Samval : My kids 6 & 2. we send the elder 1 to Fairfield under phase 2B (phase 2C need to ballot)... ur elder 1 in P1 already rite? so no need to worry abt subsequent kids liao?
 
miaiko: I plan to use the bath hub when i marry that time.. my mum got buy for me.. is for bb want.. can use that ma

miaiko: i also went for tour at TMC and they said no give. they will just give one green colour bag with thomson logo and the words "Celebrating Life" with some brochures and samples inside.

2_boys_mum: i tot all epidural has the adjustable thingy??
 
suika: confirmed got a light green colour bath tub cos the last time i went to visit my dad, when the mother checked out with bb, the nurse will also pass the mother the tub & a yellow bag...
 
cjteng: I guess the goodies of the hospitals are about the same then. Just a difference of 'I am a Mt A baby, TMC baby...'

Samval> diabetics is very common in spore.my mum also have diabetics for years,but under control,so is very impt to control e food that they eat.

TMC tour give brochures,milk samples + 1 boy's rompers,they have wkend tours at arnd 2pm,jus register at e counter.
seriously i dun really like TMC environment,think e hosp super cramped.

BTW any1 going for detailed scan at TMC next month?my date shld be arnd 10 Sept.maybe we can meet each other there

But I got back problem. So dun wanna squat or sit very low to bathe baby. Thinking how... hmmm...
 
Miaiko : i ever heard pple bath their babies at the sink, u may want to try that... but must be careful, make sure the sink is clean & oso better to place an anti slip mat. =)

Since you've back prob, must take care, make sure you change baby at the changing table (if u hv 1), dun bent down too much... my gynae told me some pple complain epidural causes them backaches, actually most of the time it's due to our posture when changing babies...
 
gelato: yah. thank u. I hurt/sprain my back very easily. during 1st trimester I sprain my back juz by sneezing. And was bed-ridden for 2wks! I cant get out of bed myself nor go to washroom. So scared now.

My sink is not so huge to contain baby. I think not hygienic also. Thinking of something stable to prop up the bathtub ...

Miaiko: My friend bought a bathtub that comes on a table from Kaki bukit.. say good for not bending.. but I guess propping it up on a table works as well

u gg for 11am one?? bt my appt is at 11am leh?? thot the nurse at clinic says if want to go for hosp tour, just go an hour b4 our appt?? how wor...??
 
Samval:Yah Im okie nw. Thank God. Told my gynea and she said I muz be extra careful when my tummy gets bigger.

sus: I have checked out such trolley like table that comes with changing table ontop and opens up to a bathtub. Tot it's quite good. BUT that will not last long when baby grows bigger. So I will still get a bath tub and then thinking of what else stable and waterproof to prop it up in the bathroom.
 
miaiko: how abt getting a chest of drawers to put baby clothes and put the bathtub on it? bt the con is that u'll need to do the bathing in the bedroom lo..
 
sel: i called up the TMC itself, they said one at 11am another at 2pm...how about calling them and enquire if after DS can or not. coz i remember the lady told me even 1 person also can bring go tour lor.
Btw, what happened to u at dr ang clinic? some nurse issue is it?

sel: my appt with dr ang is 3pm...so i think maybe i cant see u liao...anyway i just see the hospital tour for song la...coz i also confirm staying there.
 
mercsboy: slightly more then half hr...depending on how big is your grp n if u all hv lots of qns to ask....shd be on time for ur DS
 
this time round thought of deliver at MT (nearer to my place) , but too bad gyne doesn't want to go there....

yeah...been telling to take cab instead of driving there
 
mercsboy: TMC parking cannot beat Mt E lor!! everytime i go for my gynae's appt at Mt E, i park at paragon which is much much cheaper lor.... my ex gynae used to be at TMC, the fees are ok...
 
gelato: Your child going to Fairfield, P1 next yr? So nice! I was considering putting my #1 there, but have no affiliation so no choice... Got her into my alma matta instead. I wonder if we stay near each other... hmm..

No my kids can't really help look after the new bb leh. Maybe my girl, who's 4 YO now. My boy was born in early 2007, so he won't even be 2 when this bb is born. I'm old but my kids are young lah

yes, at Baby Hyperstore at Kaki Bukit, I saw them selling this bath tub which can sit on some foldable (cris-cross) legs which you can then carry and put in your bathroom. Seems very good.
 
ZILL: oh...yours at MT E, that one orchard area ma...haiz..tat day go taka for 1 hr plus only to see the baby fair, parking fees already $6+. heartpain sia
 
gelato: I checked that out when i went to Mothercare's flagship store. The tube alone is $30+ and the stand alone cost $70! *faint*

Zill: ya lor...parked at taka...1.5hrs only $6+ heartpain leh....now alot of shopping centres dont have after 5pm one time charge even...now parking are so ex!

sel: yah i tot of that too but gotta look for one that is very stable and wide enuf to hold the tub. Not easy to find. Also, i think i prefer to do the bathing in the bath room as an active baby ( I think mine is coz now everyday kick and kick alot)splashes alot leh..

Priviledged: Any idea how much they selling at Baby Hyperstore? I dun hv car, so kinda inconvenient to go there.. hmmm..
 
mercsboy...i understand dat for inpatient @ TMC...there will be a per day parking coupon at $3 which shd still be applicable but of cos it's a per usage thingy meaning cant drive in & out as wished....most likely I will be delivering @ TMC...either 4 bedders hoping to get free upgrade or mayb 2 bedder....

zill...not sure if I will end up fainting after watching the national day rally...=p
 
Miaiko...worst come to worst bath bb on the dining table lor unless u have a large vanity top in the bathroom otherwise space can be a constraint....
 


EmQ: So which sch did u register ur girl? Actually i wanted to place my girl to my old sch, but too far... R u staying in Queenstown area? I'm under Bt Merah constitutency... i think so.... juz shifted there last year... so not my childhood kampong.. =)

Priviledged : God's timing is always the best timing. 4yo can help a little already, i m sure she'll feel good if she can be of some help. =) Mine - if she not jealous, i happy liao...hehe...

Miaiko : wow! soooooooo ex ah!!!! maybe can try the Baby Hyperstore which Priviledged mentioned.
