Recently, Lucas refused to sit on his highchair for meals. He simply turn away and refuse even the first spoon. I'm not too sure whether issit becos there is no highchair at my mum's place and he is roaming ard, playing with toys and my mum going ard and feed him or he is becoming more naught and jus refuse to sit on his highchair at home. At home, I have to play the Barney VCD and let him sit there watch while playing his toys, and raise my voice before I can feed him. But outside, he will guai guai sit there till we carry him out.
How woh? I wonder if I shld buy a highchair and leave at my mum place and retrain him to eat while sitting on his highchair

wah.. u already v lucky lei.. Lucas can sit thruout the meal when outside.. haiz.. my rascal ah.. eat a while nia wan to get down and play.. somemore its walk here walk ther touch this & that.. We wan a peaceful meal also cannot.. sometimes really sianz to bring her out for meals liao..

Arhh ... why so difficult to make toddlers sit on highchair ... at home I can manage to make him sit on highchair and feed him by ... one very small thin sliced of sour plum then must wait until he finish chewing then faster feed him few mouthful while he still enjoying the sour plum taste in his mouth. After that, no taste liao, he refuse to eat until u give him another slice of sour plum! I really dread of feeding times nowadays.
triangel, oh no! did PD ask u to bring T to hospital? the other time my gal got it she had to be hospitalised to be on anti-b drip for few days. thereafter still need to be on oral medication for few weeks, depending on the seriousness of the UTI, some may need longer medication.

ya, Darwin also run around. That time i brought him to GUG, he couldnt sit still! he walked around and went to other senior classes. The teachers have to carry him back! Now i even have to resort to buying a DVD player for him to watch on the ride home, else he'll cry and fight his way out of the car seat. sigh.... i think Darwin is hyper active leh. how huh......
peanut, barney vcd and toys is off the highchair and at the living room making him sit down on the little tikes children chair ... need to bluff him with sourplum if wan him sit on highchair. He refused to eat his porridge lately eh ... but I make sure he finished the whole bowl of porridge de... my mum give him mee ta mak today he also spit out, give cereals also dun wan. Dunnoe wats wrong with him again. Haiks.

oh dear... hope its jus a mild case.. Me last time was a frequent UTI sufferer... if serious wil b v pain one.. my 1st when i was in kindergarden was the worst.. practically urine blood..
Gals are v prone to UTI so got to take care of hygiene.. even if they dun wet their diaper that much these day cos got use potty sometimes, also dun use the same one for tooo long.. Sometimes my gal jus changed her diaper at 7pm and by bedtime not v wet i also change for her even thou my mil keep saying wasteful.. cos i dun wan her to wear the same one from 7pm till 7am nex morning!! 12hrs lei.. imagine her poor buttock steamed for so long..
Then when wash or use toilet paper on her buttock.. alwasy do it from front to back.. never from back to front

claudia also been eating non stop i think she just wan to move her mouth, so if her mouth got nothign then she wans to either drink nei nei, drink her wood wood, eat biscuit, drink water, eat porridge or something... whole weekend i am like so bz preparing to her needs.... but she still taking her pacifier leh...lolx

guess kids also hav their good and poor appetite time like adults ba.. unless it drags on for quite some time then need to raise concern. In e meantime mayb u giv frequent meals in smaller amt?? cos he appetite not good try not to force down too much at 1 go..

triangel, to me the culture test basically means a urine test i tink, different term used bah. my gal upon taking the 1st test was immediately admitted already, perhaps hers was quite bad, therefore needs drip rightaway. and during the few days when on drip, always need to take urine test cos they wanted to ascertain if the drip is working well on the bateria, so this is what u r doing now when yr gal is taking medication. maybe yr gal is older and perhaps her UTI is mild tats why can just take oral medication.
and ya lor, gals more prone to UTI so hv to take care of personal hygience and clean well. hope T will be ok soon!

kite flying last fri was ok. but wind not as strong as the last time we went, and the field was rather wet. but it was still good to meet up with some mummies and kiddos.

My gal after taking the chinese med stil no improvement.. stil coughing and runny yellow mucus.. so yest last resort i went to Eu Yang San bought the Hou Ning for her to try.. only 1 small bottle of powder to b split twice for her to take once in monring and at nite.. this.. small little bottle of powder.. cost me $61. its reeeeeeeally exp.. but many good feedbacks.. so i hope it works for my gal after which if got improvement will switch her to ba bao san which is much cheaper.. If after al this effort stil no recover then hav to put her on antibiotic already.. haiz...

peanut: my toddler started on shichida method last week, also cannot sit still half an hr thru the class point door and kept making a lot of whine..had to take her out in the end only attended half an hr..
Sigh asked sch if can refund or delay etc say cannot, regret, bcos no trial class!

u have to be persistent..it was only the 1st lesson. My boy is already on his 3rd term in SM. U can't expect them so young to sit still throughout. Even my gal's class, the boys are still running around at times! Some are already 3YO. My gal sits through most of the time...but i think this is already her 8th or 9th term! So dun give up!

hope nini gets well soon with the hou ning powder. I bought many packets of that EYS hou ning powder more than 1 year ago too when my gal was coughing a lot and i refused to put her on antibiotics. Yes, it cost a bomb!!! It didn't work for her...and ended up she had pneumonia and I was chided by the PD pretty badly for not willing to start her on antibiotics earlier. But i have heard some kids respond to it pretty well...basically, what i am trying to say is that...if after a few servings of the powder and u dun see much improvement, I suggest u bring her to the PD and let him/her listens to her lungs again...

by the way, you can try to double boil chinese pear with chuan bei powder. My grandma make it once a week for Darwin so that he doesnt get cough easily, sort of prevention and cure. when there is cough, should give alternate or everyday. maybe becoz Darwin has been taking jing feng san since 2 mths old, he seems to be quite strong. He only been sick once, after the MMRV jab. It's just my grandma's belief and practice for so many kids, so i just go with it.

I bought ba bao san for Lucas since he is few mths old ... but only fed him when he was few mths old then I stopped. Lately, I realise I hear alot of noise from him .. dunnoe issit phelgmy or noise from his nose (which PD says is fine) .. wonder I shld give him e ba bao san?
Recently, everytime my FIL bring Lucas go fetch MIL from work, he will grab and they jus pay for a pack of chips for him and give him few mouthful ... buay tahan. Also never simply tell him "no" and put away the chips. Now he is juz a junker ... eat potato chips, gummy bear sweets, youghurt milk sweet and sour plum .. then refuse milk and porridge. Haiks.
Yesterday he climb up a high chair, I carried him down and beat his backside and he cried. MIL immediately carry him up despite mi saying dun carry him. Very angry with her. Trying to be the 'hao ren' at home.

ah jo, the kind of 溺爱 from grandparents is really a headache! Can u imagine my dad bought a pencil box for K, just bcos she refuse to let it go while in the shop? N when reach home, she dun want it anymore liao.
