wah 3 days ar? dunno why i got the impression of 1 day ler, then not able to go back to m'sia next monday liao (before chap goh meh - 15th of CNY)... btw u submit online rite? then how u took ur boy's photo urself?

Jes, I called ICA wrt the photo just ydae. They say if submitting online, can take the photo urself. must show all baby's features ie face front and background must be white. photo size must be according to the file size they stated online..
 
jes, i took the photo using normal digital camera and then resize according to the site and then submit online. If u submit online got $10 discount..hahah onie $70.
U submit today then prob u can collect on Monday itself? What time is ur flight on Monday?

i havent booked my flight coz suddenly feel like going back this morning, think not able to go back on Monday laa coz if i go back i will take morning or afternoon flt, scared later not ready for collection on monday ler coz sat half day only...
 
ya lor my asst very weird one. i think she nv think properly before she do things..

But she's kind la.. when i checked my emails after labour, she sent an email to collect angbao from my colleagues but then she actually included me in the email.. feel so awkward, like she asking me to bao angpao for myself ahhahaha

Hmm.. I remember I submit his application on Wed then ready on Saturday but I collect on Monday. U go back on Tuesday lor..

hee ya lor..it's been 1 yr since i last travel..cancelled 2 trips during my pregnany.so strictly speaking havent gone for holiday since i was pregnant..
i'm looking at Australia / japan. Sort of the more clean & bb friendly places. but hor Jap Yen went up so high...& australia i scare the flight hrs too long...
I tot infant traveling is FOC leh, till i check out the online booking..huh, must pay for infant one..

Also bcos my HR policy also change so i cant bring fowrard all my this yr's leave to nx yr le..so i got to clear part of this yr + my last yr's leave..then unfinish Maternity leave & still gt 6 days childcare leave rite!
& towards yr-end also "jam"..everyone wants to take leave..so clear a bit more now might be good..
 
i wrote in to HR.. GM said might as well finished up the 4 months then return... YEAH!!! I dun need to go back upon 3 months liao.. more time with my baby and she can drink more of my BM...

Lucky u, if i tell my boss I want to extend, surely I will kena the boot..I've still have many days of leave being brought forward last yr + this yr + 6 days child care leave + 4 weeks ML, jialat how to clear..

Jo, ur GM suddenly so nice..hahaha, even if u go back to work, ur bb can still drink ur BM mah... u will continue pumping rite??

I now prolong my pumping time to 5hrs once so essentially i onie pump like once a day..hahaha (lazy mom)!

I will continue to pump if i can if i go back to work.. cos i m running events and there is not fix time for me to pump... so i wish i can give baby as long as i can and try to store EBM as much as i can.. so tat when i return to work she still able to drink EBM..

I m also on 5 hoursly pumping now...

reddates, me too.. i have balance leaves from last yr to bring forward, 18days of leaves for 2009 + 6 days childcare leaves. If i gonna add in Maternity leaves.. surely hard to clear.. especially i will be real busy at work...Wasted to forfeit the ML in the end.
 
wah so many mummies plan to go holiday... for me i think i can only go holiday while both my kids grow up, so in another words i cant go anywhere (except M'sia) for next few years liao... sigh!
 
me took 3.5mths of ML, left 10 days as flexi. actually my superior wanted me to take 4mths but i dun wan. i only have 5.5 days of 08 annual leave to clear. so 10 days ML + 5.5 days 08 annual leave + 6 days childcare leave + 14 days MC (keke...)

jappooh, i am going to HK on 11 feb but not bringing my boy there, i feel that he is too small to travel, so my mum will be looking after him.

For remaining 4 weeks of leave counted as 4 weeks(28 days) or as nos of working days per week? Like 5.5 days x 4 weeks is it?
 
so good , holiday.. i wonder how to go when we need to pump milk every 5 hrly and how to bring the milk back...N wonder if my mum can help me look after 24hrs anot.. very tiring on her..
 
mayelynn, when my baby travelled few weeks ago via Japan Airline to KL, his fare was $38..we oso ask the same question, i m carrying the infant, he is not taking a seat, how come must pay? They said is for tax and insurance..consider cheap liao lor JAL, Jetstar flat rate of $50 leh..

I will need to make a call to the infant care to ask when can i send Zach over..then need to tell my boss when i intend to go back.. wonder will i cry when i send him to infant care.. sigh

jowin, if u got already got EBM stored up, then can pump n throw away while on holi lor like what my frens do. baby can drink the EBM while u are away. wasteful lah, but at least can go out have some time to urself n hubby.. hiy, if only I have this "problem" to worry!
 
For those who got the goodies bag from similac, the yellow color cooler bag is good, wat I do is put a pack of ice inside den my EBM , the ice only melt a little after 6-8 hrs. Usually I will pump up the milk den store in the`cooler bag, let my gal drink the "older" EBM first

oh so bb pays for the tax n insurance la.. wow.. didnt know that.

i actually wanted to send bb to infantcare too. but then when i was surfing online for infant cares i actually cried because i cannot imagine myself taking him there and passing to a stranger. so end up hiring a maid. now i kind of regret coz i feel infant care will do a better job. dont worry just tell urself Zach is in good hands!

Just a thought i had the other day: if i let maid take care of my boy and something happens, i cannot do anything. but if at infant care something happens at least they will be responsible and can sue them. So they definitely will do a better job.

so i kind of regret the maid decision but too bad maid already paid for, cannot send her back til 9 mths later. of course Choy! touchwood! hope nothing happens la!

last time we wan to bring my boy for holiday my MIl keep saying he is too young. Now with the arrival of the 2nd baby she dun object us for bring my #1 already. my No #1 turn 3 yrs old yesterday.

U going hongkong in 11 feb har.. Go for how many days? Which airline are u taking?

yes. i do have stored EBM. my worry is can my mum look after her for 24hrs.. she gonna be very tired. Nowadays, i look after my baby myself at nite.. so tat mum can rest well..

heartpain to throw away the milk la.. but sometimes i do really need a good rest too n i felt that i m neglecting my HB alot...

I tink go for short trip wif baby is okay. Intend to make a short trip when baby turns 5months and above. Easier to carry as well..hehe

Next year making a trip to australia..by then he will understand alot of stuff liao..me n hb say no matter whr we go, baby will follow us..hehe which means I cannot go mountain climbing liao..
 
jappooh, i will be taking tiger airways. that time when we booked the tickets i think is only 1 cent but got to pay for airport tax. i will be going for 5 days, guess i will miss my boy.

I'm so excited to share. My boy is really doing very well in the infant care and the best thing is that there will be a new infant care centre at Jurong Point opening in April! I've just put my boy up for transfer to the new centre which is so much more convenient for us! Now NTUC Infant care is known as My First Skool

Yesterday we took Bryan to Mothercaer at HarbourFront and finally bougth the Maclaren Quest Sport stroller. We immediately used it to wheel him around. Theraafter, we let him try out the baby swimming at Hua Xia and our little boy had a ball of his time kicking away in the pool! hahaha, it was a really cute sight and we've put up a video clip on our blog http://www.theevolvingbean.blogspot.com/
 
yesterday gave Zach 120ml of FM and after drinking he fusses till 2am! U tink it is cos he dun hv enuf?? 120ml of water to 1 scoop of milk powder is too diluted?? Mabbe he dun feel full hor.. but his stool change color to darker yellow liao leh and he dun poo so often as previous when he is on full BM

emeraldbride, 1 scoop of milk powder too diluted lah.. originally shd put 4 scoops, nw only 1/4 leh.. confirm not full! hee, there was once I shortchanged my boy 10ml of milk nia.. he cried non-stop lor, then gotta make again to feed him. hubby's theory: ladies shdnt nip/share guy's food, coz super unsatisfied even with one small portion missing =S
 
Any mummies drink DOM while breastfeeding?

LuthAdel, I want to try Hua Xia too. Just wondering is the water clean and hygenic enough since the baby may poo or pee while swimming?? Do they change the water if baby poo or pee so that baby can continue??

When i went to Hwa Xia, the water are all ready in the tub.. i felt the water and its a little warm.. not too cold.. so i thought its ok. But i m not sure its a new tub of water. I went home and bathe my little girl again. I also brought my own towel as Hwa Xia did not provide me one ..
