Ur gynea's nice getting u to eat natural. I can't for calcium cos lactose intolerant + I BF for 13mths so gynea made me take calcium as she says BF use up alot liao must replanish. Anyway she wants me to take to aviod having early birth again this time cos she says calcium intake as been linked to early birth. My son was born on 36wk exactly.

Any of u tried or used nursing pillow for bf? I haven't tried it b4 but looks useful. Saw one at JL yesterday on promotion only $29.90 UP 52.90. I think it's a good deal but didn't get it cos my couz said she can lent it to me. Still contemplating if i sud buy or borrow frm couz. Any advise, mummies?

my advice, borrow fr ur cuz 1st. if u find tt it's really useful, then buy it. a few of my frens bought it, bt in d end, they sold it off as they dun find it tt useful.

My girl is visiting Kidslink Children's Clinic @ Lot 1 or Jurong East. Both Paed doc are good. Why two, becos if my gril is sick and one of the clinc is close in the evening or one of the paed doc go hoilday.

Shay, My friend also bought the nursing pillow, but did not used at all as her bb girl will cry and refuse milk. I think the pillow will be good for our back when BF, but most of the time the infant dislike as they perfer we cuddle them.
So she said she will give it to me as no use to her.

Shay, I have been using the nursing pillow for my girl and i find it good. It is good for the back at least not so aching and i just need to use one arm to support her head but sometime i will choose to cuddle her.

Everybody can feel bb's movement at diff stage, dun pressurise urself lor.
My gynae told me the thickness(fats) in mummy's tummy plays a part in feeling bb's movement also.

ha ha...think that is what my gynae told to console me during my 1st preggy lor.
I can only feel my bb more than 20th wk at that time, mainly because she is those yawning and sleepy type of bb.
can saw her yawning whenever i went for scan.

my waist line is thick also....
but due to my minnie is super active type, I can feel her lor.

philip isis duo is $799 but for medela PIS, there are many different prices depending on the bag and content. i saw 1 that came with shoulder bag at $499 and metro bag with more things at $669 from the first few years.

it seems like medela doesn't come with milk bottle, so my hubby suggest that we buy philip isis duo instead since there is already milk bottle in there. but i'm still looking around. it seems medela is a more popular brand compare to philip. so i can't decide too. hehehe....

I can only feel my bb once ( last thursday) haha i was saying 'i prefer boy more than girl' to my hubby.. i think she is angry with me.. so she kicked me hahah i know it's very unfair to my bb girl so i will love her more leh

less active better lah, then easier to take care when they are born.

dun worry, its ok to put on some little fats during preggy.....hee hee....
no lah, i believe it really depend on how active is the bb to let u feel.

celyn, i'm also v confused with the medela packaging. i was told the one from your weblink costs ard $799 or more, then i also see the double electric pump for other prices like $400+, etc. so does the $799 come with milk bottles? my friend said it does, and also a manual pump, just in case the electric system breaks down.

philips is not bad too, but i dunno if i'm going ot invest in philips all the way coz' i heard that if u buy avent, your milk bot, teat, steraliser, etc. all has to come from avent. they're not compatible with other brands.

yah, i'm equally confuse with the medela pump. and the sales person that i have met so far are not friendly at all. so can't get much information. even the website info is not as friendly as the avent catalogue that i got.

for me, i will be getting the avent milk bottle anyway cos colleagues and friend recommend it strongly. so in this case, getting the avent pump is not a major issue for me.

its just that medela pump seems to be more popular and slight cheaper compare to avent, therefore i'm looking at the possibility to get a medela pump.

Went for scanning last saturday and it is a boy this time. Yes, very happy for me and hubby and what a relief to his parents. Getting excited to shop for boy stuff now.

Can check with you the nursing pillow u saw at JL is it the moon shape one with a stripe to go around your waist? I am thinking of getting one this time. Usual price i saw is around 89.90. If is the same type, then i think is a good buy. Do they still have it now?

Went to Mums &amp; Babes yesterday to take a look at the co-sleeper/playpen. Have asked the SA whether got more discount if buy in bulk but she said the $129 (member's price) is the lowest price liao. The original retail price is $399.

I think they are trying to clear the existing stock because the only colour left is the whitish/biege colour one, which me n my hubby not keen on. So end up didn't buy.
Then i asked if got other playpen models (coz i saw in their brochure/website got 2 other playpen models) to see but she said no more stock liao, all sold out.

i remember u said ur fren gave u a device which suppose to hear fetal heartbeat, but u said cannot hear, right? I saw a similar device selling in Mums &amp; Babes also, but they put there can only hear during 3rd trimester. So i think that's why u cannot hear anything lah. Maybe you try using it again when u reach 3rd trimester.
 
krex &amp; celyn, i can't comment on isis duo cos i've never used it but i used the isis manual before. it is good especially if baby is latching one side and u have let down on the other side, which gives quicker pumping. but hand can get tired. as for the PIS, i find it doesn't empty the breasts as well as the isis (manual) even though it was dual pumping. but maybe all electric pumps do not empty the breasts as well? not sure about isis duo though as it was launched after i bought the PIS.

hey MTBs, any recommendation where you get your nursing bras? I prefer those rounded cups like normal bras.

Yes, the nursing pillow is cresent in shape but w/o the stripe. never seen any nursing pillow with the stripe b4. i also think it's a good buy cos normally the price of nursing pillow is ard $59. I was there last sat night and there were 3 left. It's in the promotion basket at the bb section. It comes with 2 free cases. I was thinking if we can get better deals at the coming taka bb fair......

Thanks. My first one is a girl mah, and now number 2 is a boy. It is a 'good' then.

nursing pillow, i know there is another type without the stripe around the waist one, that one not so good. With stripe then can support the weight of the baby. Which JL carries it, any idea?
