(2008/12) December 2008 MTBs


Today brought my gal to TMC to take her 5 in 1, infact wanted to get pheumococcal but doc say jab her 5 in 1 to see how she manage first then next month then take pheumococcal & 5 in 1. I heard from pooh that pheumococcal is very very painful as the needle damn long. can anyone tell me or refresh my mind why baby has to take pheumococcal?? I feel like backing out not to take it leh. I scare i heart pain to see she jab with a long needle.

My gal today 3 months 3 days weighting 5.40kg height 60cm. I ask doc about the black patches behind her back he say is normal it may take a year to go off. He told me that my gal watery poo is normal for 1 day. as BM usually is quite watery lor. Asking why my gal drink so little he say grow big liao wont be drinking so much liao. and crying cus she see unfamiliar faces and she wants attention liao. must bring her out often so she's use to the environment lor. I ask him about my gal have wind? due to crying? he say nope. she's fine. ^__^

today my ger is acting wierd. Last night she cannot get to sleep. Today she oso cannot get to sleep... keep rubbing eyes, drop pacifer, wan pacifier but when I put it in she push it out... Then she wail suddenly while in her cot. Then she wail when she drink milk. Drink milk oso drink little (waste 2 oz of my milk each time).

Anyone can tell me what happen to her huh?
 
Snowger, over-stimulation? Sometimes David's also like that when he wake up for too long or play too much. Very tired but cannot sleep. During such time I can only nurse him to sleep.

By the way, can pm me your addy? My hb also coming along. Can I suggest a snack potluck? Or maybe buffet and we all chip in? So many people...

Haiz. Today me and hubby too tired. Never really stimulate her. I noe she is sleepy but she sleeps too lightly, keep waking up. Wonder if the back n forth from MIL's place to ours is taking a toll on her. Or she is wondering why she never see my MIL today? *double sigh*
 
Snowger, maybe she not used to sleeping in her cot, cause most of her time spent sleeping in your MIL's place?

Or maybe your MIL keeps carrying her, so she's used to being carried to sleep?

My David is also not his usual self after starting his "day care" at my MIL's place. Last time before I started work, his last feed at 11am, 12am can sleep until 5am in the morning. Now, he keeps waking up every 2, 3 hours for feeds at night. Been two weeks liao....and I'm super exhausted lor, cause daytime need to work mah. T_T Last week my MIL keeps carrying him, from sarong to her arms and then back to the sarong. Wah liao we had such a terrible time when we brought him back at night. This week we told MIL to try and place him on mattress to play. Slightly better...
 
Spag, i oni noe my MIL keeps talking to her (all the time except when she sleeping). Wonder if that will be overstimulation? But tat was yesterday leh... I dunno if she carried her to zzz cos I went out aft placing her there.
I feel like being a weekend parent. Damn tired... And I haven't started working yet... :'(
 
xian.. my ger already sleep thru the night.. this week.. some days woke up at 4am, 6am... usually till 7 or 8am one... Shack.. m i not feeding enough at her last feed of her day.. i give her abit more than her daily per feed...
 
hi can anyone tell me which supplement is good for breastfeeding? Im a totally noob in all these supplement and which is good or better.. im looking for everything is good for my gal. like brain ah.. health ah.. or whatever so which is good for her. anyone can intro? i wanted to go GNC and buy. cus i scare im not eating good enff. i hope to give my ger at least a standard quality for my breastmilk hehe. yours very good liao leh.. mine wake up at 3am. and just now 6am! faints.. so tired.. i think sometimes it may due to the aircon.. I guess only.

For supplements, I'm taking DHA (fish oil) and calcium, as prescribed by gynae. I'm also taking acidophilus (probiotics) which my mum bought for me. I'm also thinking of adding on a general multivitamin as well, like a prenatal multivit. Basically, the same kind of supplements that you were taking during your pregnancy, you can continue to take while bfg.

Did doctor say anything about your girl's weight? What is her percentile for age/weight? I'm worried cos I think my girl is small too...

Total angry with my baby this morning!! Make me can't sleep now coz I feel like I just did morning exercise.

1) 5.30am my breast leak..try to wake him to give him milk but he seem not hungry n so I went to pump.
2) 6am suddenly he cry so loud..super hungry..give him the bottle that I just pump..drank milk all in a shot..n then vomit all out on me
2)Wipe the floor, change both my clothes n his, feed him more milk n he suddenly let out a big shit bomb..till it leak out on my shorts n leg.
3)So wipe floor,change my shorts n while changing his diapers, he spray urine on my clothes!
4) Tot everything over, I finally get to go back to sleep by put him bk to sleep on my bed, he drool out milk onto his clothes n the bed. Faintz! End up have to clean n change his clothes again...HAAIZzz dunno how to withstand any longer..going crazy already
 
emeraldbride - the Calendula Cream, you use it for moisturising or any other purpose? what's difference between normal lotion to the Calendula Cream?

Spaghetti - u feed water each time baby wakes up or just in the morning? mine can wake up every half hr.

mayelynn - my baby is abt 65cm, i just measure him with measuring tape. i still find him too heavy. can't wait till 16 March for his check up.

iemik0 - u helping ur SIL to sell the bumbo or? i'm looking for bumbo with tray. but if ur bumbo no tray, but affordable. i can still buy to let baby try.

yah lor I think he realli like to bully me..spray urine n laugh somemore...then so awake after that ..dun want to sleep..keep yelling/talking aloud..give pacifier, he pluck out n suck fingers..I finally give up..so let him suck his fingers ba..

Aiyoo..wonder if I go to work should I let him sleep with maid..but I scared wait too close to maid..n also maid will be 24 hrs on duty taking care of him...no rest liao..dilemma..
 
fabbie, for brain development is Fish Oil that contains Omega3.
If u go GNC, ask for the prenatal vitamins..the one i sent u the link. Alr contain all the necessary vitamins needed liao.
 
Snowger, I also think about being a weekend parent sometimes, but I miss my baby so much. At night I want to latch him on leh, so he will still be close to me... heh...

Juzyounme, I give a few sips only when he wakes up. I make sure he doesn't take more than 3, 4 oz of water per day.

Juzyounme, i give water to my ger normally after she suck her pacificer for a long time... like she seems thirsty... but wont allow her to drink too much...

She is at week 12...She must be able to hold her neck for sometime to let her sit... But my ger will still " topple" after sometime.. so cannot sit too long too..

maria, thk it's coz of the scissors. the nails are quite sharp after I cut too, like need to file or somethg to smoothen the edges. My boy has been leaving marks on his face till I fed up put on mittens when he zz..

juz, i feed my boy quite alot of water actually. when he hiccups, in btw feeds, when he's awake. or when tryg to make him zz. realised he is less heaty n pee nt too yellow n smelly now. asked PD abt it, he says dun exceed 60ml a day still ok wor..

whole body aching.. thk fever bug coming again =(((

actually he not only suck fingers loud..he drink milk frm my breast also very loud, burp, fart all very loud...today afternoon I go to nursing room at my church..open concept..wah piang he suck n sigh so loud..so paisei...attract unneccesary attention lor..I feel he n his dad is one gang la..fart n burp all very loud..

avent BPA-free bottle,
Hi mummies, I tried this new bottle on him..the milk leaks out quite badly when I try to feed him with it. I think got a lot of ppl encounter the same prob when I search the website...
 
merydith,the current non-BPA avent bottle oso will leak one leh..usually when it starts to leak, i will open and close the bottle one more time. Now Zach is rejecting Avent liao..so shall stick with Pigeon.

Hehe, my son oso burp, fart very loud. During latch on he will suckle and fart at the same time..n he suckle oso very loud..

izit? Izit babies all same pattern? but I see the mother breastfeeding the child nxt to me very quiet one..no sound effect..randall also suck very loud n half way got the kenna choke sound like the flow too fast..then will sigh n suck aloud again

My gal did not POo poo yesterday. she use to poo poo at least once a day. have to monitor her to day.

hear tat too, but think will not shave my , coz my gal not much hair already.

Hahhaaha mine i wear the long sleeves it becomes smaller. then her tummy can see liao. so funny. take antibotics and let the lump to less swollen(i think) lor. that time got it before.. my gynea told me still can breast feed althouhg im on antibotics lor. maybe will try that. cus recently my body like so werid de.

Ya gal drinking what milk? if BM its okai. didnt poo 1 or 2 wks. mine sometimes like that 1week can everyday poo. another week can 4 days later poo 1 time.

My mil and auntie ask me to shave at 4months. my thinking is like yours too.. not much hair liao still shave.. anyway i didnt shave before my head also like that. but i hate when people compare saying people shaving grow so fast. but it wont affect to all the babies de. unless its comfirm will grow fast then i will shave HEHE
 
i will shave my bb's hair on his 4th mth provided that time still got hair left..hahaha. Nowadays his hair is dropping, mine too. Whole house hair everywhere
