Good morning mummies

Do take care ya, cos gastric can come back now n then. My elder son cmg to 4yrs old(Nursery) attends full-day cc, near my PIL's place. I been wanting to change his cc to near my place cos my PILs now no longer taking care of him or fetching him from cc. He is very attached to my MIL, if he stays overnight at my PIL's place, they can't manage to send him to cc cos they are very "soft"- dun dare to scold/discipline him, it had happened so many times when my hubby was out of town for 11days n I was having my confinement.
I'm considering Cherie Hearts but checked with them, they have no space now, so we are being placed on their waiting list. I can't imagine having to lug my newborn and bring my elder son to a cc so far from my place, especially on rainy days like today. Currently, my hubby does the fetching cos he's a teacher, now having sch hols but next yr when sch starts I gotto do it myself already. Praying hard to get a place at Cherie Hearts soon.

Not easy to manage a newborn and a toddler, so I think sending #1 to cc is good, at least U can get some rest in betw and yr gal also can learn new things and play with children of her age.

Oh I see, U stay with MIL. I find it's not easy hor stay with MIL, I stayed with my PIL for 3mths during my ML when my place was undergoing renov. after a few days I felt like moving out..

Yaolan are actually not safe for bb, but most mummies still use for bb cos the rocking motion and the tight wrapping at the sides resembles what's like in our womb, so it can supposely make bb sleep better. Some bb can get addicted to the ricking motion and refused to sleep when there's no yaolan, so that can be a problem too.

mummies with elder kiddo, my #1 oso the same... really very notti... always do notti things to annoy us!!!..
Kash, my gal went to full day CC when she's 22 mths... she cried for the 1st few weeks... now going to sch ok liao... still can wave and say bye bye to us... but she still cry sometimes when we go and pick her up from sch... we started her full day immediately... did not even try 1/2 day... guess we have to be abit "heng xin"... also be prepared for her to fall sick often at the beginning... my gal fall sick on the second day!... then now oso got HFMD... so sometimes teacher may suspect the kid have HFMD and wont allow the kid to go sch...

My bb was already burping during pregnancy and we found it so cute. She doesn't like water though I tried giving her some.

Took bb for jab this morning and the nurse says it's ok if bb doesn't poo for few days. Have to ensure the next poo not hard or take note if bb face shows signs of difficulty to push out the poo.
My CL also advised me to tilt her face to the side when sleeping. Learned a lot of tips from CL.

Your Hi-Fi is reasonably priced cos when I was looking out, didn't find anything less than $100. Am thinking of getting a Hi-Fi for bb too, can share which model and where did you purchase?

Thanks for the encouragement! These few days when I took care of bb alone, havn't got much appetite to eat breakfast and lunch. BB's habits changing and I'm trying to adapt. Now when she wants to sleep, she starts getting cranky and cry non stop. Try to pacify by patting and carrying her till my arms ache.. Think that Yaolan is an alternative also but can't give to bb as most likely sending her to infant care when I get back to work. Infant care use only cots, they will have a hard time handling bb if addicted to Yaolan.

When they speak, they cannot pronounce 'th'. Usually people say like short tongue like that. The piece of skin inbetween the tongue and the bottom part is very short, so restrict the tongue movement lor..

Hi bluebear! When my Lucas fuss half way thru during feed, we will try to burp him. Even after he burps and we try feeding him again, he still fuss or take long time before he starts drinking again. Thought might be the bottle teat too small ... we enlarge it liao, he still fuss during feeding.

me out w baby alone since 8am tis morn. not too bad, sent hubby to work n went to takashimaya. she only cried a lil n i had to stop to pacify her. she slept most of e time otherwise. think she really likes gg out more than staying home. enjoyed bringin her out.just that i cant do too much shoppin coz can't manage my big pram n e shoppinh bags! but i did spoil myself n got ne a Le Sports Sac diaper bag,ke ke...

i stil went despite rain. baby was cheeky, she woke up when we reached n she kept smiling at Adrian!(cried only aft we left, coz she hungry) really pleased coz he said she is doing so much better than he expected n her improvement is tremendous. hubby n my effort and persistence to help rid of e air n bloatedness paid off. he did less massage for her today but checked on her other areas like her throat,etc. wil b seeing him again in new year. my mum was around when i "galloped" her just now n she let out a loud n huge burp. she was really impressed!

i called 2 kinderland outlets...all full for whole of next year! Pengz!!! I checked out another kinderland outlet today...but it is airconditioned. from your experience, is air con or non aircon CC better? coz most of my frens tell me non aircon is better as the disease will not spread as easily. However, I find aircon CC looks cleaner leh...
Have you all heard of Cambridge Child Development? Do u think Kinderland or Cambridge will be a better choice for CC? Coz I not much "research" in the areas of CC...need some advise.

I will try not to bring bb out too often esp to crowded shopping malls often before they are 3 to 4 mths old...coz if bb gets sick.... it is really heartpain and headache... their immune system is very low still at this stage. Anyway, that's my personal point of view. Coz my gal has been sick twice so far now that she is 19 mths plus. but the 2 times she got sick...it was extremely tough for us to handle... and very heartpain.
think the 4 of us rushing The Gem of Life! hahaha...me finished episode 45 this morning... so so so nice!!!

me really sleepy now. baby will crying (or more like screaming) since 5pm til 9pm..she only stop when i fed and bath her. kept screaming and only dozing off for like few min each time. i was so exhausted i just lay on e couch with her and she finally stopped crying but was awake for a whole hour. finally hubby came home and took over too feed her EBM and helped burp her. think she had too much air in belly coz she burped quite a bit. still hubby got skill to make her burp.

I will go for non-aircon coz disease wont spread tat easily,air is fresher and the kids can sweat out while they are having activities,w/o fear tat they will catch a cold.
I have nt heard of Cambridge child development but i saw one at novena,next to the chruch.Is it the same?
I am not sure which cc is of a better choice for your area.Normally i look out for the following during visits, to decide :
* Are the kids happy and prone to qnes? This is impt to me cos i believe it affects their growth.If the kids are active,happy and prone to qnes,tat's mean they feel warm,secured and enjoy the sch life.I did visit ctr with children jus sitting still,staring at me.Of coz,cannt expect all to be active but at least >50% of them.
* Enviroment clean and organise?
* Monitor the ways the teachers teach the kids and handle them.How dedicated and experienced are they.
* Location
* If the kitchen is keep clean and how is their meals.
* Curriculum
B4 i decide on LV,i in love with another CC.But too bad,their kitchen is just next to the rubbish chute!

I am quite confused over the 5-in-1 and 6-in-1 immunisation package for newborn. So whats the difference? Which package did most of you take up for your baby?
I am still deciding whether to bring my baby for the jabs at private clinic or the polyclinic. Can anyone kindly give me some advice on this?

hey, kitchen! I nvr tot abt that. I failed to visit the kitchen when I was in Kinderland Safra yday... alamak!

I have also visited an MMI outlet which is in HDB and it is non aircon. it gave me the impression of "not so clean". perhaps I visited in the afternoon during a really hot and humid day. But the mattresses that the kids slept in looks dirty and old. The kinderland was opened more than 1 yr ago and aircon...hence, looks very clean. However, I really forgot to check where is the kitchen located. All the locations of my choices are not 100% convenient. The kinderland outlet which is the most convenient is already full for whole of next year so I have striked it off my list.
Today i watched The GEm of Life Epi 46... getting nicer and nicer... same here... watched when i feed bb or pumping.... but i pump for 30 mins (using dual pump also take me so long
)

We took my gal to polyclinic for her 2nd Hep B jab and have checked on the 6 in 1 jab. It's too confused to remember all the jabs but 6 in 1 is a better one. We went to the Woodlands one and am glad that nowadays polyclinic has better service and we didn't have to wait long. The nurse was really helpful in answering my questions and for sure polyclinics would not overcharge.

It's very difficult to burp my bb and I apply Ruyi Oil after each bath and she'll just let the gas out.

We went to the Woodlands one and am glad that nowadays polyclinic has better service and we didn't have to wait long. The nurse was really helpful in answering my questions and for sure polyclinics would not overcharge.

It's very difficult to burp my bb and I apply Ruyi Oil after each bath and she'll just let the gas out.
hi triangel, i brought my bb to PD for 6in1.. cos tat time she has some rash on face to be treated. i noe GP is cheaper, u might wanna try if u dun nid to ask PD qns.
poohbeary, we took 6in1 cos only nid 3 visits/jabs as compared with 5in1 which nids 5 visits/jabs.
JJmom2008, at week 7 i'm getting abt 200ml in the mornings and 150ml evenings at 3-4hrs interval if baby doesnt latch on. but bb drinks only abt 110ml each time.. my storage EBM mostly untouch.. a bit wasted..

hope you all had a good christmas! i have been eating and feastin so much, ai yo..but i managed to fit into my skinny jeans so kinda happy. =P stil have some bottoms that can't wear still though.

my supply for my EBM is still very low too. and i am only pumpin once a day in e night. i normally get about 80 - 140 ml for both sides (never latch baby). i find it hard to find motivation to pump even aft latchin baby esp aft i see tt i can only get like 40ml..but i guess i have to try to motivate myself to pump more often esp now that hubby is on a week's leave and can help at home.
