ya...i am plannin to get another this year..dont want the siblings jap to be far apart.

i will be going back to work on mar9...if i find out that i am pregnant again...will i be retrenched?how many mths must i be before the company cannot fire me?cos cant afford to conceive and go fired...

My boy has been taken mamex gold step 1 since birth until 7 weeks, so far is ok and can poop 2 days once. I just swithched to Firso gold due to low in cost before CNY, now having constipation problem(no poop for 4 days in 1st week and this week coming to day 5 still no poop, going to bring him see doctor soon). Now I decided switched back to mamex gold.

ya infant also must pay. the prices varies fm airlines...Eg SQ is abt $100+, Quantas abt 30%-40% of adult price, Jetstar (eg to perth) is $50 per trip (so SQ more worth it)..
Cathy doesnt hv the infant option on their online booking so gotto call n check which i havent done so...

Cindy, initally i also tot of the option of getting a maid, but after weighing the pros n cons , I decided for infant care....

ya lor precisely i tot infant no need to pay for airfare so planning to travel..but dunno since when infant also must pay for airfare (& yesh! they dun even get a seat!!!)

E 1st 2 mths is calender mths, the remaining 2 mths is counted as 40 working days (i.e 20 working days/mth)



Yesterday trying to get my boy to focus on the camera to get a proper pic of him for his passport!.so hard..he keep turning here & looking there like i'm playing with him..

These days my bb timing a bit topsy turvy / haywire..he sleeps quite well in day (on our bed)..but at nite he keeps waking up (he sleeps in his own cot at nite)...I woke up at least 10 times to carry n patpat him to sleep..super zombie now.. HB thinks I have let him sleep too much in daytime such tt bb nitetime dun wan to sleep...then how, he want to sleep i dun let him meh??!

ML dun count in calender mths. it actually count in 16wks 112days. It include sat and sun and PH. If u g back early it by working days loh.

my baby at 1st was on Enfalac A+ during the nite feed and he poo once per day. After that i change to friso gold and he have constipation also. And didnt poo for few days. Bring him to PD and pd suggest to give similac cos it use plam oil. Now dunno wan to give similac or Elfalac. Similac now is the most ex infant fm at $39.50 per tin selling at NTUC lei..siong. Lucky only give him Fm during nite feed so only once or twice per day. If not siong lei.

i think.. its 4 or 6 mths and abv then cannot retrench. not say cannot retrench la but if they do they have to pay you salary through your pregnancy and the 16 weeks after that.

my baby response to his bro most. Every time when his bro call him he will turn towards his bro. When his bro sing song he will smile lei. So cute. I going to hongkong for 5days i think i will miss my baby badly.

Haven't come online for quite a while..

My little Lisa is now having more expressions.. sometimes can laugh at nothing too.. so cute.. really dun want to go back to work.. sigh.. I took 3 months leave then the last month will use whenever I need to...I am really lucky that I have my mom to look after

Lisa has also finally adapted to sleeping the whole nite from 12 all the way to 6-8am... varies.. so now am getting enough sleep... yeah!!

recently on the newspaper, they talk about having another kid too soon.. they say not very good leh.. should at least wait a year before trying again.. i understand u want the gap to be small.. but 2 years age gap also not too bad.. at least give ur body time to recover from the first.. they said not good for both bb and mother.. unless accident happen then bo bian...

u took zach on the plane?? how did he cope with the cabin pressure?? I am thinking of going for a holiday.. not too soon... either sept or oct to jap, aussie or NZ... so Lisa should be about 9-10 mths...want to go for hols before hubby start his hospital work again.. sigh...

if whole family going for holiday mean my hubby & i hav to bring my 4YO boy & my baby as well, which is quite impossible lor, how to handle them in overseas esp my elder boy super fussy one, if he wan to sleep mean must let him sleep immediately else he will cry... if go sight-seeing then very shiong to carry a 17kg boy around ler... so hubby said not possible, so got to wait both of them grow up & go to school... sigh! furthermore now eco is so bad & hubby already on pay cut so dun even tot for a short trip... now so regret to quit my job, how i wish i can go back to work now, being a SAHM is so boring!!!

btw, my boy daytime sleep timing also haywire, but if he dun sleep or sleep very little in daytime doesn't mean he will sleep more in nitetime lor, so i rather to let him sleep (if he wan) in daytime so i got time to do my own stuff... & if baby really wan to sleep i oso cannot stop him else he will cry & cry...

regarding baby's passport photo... last time my elder's passport photo was taken in the studio, tat time he was 6wks old only so we got to support his neck so tat his head can stay upright, & in the end our hand actually 'appeared' in his photo... hehe!

i also brought my boy to hwa xia swimming but he fell asleep in the water tub, no matter how we try to wake him up he also boh chap, so in the end we got to take him out from the tub after 5mins then go home...

wow ur gal starts to sleep thru already? so good!! but r u still on total latch on? my boy still wake up 2-3hrs at nite, very tiring! think i'm going to start training him next week, by giving him WATER ONLY at nite, dunno will it work or not but i also wan to giv it a try...

i brought my elder son on the plane when he was only 6wks old, quite a smooth journey juz to make sure to let him suck on something (drink water or BF her) during take off & landing to reduce ear block...

those who sent baby swimming, did u all sign up the package or trial?

because i emailed them the day before to see if got free trial. But the people replied and said trial is $28, pkg is 10 lessons 196.

u think can trial and if baby likes it sign pkg and pay 196 but if baby dont like then pay 28?

i scared he cry because when i bathe him he always give me stunned look.

We do not think its worth paying $28 especially my baby only interested to play in the tub for 5mins. After 5 mins.. she gave me a bored look and wanna me to carry her out.. So we did not sign the package.

Yeah.. I must say I'm lucky... I didn't actively try to make her sleep the whole nite... Yes, I'm still on total latch-on...but she will usually cluster feed at nite between 9pm-12midnite.. Almost every hour she'll feed.. I guess it is her way of getting enough milk so that she too can sleep the whole nite.. hehehe...

I guess no harm trying the water method... but must make sure at least the last feed is substantial bah...

wah 6 wks on the plane already... I just worry that my girl will cry alot and disturb other passengers.. very paiseh...

ivy, we r also planning another kid soon, but i wanted to let my ger drink BM for at least 6mths, plus not too gd to have another bb too soon, cause ur body have not recuperated. i got a col. who got pregnant within 6 mth of her 1st bb, the 2nd one was pre-mature, thus she advise not to have a 2nd one too soon.

luthadel, my ger oso attending NTUC infantcare, today is her 2nd full day already. miss her so much yesterday afternn that i went early to pick her up. we r very lucky as in sembawang whr we stay, we've got 3 infantcare ctr all within walking distance. in the end, i still chose NTUC cause they r really quited gd & affordable...

i also cluster feed my boy in late evening coz he always fuss & wanted to be fed normally from 6pm-9pm, but this also doesn't make him full & sleep longer ler... last 2 nites very jialat, he woke up at 1am+, 3am+, 5am+, 7am+ and i was so angry & pimples start to pop out coz really dun hac good sleep since giv birth... haiz!

My girl born on 4 Dec 08. Advice needed.. Can 2 month old baby take honey and pearl powder? I total breastfeed my girl but she only poo 1 in every 3 days, this 2 weeks only poo 1 in every 5 or 6 days, getting worry thought of giving honey. Any other advice?

it's not advisable to giv honey to baby below 12 mths as it may lead to botulism poisoning.

my boy used to poo at least 2-3times a day but since last week he did not poo for 4 days & i brought him to PD to insert enema, however my PD said it's quite normal for breastfed baby not to poo up to 1 week wor... juz monitor them, if they does not fuss/cranky or refuse to drink milk or drink lesser then they should be alright...

Thanks.. Actually I tried by eating a lots of fruits, but only work for last week. Today 5th day liao and yesterday I tried taking fruit again but till now she still didnt poo. Sigh..

Think shall wait for another 1 or 2 days before bringing her to doc..
 
gerry, jes, i tried feeding Zach with water last nite to see if he can try not to wake up for milk but heartache to see him cry when he was fed water.. so no choice, i gave him pacifier which last him for 1hour onie..he finally woke up at 2am for milk.. then slept 5hrs straight till 7am.. i guess that is consider good liao bah..cannot ask for more!

Zach took flight from SG to KL on his 7th week and he was sleeping through out the journey. During take off and landing i latch him on..he seems ok leh.. hehehe. He will have many flying trips in near future cos i go back to my hometown almost every mth..

My maid said she's quite sure Sir will notice the change in colour if I just go ahead and change strollers without him knowing ... hahahha.

Hey, for the swimming ... how much is it per session, if u don't mind me asking. I am hesitant to buy the float and the tank .... I'd rather just take Calista to that swim place ...

If I recall correctly, the per session fee at Hua Xia is $28 but if you take the package it is a lot cheaper. I like the outlet at Habourfront, not to crowded the the lady there seems pretty nice

Stroller
The Quest Sport is such a breeze to operate and I can handle it on my own. hahaa I need to learn how to take the escalator with the stroller, yesterday I dun even know when to step onto the escalator and in the end hubby got to do it! hahaha if I dun get that, I can't bring him out shopping on my own!

Quite ex I think .. just for baby to splash around in the water - what if baby just wants to swim for 5 mins or so? die la .. $28 down the drain ... I think I'll wait till she's bigger than just take her to my pool downstairs la ...
 
Ya, the Quest is super easy to handle ...
eh, it's easy to go down the escalator with the pram la ! ..
Even my maid can do it ...

The trick is to NOT do it backwards like I see some ppl doing ... just push the stroller in front of you onto the escalator and keep the 2 back wheels on the escalator while you keep the 2 fronts wheels in the air and keep the stroller level. same thing going down ...

Practise lots ... so that even when Bryan is heavier you can stil manage

i juz bought techno xt last mth from baby hyperstore at kaki bukit, retail price is $568 but i paid $388 coz i got 07 model instead, cheaper mah... if 08 model got to pay additional $100 buck bah... and i luv xt very much, very easy to use, fully recline & bigger canopy...

Wah.. U must be really frustrated and tired... I'm sure it will improve in time... I usually talk to Lisa quietly prior to putting her to bed... like goodnite.. dim the lights... so she'll know that it is time to sleep... some nites she can actually put herself to sleep without me carrying her.. but most nites I will carry her till she falls asleep... I have tried giving her EBM thinking if I fill her up, she'll sleep longer.. but she actually wakes up!! Somehow I think giving her the breast comforts her more and makes her sleep better...

U can try giving her more water.. I really dun think that by u eating more fruits and veggie will help ur bb pass motion.. It will help u.. Fibre is not digested by the body so will not be absorbed...

it heavier than quest... think 1kg more bah, but compared to capella S705 tat i used to hav, which is 8.5kg, this techno xt definitely so much lighter liao.. as for whether is it too heavy to carry on bus? it depends lor, i havent tried b4 but my gal fren used to do tat... if weight really ur concern then go for lighter one bah!

yes i did wat you did too, goodnite, dim light, turn on soothing music for him but if too early (before 9 or 10pm) he won't be able to go into deep sleep, he tends to wake up very easily... for nite feeding, i usually latch on coz too tired, last time used to feed him EBM tot can last longer but not much different, i even try to giv him FM at nite too, but he still wake up 2-3hrs so i now giv up giving him FM liao, so continue to go on TBF... for pacifier, i tried to giv him before but he totally reject... so basically nothing much i can do now, juz to wait for miracle to happen...

Aish.. Zach dun wanna sleep again!! Was awake since 5plus till now.. When he wanna fall asleep, i walk away, he will wake up n cry.. the moment i walk in the room, he will keep quiet. Like tat, i cannot do anything..can't even go down n spend time wif family hv to coop myself in my room..haha

Such a long wait for 5 days, finally my boy poo poo before bring him for doctor. Hopefully switched back to Mamex gold can resolve the constipation problem.

Is your boy have poo evryday after taken similac? I only manage to give my boy EBM twice perday due to insufficient supply and the least gives FM.

my ger vaccination pkg i had it done at KKH - Private Children Clinic..The vaccination pkg cost $450 (incl consultation)..then i added rotavirus (total 2 syrup) each at $90+, then plus pheumococcal jet (total 4 jets) each at $150..hope tis help..

luvudeepdeep is right ... the XT is heavier thanthe Quest ... whether you can manage to carry it up the bus really depends on you .. there is actually no need for full incline once baby is past 3 months .. and the full canopy while nice .. well, if you're mostly in malls, then no point ...

Anyone interested to get my Hua Xia baby swimming card for 3 swims? My daughter enjoy baby swimming so much that my mum insist us getting a swimming pool. I got no time to bring her out swimming all the time. Haha...

I bought the 5 sessions at $112 ($22.40 per session). I am letting it go at $50, only $16 per session. At first want to give it free to anyone who is interested but hor now got to pay alot for power supply water fee so thought of getting some $ back. Hehe... PM me if you are interested.

To me, I think swimming is really good for baby. It helps in developing their motor skills. Baby are natural swimmer as they swim in our womb for close to 10 months b4 they come to this world.

i havent start my boy on similac lei. Now he still dun poo. now like 2x a day and is not much. Will change his fm soon. Funny cos he only take 1 or 2x fm during the nite will cause so much diff meh? Most of the time he is on EBM.

i do find that my boy vomit milk more often after taking friso dunno is it after taking that he have more wind in his stomach.

Initially I was also looking at XT techno but wehn I think about the fact that Bryan is already 2mth + and in no time he will be able to sit up, I decided to get the Quest Sport which is a lot lighter and cheaper. Bryan is now 3 days away from being 3mths old and he already enjoys being able to kinda sit and look at things around him

i oso hav pupsik pouch but i dun really find it comfortable for my boy... think it restricts his movement coz he always eh eh eh and like to struggle while inside... i oso hav baby carrier but always hav backache when using it, so i still prefer stroller... hehe!
