Did someone mention abt wanting to get the book "Weaning -by Sara Lewis" (smth like dat?). Saw a few of them on sale at Sembawang Shopping Centre POpular Bookstore, $9.90. Not sure if it is the right book.

sometimes bb fusses a lot sometimes she drink guai guai.. depends on little princess's mood.. When she refuses milk, i'll tell mil CANNOT give too much water. But how much she heed i really dunoe, esp when working its really not within my control.. and i hate it whenever tinking abt this,
 
Haiz Peanut, remember my princess also belong to the same Fussy club. Sigh. Just that i m SAHM, so i can control her not drinking of water. BUt thinking on good side, next time nini will not fuss when drinking water after she takes solids.

I think you better change the diapers for nini more often. coz after my colleague's daughter kena UTI, it affected her bladers, she had to be on medication for life! what's worse is that she has to wait till a certain age to test her kidneys to see if they are ok.

Bear> Sorry, what I meant was that I was under a lot of stress, adjusting to the new role of being a mmmy & quarrelling with hubby everyday caused me to be weepy everyday during the first month, so I gave up breastfeeding after that. Just couldn’t handle…

Think I will miss this once i stop breastfeeding. not the pain though. :p

Bibi: my bb at 4mth and 1 week...and he's wearing 9mth clothings. So many nice clothes but he wore once and that's it. Maybe he's like daddy....daddy 1.8m and he's 64cm already. Dr told me he's tall for his age.

How long did your CB last? Am thinking of going back to CB too.

Defrosted EBM (defrost in fridge) can last 24 hrs in fridge. Warm up le finish within half to 1 hr as far as possible. That's what the nurse told me. But bear read some other study. So we will be asking Cynthia when she returns. Tell you sometime next week. For me, I currently throw when reach 2 hrs.

I agree that BM does help their immunity. My hubby was sniffing coz he was heaty. I think he passed it to my daughter but she seemed almost unaffected except for some mucus in her nose. Continue to eat well, sleep well, play well. Very alert and active too. Then I think she passed it to me. Like my hubby did, I am now suffering block & abit of runny nose.


Bear:
Switch formula may cause constipation or diarhhoea. So ur MIL is juz talking rubbish again in my opinion.... as usual... haha.


Waterbaby:
My PD said... gone are the days of Buddha babies (fattened by FM). Its unhealthy and may lead to weight & health problems in the future.


Peanut:
Its ok. My gal is below 7kg too. At 4m1wk, she was 6.25kg. I was worried but PD says its ok.

I think its common. My daughter also fuss. Muz force abit sometimes.

Fruche, car seat we bought from kiddy palace.. very cheap only S$98. u can go see see, my gal likes her car seat v much. but still, her stroller is her best fren haha.

Waterbaby, my gal also started to sleep long hours! i was so worried... for the last 2 days she slept from 6pm to 7am! just like urs.. i had to wake her up at 1am to eat, else i think she not feeding enuff. i think its not normally leh.. but she no fever, no diahorrea nothing. urs ok?

KTV, ME ME ME!! haha asking hubby now.. hope he says yes haha. its 6-10pm with buffet one right? i rem quite exp tho, abt $35 aft taxes.. so hope not too many people, else must fight for the MIC! :p

bb fuss during feed:
It seems like even guai guai babies are starting to fuss during feeds. Cld this b a stage they will go thru?

But for peanut and myself, our babies fuss since they were born. Our babies VERY SPECIAL. Haha.

Peanut, why dun u bring MIL to the PD the next time? have him explain why cannot give so much water to Nini.. I saw ur Nini that day.. not dark wat.. quite fair!

Bibi, wow ur boy is big! powerful BM u have! haha.. Ur son is Rhesus negative.. are u Rhesus negative or positve? if u are positive, ur next pregnancy might have some complications. u can speak to ur gynae before trying the next one ya? U shd encourage ur boy to be a blood donor...

Re: carcinogens
Actually its super duper common to be exposed to carcinogens. being exposed to them doesn't mean u will def develop cancer. If u are genetically predisposed to be susceptible to cancer, u will have a higher chance of developing it even if u avoid cancer causing agents like mad. Another person might not dev cancer even he is exposed to carcinogens daily.

Carcinogens are everywhere. Heavy metals in the air, petrol-chem substances, plastic ware, detergents, body foams, preservatives etc. can u avoid all? sure u can avoid most if u know the product has them but bottomline is if u are genetic predisposed to developing cancer, u still have a higher risk of developing it even if u avoid them.
