wow... so many schools of thots.. hmm... mebbe for now, i will try to give Kasia milk 1st, then if she's still not satisfied, i give her 1tps of rice creal (HT which we bought from Kath last mth).. once she stablises, then i give her cereals and some milk ba? nvr knw weaning needs so much knowledge ;p

think i luckier ba, dats y i can say so easy. but so long as yr HB can provide, and for yr pay is more on supplementary for own spending, then i think sud be ok to downgrade lar. Like AdelChia said, no 1 is indispensable in a company, but our BBs only has 1 mummy... so nowadays i spend my 100% attention on Kasia, cos i feel bad for "neglecting" her on wkdays...

abt weaning..
recently my bb keep drinking alot of milk like approx 200ml per feed..my milk pump out also not enough liao..so I started feeding him semi solid mix with milk after his milk feed when I run out of milk keke. approx 1-2 tsp of organic avocado on some days n 1-2tsp of organic pumpkin some days.

I got the Super baby food book http://www.superbabyfood.com
n they also teach how to make super baby porridge using organic ground millet...anyone heard of this b4? The book say is better than brown rice...

Btw, anyone got their menses liao?? this is my 2nd menses after giving birth..and now my menses is like getting overflood!! imagine..i have to change every 4-5hours and it has been gog on since the beginning of this month..it is the long period and heaviest that i ever get in my life!! Is it normal? Sorry ah..but a bit yucky..i even got big lump of discharges which resulted from the thicking of lining. Once i got so heavy then..i overflood within 1-hr after changing a new pad..argh!!

no menses yet. Praying hard that not preggies. Getting a bit paranoid coz dunno if no menses is becoz still bf or coz preggies...

Gals.. I read on the book on First Food n they have the meal planner. I realised baby still drink alot of milk.

Can anyone share with me your baby 's meal plan?

Just an Example:
7.30am - First milk of the day - 180ml
11.30am- Cereal
1pm - Milk - 100ml
4pm - 180ml milk
7pm - cereal/ dinner
10pm - 180ml milk

Ahh.. i super busy but just no mood to work. Feeling stress also coz my work got a lot of datelines to meet. Bubble pearl, i know what you mean. Ur downgrade would means going to a job of less responsibilities; can go home on the dot, reach home no need to think of work at all type?

Ya, mine 1st - 3rd menses super heavy until i have to zzzzz the whole weekend when it came. Luckily all 3 came on weekend otherwise sure cannot go to work. The 4th mense only heave on 1-2 days and after that back to normal. For a moment i thot maybe my fibroid or what is causing it so now it seems that it is normal

I am so sure about the 3.46am cos tat is Zach's alarm clock!! He never miss that time..

When he start solid, it will be

0830 - Cereal + 50ml BM
1000 - 130ml
14ish - 180ml
18ish - 180ml
2300 - Latch

IFC will feed bb wif cereal everyday at 8.30am..they trying to get all the baby to have a fixed time for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea and dinner which i tink is good!

Mense: hmm...but mine is like lastly for more than 2 weeks liao leh...sian..this morning just stain my bedsheet and protector..haven't wash..think tonite have to take new protector to use liao..haiz!!

chantalle, ya ya! My job damm jialut leh..sometimes i work till i dun have mood to eat! During weekends, i still have to attends to emails and calls! arghe!!on leave also..just like ytd..i told my Japan colleague that i cannot reply his email cos i am in the clinic w my bb and he still ask me to send email..i am so pekchey that i nearly scold him!
 
i cannot stand the smell.. gives me headache.. then sometimes my MIL will use that instead of creamy or drapolene.. then i headache once i step into the house.... the smell to strong for me... hahaha.. u PM me your add..

have not started to intro any puree. think will start when zayden is 6mths which is 4days more!
 
Bbpearl: Frankly ah, i am also thinking of quitting my job soon. Really stressed up now. My boss even want us to go back to work on Sat now. I hate it. Now i am on a lookout for those stress free work. Finish and done for the day type, just hand over and pack up and go home happily with no worries. But of course must be mentally prepared for a pay cut in this sense. I have an offer on hand, to work in the airport but must do shift work. Still thinking if I should take it coz the pay is actually not much difference but i get to enjoy so much more freedom and less stress. On the other hand, if i work in the airport, it is something that is totally unrelated to what i major in school and usually people will tell me its a waste of talent..Is that what you meant by downgrading? what a dilemma haizzz..
 
chantalle: my meaning of downgrade, doing a job w less responsiblilty, keke..i am trying to escape( looking at this area). Paycut wise..hmm...should be ok lah..cos at the most my pay will down from a grad to a diploma holder..considering i am from engineering backgrd..keke..i am also doing something which is 200% unrelated from what i major in..

have you introduce zach cereals or solids yet? What do you feed him and how's your timing like?

hi Iris, the lunch seems to be very closed to the morning feed. Wow, your bb can drink. My bb gal drink so little (135 ml each time x 5/6)and without cereal. Now m really worried.

Any tips to increase bb's intake of milk and hopefully cereal?
 
izu, i will intro this coming saturday!! Hope he will like it.. these few days whenever we eat, he will suck his lips so i will pretend to offer him but he wil turn his head away like he is not interested.. so i hope he will love his cereals. I bought Heinz Organic Rice Cereal
 
Zachmommy - wow, my bb also sucking her lips alot. Is zach 6 months already? My gal just turned 5 mths. Yes, i bought the same to include in her milk last week but stopped after 4 days.

Mommies....sorry to interrupt but i hv this bugging worry which i really need ur advice.

How many hours do u allow ur bb to watch tv everyday? I hv been letting Jordan watch Playhouse Disney Channel literally everyday from 9am to 9pm..he even sleeps when the tv is on! Sometimes i will play Baby Bright and/or Brainy Baby and watch with him...Until my friend showed me this link and i'm getting very very vexed!

I don't let my baby watch tv. Sometimes she will watch a bit if we are watching, but I don't specially put her in front of the TV to watch children's programmes. I think she is too young to watch. I want her to learn how to play, not just passively sit and nuah in front of the TV. Sorry if other mummies are doing this, this is just my opinion.
 
izu, my boy sometimes cannot finish his milk.

rachel, i dun let my baby watch tv. he only watches a few mins when i carry him sitting on my lap.

yeah same here .. she watches cos she's on my lap but not really. She prefers me to play with or talk to her which I do while I am watching .. lol.
 
Hi mommies..thks for ur feedback...so when ur at home taking care of ur bb, u will not put him in front of the tv so u can hv some chores done? how do u manage to keep ur bb occupied when u cant be beside him/her?
 
rachel, when I was caring for Zach during my maternity leave, i onie get to do my chores when he is sleeping - that time i can onie get 30mins each time to do my chore so do halfway stop, attend to him..when he sleep, do my chore again..luckily tat time dun need to pump milk else i tink i would hv gone crazy.

Now Zach can play on his own in his cot! As long as he got his feet and beanie he is alright...so i can hv my breakfast in peace..after i give him his morn bath, i will go for my shower..while he play.. much more things can be done. At nite, hb will put him to sleep while i do the laundry etc.
 
Hi Kath...ur experience during mat leave sounds exactly like what i hv been going thru...everytime when i do my chores half way he will start screaming for attention...so whenever he is taking his nap i will rush to finish my chores (washing milk bottles, pumping, laundry etc like hell...so i thought letting him watch those 'educational' dvds like Brainy Baby will help...until today when i read the article...

Jordan is very interested in watching playhse disney..esp MickeyMouse Clubhse, Pooh and Animal Mechanicals..Mommies...any suggestions i can hv my chores done by keeping him by my side?

The reason why cereal is not recommended to be fed with milk in bottle is cos cereal is semi-solids. When feeding semi-solids to the bb using spoon, you are not oni introducing new textures n taste but also teaching them thru trial n error how to move the food from the front to their throat. Using a bottle defeats the purpose.

I tried to give her carrot puree for 2 days recently and her poo poo's got some orange stain. Is this normal? She doesn't seem to like rice cereals leh.

My baby has been taking Friso 1 since birth till now. so far so gd. In fact hor, the ppl fr Friso called me up to offer to send me a brand new regular tin of Friso 2 to try. Ha ha more than happy to get it. Its been delivered and sitting in my cupboard liao.

Any of u mummies got such offers? Mamil gold ppl also did the same. now waiting for their free mamil gold step 2 to be delivered to me.

inside my cupboard now got Friso 2 and similac 2 all free,now only waiting for mamil gold to "fall in". kaisu me jus wanna keep 1 of each in case friso 2 din work out. haha..
 
xuelyn, i also received FOC FMs... have given away friso 2 & similac 2. now mamil gold step 2 lying in my cabinet. anyone want mamil gold step 2 can let me know. and of course if anyone has enfapro stage 2 to give away can let me know too. hehe
