ikeike, i know got one boy recovering frm cough in the IFC loh... but they can't keep him away cause he's recovering liao

mum2ndx,forgot to mention that my ger is drinking level 2 teats since 2 mos old, perhaps ur bt teats is too small?
 


mum2ndx, my gal took 4-5 mins to finish 130ml of milk. Using medium teat. If I latch her, she took 30 mins, thats y I prefer to bottle feed her with my ebm.

wah..all ur bb drink n latch so fast! My baby still using his small size teat. I changed to medium, all the milk flow out from his mouth..he cannot swallow in time. He will take abt 20minutes to finish 120ml of EBM or FM and if I latch, haha, need max 1hr!

u may wana try using diff n teats. tt time kayson use avent onli drink 30mls. den i change to nuk, he drink finish all. spent quite large sum change bottles n teats but at least he is drinking.

Today I was warming up EBM for baby. Smelt and realised that the milk smells like cheese wor. Is that normal?

I thought EBM can keep for 48 hours? Throw away the whole bottle of 150ml. So heartpain.
 
I also dunno leh. Smell like cheese means bad already izzit? Very heartpain. Just sniffed a 180ml bottle. It's smelling a little cheesy too.

I thought my fridge quite cold already.

so far my bb same as yours. mine also nuk, small teat. jus now feed him, up amt to 150ml, worst, 40min.... feed until me dozzing off man...mayb i should try med teat, or jus make the teat hole bigger myself.. hee..

not my girl la.. we went to Baby Fair today.. saw a booth by dphotofolio & saw this brochure. Immediately i thought of phylicia. haha.. So took the brochure home n snapped it with my camera.. no scanner at home..

bumbo seat: 3-18mths. nowadays jayzon like to push it around on my platform den when hapi hapi, plant his butt inside n get stuck. haha.
 
want to ask mummies here about starting baby on plain water. how do u all start? right after feed? is it after every feed? how much to give for a start and after that how much to give as an usual?

btw, can bumbo seat fits big baby? v scared it can't.

anyone's baby is already wearing L size diapers. Mine wearing M size is damn tight fit. :-(

my baby drinks 170ml (after FM added into 150ml) average about 15-20 mins.

your boy drinks alot leh. mine only starts drinking 120ml every 3hrs interval. that time when we went to his PD, his weight is 97 percentile, PD says if his weight continues to increase at this stage, he will be obese when he reaches 6mths. haha
 
Mimi - my baby is damn heavy. i think he is already obese now. at 28 days old, he was 4.6kg. now i don't know, his next checkup on 16 March then i will know. but i think he is at least 6.5kg and he is nearly exactly 2.5mths old.

yes, he drinks a lot. his day time intervals is abt 2-3hrs. but after 8.30pm-9.30pm feed, he will usually zzz, and wake up once between 3.30pm-5.00pm... after which will wake up again about 8am.

wow! my boy is 6.5kg when he is 3mths. u have difficulty carrying him?

later go buy straits times and kpo.

i give my boy abt 10ml of plain water after his bathe in the morning and evening.

Yesterday night and this early morning give my gal 120ml (usual),not enough for her. she want 150ml. increase over the night

Mimi - that means about 20ml per day. haiz, he is always too heavy for me to carry him. haha.

my bb usually will b wriggling afta napping for 1hr. beta don feed water immediately b4 or afta feeding. b4 feed den bb wun finish milk. afta feed, ltr drink too much vomit.
 
my boi at 8weeks is 6.5kg...not going to 12weeks have not weigh him....but have difficulties carrying him...but still must carry...especially when making him sleep....must sing,rock pat for near 1hr....after that my arm will ache.

my boi decrease his feedings...from 180ml to 120ml....since last week.

the baby fair actually not much things...went there yesterday and bought toys for him...actually wanted to buy babysafe bolster and pillow but that person said cannot keep for long..so in the end nv buy.

i wanna go the gathering...can anyone add my name on the list....going with baby only.
 
iemik0 - my baby make noise every half hr or so during his zzz, with eyes semi-open... just that i usually don't want to wake him up, just pat his buttock and try to make him zzz. i scare if i get him water, his eyes will be wide open again... then haiz...

i won't be going to the baby fair. it should be hard to find a place at expo to change diaper & feed.
 
I am so tired today..like never sleep! Dunno y baby is fussing so much last nite. Latched him at 12am till 1am..then he wakes up crying at 3am..I dun bother abt him and thought he will sleep after a while who knows he cry non-stop for an hour!! Such good stamina..haha. Then I cannot take it liao, went n change his diaper and latch him again.. n he onie suck for 15minutes then fall asleep. If i know he onie such for such short period, i would hv latched him at 3am! Then he fuss again at 5am..is as though I have not slept a wink.

Later bringing him to Hwa Xia @ Punggol Plaza for a swim..

2nd Baby, how many box of Lansinoh u need? Btw, what's ur bloggie addy? Can share?
 
mum2ndx, just now I got my hubby to taste the cheesy smelling milk (haha I dun dare to taste my own BM), he said doesn't taste sour. Taste sweeter than the HL milk. So I guess not spoilt. So happy... no need to pour the whole 180ml away liao. I normally try not to give baby milk that is older than 48 hours, but I think I've heard that the BM can keep for about 8 - 10 days if your chiller section is 0 - 4 degrees.

Juzyounme, I give my baby a few sips of water when he wakes up, and a small teaspoon of water after feed to clean his mouth.

emeraldbride, I'm thinking of bringing baby David down to Punggol Plaza for a swim later too! What time you going? Maybe we'll see each other! :p

the bumbo seat i saw at $20 was quite some time ago. and there were quite alot of pple selling at $20.. that was in Jan or early feb.
Anyway i think BUmbo cant sit for very long because hor the seat is v small.. if baby got big backside then jialat liao.. heh..
 
if baby is heavy, have to see the baby's length too.. as long as "got the height" then heavy is ok.. that's what my pd says lah.

u have to see his height against weight percentile..
my boy was like yours. he was 4.7kg at 1 mth and 6.5 at 2.5weeks.. but he is 60cm long so the percentile i think is 75% pd says its ok ahha..

brought Daniell to PD this morning, was told he has eczema... very xian, both my son also kena eczema, hope this thing will go off very soon... PD also advised me tat best start solid after 6mths, not earlier before that :-(

i feel so useless.....sad!!!i just help my son to cut his nails and accidentally cut his finger...so heartpain!!!!but luckily he got over it quite fast and was smiling...i applied Zambak and put on plaster...

scared...think i wont cut his fingernails already!!!
