Hi mummies!

Today went ParentCraft to sort out my ss problem. But I think it was quite a wasted trip. The LC just said it's not blocked ducts but though the top part feels very 'tense' and to pump more often. It's actually my 1st time to ParentCraft after delivery. Their room is soo small, think they shld have a bigger room with more partitions. It's like 4 mummies were squeezing in the room pumping and with our breast exposed haa. SS still miserable, I think I will just continue to pump and hope for the best. *SIGH*

Fifi: Now I know why your friend said the LC 'massage' is even more painful than delivery!!

Giving water: Looks like its still a common practice among the older pple to give bb water. No wonder on the bus when my bb start crying, I immediately have 2 aunties telling me 'Feed him water lah!!' -_-

Solids - mabbe will start when bb hits 5.5 mths. Hmm that's still a mth away. He has been sucking/eating his fists like nobody's biz, and suck till got abit of blood somemore. *faint* mum was so alarmed when she saw that. SHows he is really sucking hard on his fingers.

Auggybear: Think bb can 'recognise' faces. When inlaws carry him (they dont see him often), he will fuss. But my friends carry him ok leh. Sometimes I think also depend on their mood.

i bought teh brown rice w shi sheng liao...i bought those with yang sheng 1 coz they say si sheng is heaty so add yang sheng will cool down...but i havent give lo...

heard that coz bb start recog ppl abt 3-4mths time, some slower some faster, and if everytime only see dad mum ah ma etc i.e.family mmebers and hardly bring bb out to meet people, bb will scare when c new faces lo
 
Bibi, rhesus is the thing that give u ur +/- grouping. It's like blood group typing, ABO. +/- is also a type of typing, second most common aft ABO. Since u are O+ u don't need to worry liao. Ur son has the blood group that everybody can use. However, he can only use his own blood type if he ever needs a transfusion *touch wood*. He is known as the universal donor. The rarest blood grp is not O- but AB-.

Glad-gal oh dear.. all they advised was to increase ur pumping freq?? hrmm guess u gotta be hardworking liao.. jiayou ya? how come ur boy can suck until got blood? hands bleeding or mouth bleeding?

my boy too...initially he can drink alot more if he sleeps longer but after awhile he drinks as little as 2oz even if sleep for 7 to 10hrs straight...so i revert back to every 4hrly feeding...then can go back to about 28oz per day...he slim down ever since i try to lengthen his milk intake...whenever he sucks or move instead of giving him milk, i gave pacifier and he will continue to go back to sleep...after that when he wakes up, he either refuse milk or drink only 2oz...poor thing .....think it drop to about less than 20oz per day ley...very scared so revert back to 4hrly feed...think bb at this age shouldnt be drinking so little lo ho
 
today i give bb 1 teaspoon of grinded papaya coz his poo now smashy type, stick form though not very hard...and he sulks...dun like it... duno whether 1 2 give him further or not hhh....kept pulling my self back for solid but kept giving myself excuse to give him...HELP.... oh ya, i also gave him about 10ml of cooked barley water without sugar before too....
 
Fruche: I thought my bb is giant, hehe..I guess we have big bb.. my bb first new born weight is 3.58kg.. everyone gasped at his wt.. the last time we weighed him which he is 4mth old, he is 8.175kg for 63cm. he also looked like 9mth plus. I have to let him wear L size clothing and he is now wearing L for his diapers..

Glad_glad: my MIL AND my own mother also keep pesterin me to train my bb drink water.. tell them that PD say only need to wet his mouth with water can alr. Bf mom no need to feed water, still don understand.. Am feeding on demand, but end up my MIL tell pp that bb refused to drink much water because he is on opium (angry, say my BM is opium) Old pp reali not very educated.. should bring her along to PD next visit..

Peanut: ur bb very cute.. he is sitting up? can sit up alr meh with no support? he sitting on what?
 
shop4stuff: my bb now he also don reali like papaya.. i recently steamed pear.. the pear with the brown skin, not the yellow skin or the green skin.. very nice.. my bb loves the steamed pear and the natural juice. tomo am trying to steam again and put in his rice cereal.. my boy nowadays seems to be drinking lesser.. am worried.. he very interested in the food we eat, want to snatch.. so am slowly giving him the rice cereal, hope he can be fuller.. but still give him BM.

Alyssa only weigh 6.25kg? But she looks chubby when we meet at White dog cafe.. Mine was 6.15kg as at 4months. same here, was a bit worried but PD said ok, ask me to continue giving bm only, no need to intro semi-solid food.

Stranger anxiety!! My bb oso.. go back my mum's place sure cry.. they ony tok to her nia she starts crying.. v difficult.. In the end, i tried showing her their photos everyday and telling her who they r.. last 2 times bring her back seems to hav some improvement *cross fingers* Hope it gets better

my boy birth is 3.62kg and 53cm ley..but at 4mths hes only 7.3kg 65.5cm ley...think coz i try to lenghten his sleeping time so he slim down...so sad when i knew that your boy birth wt is same as mine but now he 1kg more than mine...

Got a ques....you know how sometimes when we move, there will be a "crack"/"pop" sound coming from our joints? Does babies make that sound too? Not sure if its a cause for worry, it doesn't happen often but sometimes I hear that sound when I move dd, or carry her. It's soft but still, I dont remember hearing it when I was looking after the boy in my mom's care. =(

now my boi know to yell when he get all excited.. v funny.. i saw him yell for the 1st time last sunday when we are playing toys together with my 2YO nephew aka terrorist.. he even will yell at kor kor when kor kor is screaming...am now so scare my boy will be same as this nephew..fainted~~ next time they play in a closed door room. cos gg to be damn noisY!!

what a good idea to pin towel on baby shirt as my maid sometimes drop the towel on the floor and she pick it up and wipe baby's mouth straight away,not that hygiene. look like your boy likes to wear romper ya, my girl don't like,she will be cranky easily if i let her wear romper

pin the towel on the shirt is very convenient, dun need to look for towel but there's lot of holes on the clothes. haiz,,,,, anyway my boi outgrown the clothes very quickly so doesn't matter.

get cranky when wearing romper?? wah, so young wanna chose clothes liao.. then u must save more money to buy nice clothes for her.

hv u received the bibs from baby? those bibs quality is good,nice and cheap, i had brought 13 of it,so satisfied. taka baby fair selling at $7.90-$9.90 each,so ex,someone not so nice also
