The strip has 3 sections. I think 1 is control section(?), the other is for protein, and last is for sugar. It is the colour nearest the end that we look out for sugar. It is normally yellow is no sugar. If have sugar, it will change to different degrees of green colour. There is a colour chart on the container which contains the dipsticks. Different brands have different colour charts. Some of them is up to +++, others is up to ++++ (the more sensitive ones).The greener it is, the more sugar it indicates. You need to compare the dipstick colour change to the colour chart on the container to see how much sugar there is in your urine. The nurse would have done it for you. The amount will range from +, ++, to +++ and sometimes to ++++. + is not as bad as ++, ++++ being the worst.I understnad that sugar will remain in our bodies for at least 2 days...
