is a leapfrog drum lah. not FP. Leapfrog Learn and Groove Alphabet drum. :)
http://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-Learn-Groove-Alphabet-Drum/dp/B000ETRENS/ref=pd_sbs_t_1
Not familiar with the FP drum. This leapfrog one has really good reviews on amazon, one of their bestsellers

This is the fisher price grand piano
4.5 out of 5 stars by 101 reviewers
http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Interactive-Baby-Grand-Piano/dp/B000EULXAM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1253688107&sr=1-1

so far keenan, eddric, gracie, oli and Ugin all seem to love the above toys, except for the drum cos I totally forgot that I had that in the drawer. hehehehe. Even my hubby's friend who came over for a short visit with her 10mth old son. Her son refused to leave out house cos he loves to play with the stage!

the Piano is really good. There are 8 keys with 3 nursery rhymes on the hard"book" attached. You can play according to the keys indicated on tjhe book. The keys have 4 functions either play like a piano, or learn the numbers, or the colours, or the doh ray me far so lah tee dohs .. whatever you call that. musical notes?

Then at the back has a lever (to learn to pull & push), a slider (to learn sliding), a button (to learn to press), and a turning knot. I demostrated to her once and used her hands to do the above functions now she is always busy sliding, turning, pressing, pulling and pushing. Very clumsily lah but she gets the pic. She a;lso likes thrashing on the keyboard. :p

The stage is wonderful too. So far the babies who have played with it like to wack the heck out of the buttons, lever, etc etc

Teddybaby,
yes yes LV is nice but I went last year already. In fact Gracie was conceived in my Frisco/LV trip. Went to the Grand Canyon but alas my lazy hubby refused to go on even the shortest trek. Wah lao. We did quite an extensive roadtrip then. LV hotels are the best! Freaking cheap!

mangogal,
yah the piano is fantastic. They can play till they are quite big. There is also an auto play function whereby the corresponding keys will lit up as the song plays so I suppose for older toddlers they can play along. The stage is damn cool too!

I bought 2nd hand a loooooooooooong time ago.

Actually jojo, if youhaven;t sold the FP kick and swirl, you might want to bring it out again cos it is better for older infants who can sit. I intend to bring that out again for her to play sitting up. Then she can detach the balls, roll them down the slides, put them into the centre compartment by inserting through the designated holes etc. Should be much more fun now.

Inya,
I think yours was a buggaboo (sp?)? or a quinny zap? Those are very heavy. No joke carrying those around. Mine is a normal combi so I imagine it wouldn't weigh more than 6/7kg. heeeee intend to bring a cheapo infant car seat over to use on our roadtrip, after that just discard there.

Alfafa, ya I read the review frm Amazon, more interactive when they are older like 8 months and above, wah lucky u bought 2nd hand!

Can order frm Amazon right? Want to buy for Caroline's baby dedication in Oct

prosper
i oso love the piano... wondering selling how much locally???

alfafa
yr hse got all those toys... i bring my boi over to play k? see which one he likes best then buy for him... hahahaha

strawberry,
is that the authentic schoenut (sp?) piano? That looks fab! but so expensive. Or did you buy the one with no brand? TONS cheaper than the schoenut and it still looks as gorgeous. Only thing is I suspect the latter's keys are not accurate though.

sunshinebaby,
hahahha can can no problem. Next week? I am leaving next fri. :) I stay at Queenstown.

Heard from jtho that it is retailing at $139.50 each for the piano and stage. Very exp. Worth waiting for the FP warehouse sale? but I don't know when lah. Sometimes robinsons has 30% sale too.

Yah good buy. Can play till they are quite big esp the piano. My niece is almost 3 and she still loves it. But I think that should be an exception lah. hehehe

cindy,
oh I heard that the lulu the spider toy is very good too. I have quite a couple of similar lamaze toys ... aiyo ... they are all over the place. Some in the car, some in her room, some in the living room where her playmat is and some forgotten in the drawers.

Vernice,
yah yah very fortunate. I started collecting toys for her round about her 1 or 2 mths I think.

http://www.kidscentral.com.au/p-513-activity-caterpillar.aspx

then bits and pieces of sensory cubes etc etc. Messy!

yuki,
wow your girl doesn't like the counting pal?? it is a very very good toy, also one of the best sellers one amazon rating 4.5 out of 5 stars by lots of people. Maybe you want to sell to someone here? I'm sure people will want. Cost about $39.9 retail if I am not wrong. Don't know why it is stated as us70+ on amazon.

Yah I have quite a no of lamaze soft books too. She likes to "eat" them. Aiyo

yuki
our bb at tis stages sure put anything they can grab into their mouth one... i kept his soft toy at tis stage coz dun wan him to stuff into his mouth... hahaha

alfafa
i oso hv the LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal™ Plush but u hang at where in car for gracie to play huh? i can't figure out where to hang/put lei...

sunshinebaby,
I usually take public transport on the trip there then cab back cos baby is tired by then. Or if hubby can fetch me back then I will simply cab there. Basically on way cab lah. Do come. We can help you and Heeren is not crowded anyway so fear not. :)

wow so far we have 2 MIA and 1 MIJ hahaha

Teddy,
previously friends and I joked that we would name our children wherever they were conceived. So for a moment the joke that we would name Gracie, "Napa" for napa valley, Frisco for San Fran, and Vegas for LV! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeucks but the joke was turned on one of my other friends instead ... because then he has to name his girl Ah Soo for Lor Ah Soo. Hahaha

alfafa,teddybaby,sun,
Marissa was made in Korea hahaha, seems like the saying that people get pregnant easier when on holidays is quite true
happy.gif

yours is seated facing back right? if so can hang from the back seat so that baby's legs can reach the toy? Mine uses her legs to kick the rattle, and occasionally she can even reach the main body with her legs. Hehehe

I plan to change the toys in the car liao. Maybe put in the Vtech Activity Centre http://www.amazon.co.uk/VTech-Busy-Activity-Centre/dp/B0007A5HLA

Very very good toy. Tons of things/skills to do and learn. But I think it must be a very outdated toy cos you can't see it in the stores liao.
