Suggest you see an LC also. Coz 1 production line is not normal. Usually means your other lines are blocked. If dun settle, in time may develop into mastitis.

Yup that's my niece! She's gotten sick more frequently since starting at IFC, and even though she has been breastfed for the longest time, her immunity seems quite low. Any time that there is a sniffly kid at ifc, she'll come home with the sniffles the next day...
we would like to have 3kids, preferably 2girls and 1boy, so we hope to have a boy next too! will try the chinese calendar method since it seems quite accurate. I hope not to end up with 3kids all of the same gender.

Like what Fifi says, each breast should have a few "sprays" at any one time... So if you oni got 1 spray/production line, then btr see an LC... If u dun wan to see LC, mayb u check ur breast see if lumpy... cos if lumpy means u already hv congested breast and yes u may get infection!

fabbie, is not cause u r stoopid.. u must remember, we took 4mths of maternity leave and hence did not work for that duration. Naturally we will need to pick up the speed at work.

Juz now pump at 1pm.. 15minutes onie, did the massage like what the LC taught me.. indeed got more productions and yield oso better.. yesterday same time onie got 100ml today got 150ml!!! Hopefully it stays the same later. Oh..i added extra pump session at 3am this morning, hoping to increase the milk ss. I m so zombied!!

I posted here before liaoz wor. Ok I repeat. To extend pumping interval without drop in SS, you have to stretch the interval bit by bit. Lets say you are doing 3 hrs now. Then you go to 3hrs 30mins. Do this interval till your body is adapted, i.e. your breasts dun become hard/too full when pumping time is due. Then move on to 4 hrs. Repeat till you get the interval you want. If you can, stretch only 15 mins a time better still.
Make sure you massage breasts + NIPPLE + AEROLA before and AFTER each pump/latch. Best is you roll your nipple and aerola to ensure milk can spray before and after each pump. Most pple dunno that you need to roll your nipples and aerola to prevent blocks.
When pumping, make sure your funnels are the correct fit. Your whole nipple and aerola should be within the center circular part. Your nipples also should NOT hit against the side of the funnel as the abrasion can lead to blisters.
When checking for blocks, dun juz press inwards. You may not feel the block nor pain. Kneed the sides... can feel de.

At 24 hrs clinic? Those are not LC. They are juz nurse managers wor. I find they can help you abit, esp if its middle of the night, etc but cannot really educate you on lactation issues. The LCs work weekdays office hours de. They see patients in a room near the women specialist clinics.

Hunted around and found a CHEAP one at this shop called Moms and Babes Lucky Baby brand for only $50 !! .. The panel has some buttons to push (there's music) .. I didn't want the one that can be used as a rocker cos I had one before .. seldom used that function.
Calista loves sitting in the walker .. she can't control where she moves to but it does move around and she is super happy that she is sitting up and moving around on her own.

I've been doing the massage frequently... And heng heng, I have been doing the time extension (bit by bit) part from 3hrs to 4hrs...
I check the number of production lines by rolling the areola before each pump. Ok, I think the oni thing I missed is massaging aft pump! And the funnels part, I rem u telling me before. Damn jia lat, I need to buy but Robinson dun seem to carry... :'(
Just to share, there was one morning i woke up and the breast was super hard on one side. I thot sure get infection, but apparently kneading the breast pretty hard while pumping does clear the lumps! And tat day I pumped 4hrly instead of 6hrly...

today.. i just skip from a 6hrs interval to a 8hrs interval as i wanna reduce my SS , to sleep more n just wan to give my girl enough. Daily , i pump out about 1200ml but my girl is drinking at about 800ml max. Soon she will start her solid n also need not so much milk already.
The only thing i afraid of is BLOCK... cos a sudden increase from 6hrs interval to 8 hrs intervals is ALOT...SIGH...But seriously, i m really tired but still wanna BF.

mine output drop after i go back to work. I pump 5 time, try going for 4 but the output drop especially at work, so i go back to 5 time.

Yes, they will need milk also.. but reduce in amount as some meals will be replaced by solid.
My girl is taking abt 180ml now at 5 feeds a day.
Perhaps she will be taking only 3-4 feeds a day after she start solid & perhaps max drinking 240ml of milk per feed.
240ml X 4 feeds = 960ml a day...as i m pumping 1200ml, i maybe able to reduce 1 session, to get more sleep n rest.
If SS drop alot, perhaps i can supplement her with my frozen EBM...or FM lor
Sigh.. BF seem to suck my energy off real much... i just try my best lor

Nowadays i also getting very tired of pumping. Sometimes pump until aerola tissue abit tear and bleed. And breasts felt itchy. Maybe allergic to Lanolin in Purelan. My breasts like shang heng lei lei like that. Haiz.. Dun feel like continue to pump liao. Thinking of stop breastfeeding totally when my gal is 6 mths old. So now i think is the best time i try to increase my pumping interval and dun empty my breast completely. I hope i won't get any lumps or blockage by doing so.

For my shoulder hair length, I paid $32 for my treatment. But I bought their hair shampoo ($14) and hair tonic ($22) which I have intention of buying. They are not pushy in their products.
They mostly deal with hair scalps problem, which I think may be the problem for me. My hairs had been feeling very oily.
The lady commented that I drop alot of hairs when she washing the hairs for me. She said probably I need 6 or 7 treatments to see effect. I hope so.
But after washing, she din dry my hairs as she apply hair tonic for me. I still drop 1 or 2 thread of hair when I brush through my hairs now. But it is certainly better than b4. I will see close to 5 thread of hairs whenever I brush my finger across my hairs. Hope this is a good sign. Also, even though I sweat now, I dun feel my hairs as oily as usual. Though I may have to spend close to $300 but I dun mind if it is working and it is still relatively much cheaper than Yunnan.
I am thinking of twice treatment in a week to see faster results though the lady recommend once a week treatment will do.

But after washing, she din dry my hairs as she apply hair tonic for me. I still drop 1 or 2 thread of hair when I brush through my hairs now. But it is certainly better than b4. I will see close to 5 thread of hairs whenever I brush my finger across my hairs. Hope this is a good sign. Also, even though I sweat now, I dun feel my hairs as oily as usual. Though I may have to spend close to $300 but I dun mind if it is working and it is still relatively much cheaper than Yunnan.
I am thinking of twice treatment in a week to see faster results though the lady recommend once a week treatment will do.
