so frustrated.Purposely drive to Giant juz now to buy Pampers for Zach. Found Pampers Premium and during checkout, they told me the bar code is not activated and ask me to buy other brands. I end up buying Huggies Ultra at M size.. if this one leak again.. i will ban Huggies forever liao..haha

The scopp for Friso is a lot smaller then Similac thats why need so many scoop. Similac scoop is the biggest that I've encounter so far. Now I have 2 tins of Friso Gold 1, one 3/4 tin of Friso Gold 1 that was only open on last Monday and 1 tin of Friso Gold 2 on my shelf. Thinking of letting go at a lower price since I've now switched to Similac. Any interest?

Infant Care
My little Bryan attended his 1st infant care session today and I'm so proud of him to be able to adapt to the centre so well. So far, he was the only baby in the infant section that didn't cry and was laughing and playing with the teachers! Felt so sad this morning that I've to sent him there so soon and also the fact that I'll be back to work, really going to miss him :s I hope he will still be as jolly for tmr half day session

Adel, how long does Bryan needs to attend 1/2 day session before the full session?
Little Skool House recommends abt 1 week of 1/2 day session for Zach to be familiar with the environment.
 
Cheap milk powder -
Just to share, there's a shop at Ang Mo Kio Ave 10, Blk 407 selling cheap milk powder. Just got my NAN 1 at $30.80 ($2 cheaper than NTUC)

The shop name is called Ang Mo Supermarket (It's facing the main road). Think they have branches elsewhere also...

my #1 also has running nose when im doiing confinement, now still on n off. worst part is he love didi so much that he love to put his face really near him.. scared man...

hihi, no mummies here taking full 16weeks? seems like many of you gg back to work already..

wanna ask if any of ur bb has eye discharge? my boy has quite a bit for his right eye only from birth till now. it got slightly better after i massage the eye area (to reduce poss of blocked tear duct) but still have leh.. any advice? my MIL went to clean it with crysanthem water =S old wives thingy...

For Bryan, we only need 3 days of 1/2day sessions. After that we are not allowed to enter the infant care due the the current HFM issues. Currently they only allow parents of new baby to go into the centre.

We spent full half day in the centre today and so far, I'm really pleased with their management of the infants and toddlers there.

I've got the letter abt 5 weeks later after I posted it out. Take longer than normal I think, usually should b 3 weeks bah, gues coz of CNY and alot of Dec'08 bbs...

oh dear, i need the letter to apply for CDA, then use the CDA to pay cordlife...jia lat liao. i overlook and just sent last week. my boi turning 2 months on the 15th. they told me i have 2 months to apply CDA, after which they wil charge it to my card... think have to call them to hold liao..

ur boy same as my boy, luv his didi so much & always like to put his face very near to his didi, worst thing is he juz recovered from virus attack, but now still having cough / runny nose on & off, very headache...

my ss also dropped coz very lazy to get up at nite to pump nowadays, sometimes i will juz leave it more than 6-7hrs never pump so my breast slowly dun feel full liao... but i hack care laa... so long as i still latch on mean my supply will be still there...

my boy also has eye discharge but on his right eye only, i massage liao also same, no improvement yet...
 
ok, thks, seems common among babies then. my PD did gave some eyedrops, for cases of eye infection whereby got alot of yellow or green discharge. It's some antiobiotics n need to be administered over 5 days. Have been holding back since I dont think it's that bad yet.. hopefully it will improve.

Fabbie, I start work on 16mar too! too long never work liao makes it damn sian to go back.. but now at home i also feel very auntie, everyday do same thing like laundry, ironing, wash/sterilise baby's bottles etc.. keke

Im only taking 3mths and during this time my boss keep pressuring me to run my sales. wah piang cannot tahan. i have been working from home everyday and kena stress by him on and off leh.

Feel so stressed lor. In fact i think i will enjoy being a sahm. hee..... dont look forward to going back to work.
 
mayelynn, coz u do sales mah, ur boss depends on u to bring in the $. me in govt job, so boss no choice.. keke. my hubby dun allow me to be sahm ah, scared become yellow face.. heng i dun really wanna be a sahm too, cant cook for nuts.. dunno how man when my boy starts on solids =P

mayelynn - was wondering the hot water which hotel is offering.. will it be mineral water & they boil it... scared lah... sterilization tablet is a gd idea.

ypg - anyway, confirmed liao... similac scoop is twice size of friso. my insurance agent came & she used similac & i show her friso scoop. she commented that similac is still more x than friso overall.

fabbie - next fri or sat i should be fine too... keep me updated.

So 1 tin of Friso make the same volume of milk as 1 tin of Similac. But no choice. My daughter still ok with Similac so got to continue with the $10 per tin difference. My daughter starting solid food soon so I guess the cost of FM that I will pay will be lower so it still managable.

But hor, I change to Mamy Poko instead of Dryper now. So cost of diaper increase but to save my daughter's buttock, bo bian lor. Now NTUC still got promotion for Mamy Poko till end Feb. So mummy who use Mamy Poko can go buy.

Motherhood fair coming up right? At expo? How about the Taka Baby Fair? Anyone got info on that?

At 1st, I very eager to go back work but hor now everyday at work, miss my daughter so much. Dilemma!! Want to give remedial to weak students but also want to go back early to see my daughter. Dilemma!!! Haizzz

Me the same, can only take 12 weeks of leave, me in sales oso, boss have been calling me every now and then ever since I'm on leave. Sometimes so fed up oso, cannot rest. Wat to do, we in sales mah. Wonder can use up my last 4 weeks of ML within a year anot...very lugi if cannot.

So sianz hor...my boss practically call me everyday after my confinement and asked me to go back to work earlier. I'm so tempted to tell him off, mine is C-section leh and haven train my maid to take care of my gal u noe. And how the company want to compensate me oso nvr says..so piss off men. No choice I told him that I cannot go back to work earlier and will only go back 12 weeks later as planned.

i also took 4 mth ML. Now headache cos my 1st boy cant wake up on time to go school. End up my MIL say when i go back work she dunno how to bring my boy to school with my 2nd baby ard. Dunno wat to do.
 
I oso taking 3months but my colleague advised me to take all at one go cos will be difficult to apply for leave this year (4colleagues left since Oct) and now left a few of us to hold the fort. Thinking of going back also sian..was telling my hb that i wanna be SAHM and mabbe do some home based work but dunno what can i do.. sigh

Now Zach is 2mths today, he is full of surprises.. he gurgles alot, smile alot, learning how to flip, trying to lift his head up, wanting to be carried and sayang.. ahhh... i will miss all these

cindy..i am also taking 4mths straight...going back to work on mar 9..soon.wish to be sahm...but economy bad...hubby pay not enough to be the only breadwinner..

if give birth to twins...the baby bonus is counted as 2 or only 1??what about the maternity leave??haha

my boy go school depends on mood one. If he ok then will be easy loh. But if he throw temper ans wan my MIL to carry how to carry 2 kids rite? As for raining, my hse to the cc is all sheltered just that need to walk longer route thats all. As long as my 1st boy coperate then shouldnt be a problem. If he dun then very headache.

I am going back to work on the 31 mar.
 
fabbie, same here..i also v scared i forgot where is my shortcut...luckily i bring my laptop back n at times my coverer call me..i will still stone a while where is the file..

Jowin: same here, my coverer call me to ask me how how abt some outage..during my breastfeeding time..engorgement time...nearly want to box him..

Cindy: i am also gog back on 16 march..but i took 14 weeks instead..but i guess i will need to clear leave also..as my hr policy want us to clear 50% of our last yr carried over leave..by 31 mar..sian liao..i tot i can on off take a bit of leave to stay at home w my boi..at least i will work n not so nua n can see my boi..n plan all change..

I asked my HB if i go back n work n cannot tolerate that lady boss, i wanna quit and tentatively become SAHM.. the most spend lesser. I dun anyhow spree n buy things .. kekeke

I am from sept mummies.. judging from your discussion, seem like many of your babies who went on FM had either constipation or become hard to burpie..

Just a suggestion, my girl have been on friso comfort since 8 weeks due to colic and me too tried enfalac, similac, nan, normal friso- don't work.. until i started friso comfort.. poops twice a day, colic and regurgitation went down.. now she is almost 6 months, taking semi solids, poops 3 times a day and still on friso comfort..

i'm using mamex gold step 1, if u wan to giv it a try i can pass it to u but left only 1/4 tin (of 400g) coz my boy rejects FM...

my elder has been taking Mamil gold since birth until now 4YO, but actually at 1st we gav similar but he got constipation very easily so later we switched to mamil gold, so he taking until now... so far so good

yup emeraldbride, how long is it before can collect ur boy's passport? I want to apply for mine as well..cos intend to go holiday leh..

BTW anyone brought/ going to bring BB for holiday..i koe there's alot of ppl who will say bb to young to travel, but i also hear that the younger the bb, the easier to travel..Eg like now if i bring bb for holiday, his only food is milk. when older & on semisolids, i still need to prepare his semisolids food rite....??
 
yeah when our babies get so cute n keep wanting to play.. just cannot bear to go to work le.

now where ever im in sight, baby's eyes will follow where ever i walk .. and makes the ek ek ek sound..

babies are reall so cute.

fabbie im also like u. i tot i cannot stand taking care of my boy but then during these 2 months i realise i really enjoy and derive satisfaction from it!
 
wah jowin, ur boss super mean, if me I sure suan him back one.. keke.. i was thinking of only taking 12weeks initially, but my colleagues say take 16weeks st better coz wont have time to finish clearing one. Anyway. projects all slowing down now due to bad economy, there's lesser work load so not too bad to clear now

yeap pastillies, my frens also told me that it's easier to bring bb now coz only need milk. later will have prob finding food for baby, need to bring pot etc to cook for them. Where are u gg for holi? I hope to plan a short trip before I rtn to work too, been a yr plus since we go anywhere!

i hv to work fr hm. in fact during labour my assistant called to ask which hospital im in n wat ward so she can courier docs to labour ward to let me sign.. my husband so angry.. swicth off my phn.

mi taking all 16wks. gg to start work on 10th mar. can foresee tt its gonna be buzi as we opening new clinics. now tinking of calling my manager n tell her tt i wan cancel n take 12 or 13 wks. so i can kip some for my boi for 'in case'.
 
Hi hi.. passport onie take 3 business day to process so less than a week can collect ler.. best of all, u can make appt online to collect the passport and the waiting time to collect is practically 0!! Yeap, me n hb were really impressed when we went to collect the passport, the moment we scan the collection card to get a queue number, they call our number immediately!
Maybe i shuld oso extend my maternity leave to another 2 more weeks..let me go calculate calculate first..hehe

Geezz... these pple are really thoughtless. Afterall, we are contributing to the society for replacement rate and most likely for his too!!!

Funnily, I once had a supervisor who told me to look after yourself and family first. The company wouldn't look after you once something happens. So dun worry about work so much!! Cool boss!

BTW.. I have NAN and the scoop is 2cm diameter but the depth is about 2.5cm. So it is smaller than similac.
