Like to ask for ideas on how to train baby to drink water/juice by using training cup (spout / straw)?

6 mths is too young to use straw. you can let your bb try spout 1st and see if he is ready for that. what size of the teat is he using now?

think if my bb is a gal one i sure spend a bomb. luckily boy's clothes not so sweet and cute. if not i sure BUy BUY BUY. *faint*

sorry for skipping your question.
for my case, my gal doesn't drink water from bottle. (haven't introduce spout yet). what i doing now is to feed her water with spoon. that's really very slow and she only drink a few sips of water everyday.

sheepy, i also feed my boy with spoon. sometimes he is ok with bottle if he is very thirsty i guess. but normaly he will play with teh teat, biting it instead of drinking. so i use spoon to feed him lor.

i think we had some discussion on the Globetrotters previosly.
someone mentioned that the food is not good although the restaurant is family friendly.
of course United Square is more convenient for me. :p
 
i been dying to start ruth on sippy cup ... but she cannot even handle Avent Teat #3. Still on #2 for milk and #1 for water/ribena/gripe water etc.

I think she's used to sucking really hard and when using #3, everything will just keep over-flowing...

but that said, she can really recognize her 'water mug' which is a lucky baby pink bottle (got 2 free with purchase of this container to put dry milk bottles). Once she see it, she'll reach for it and if we don't "HAND IT OVER" within 5 seconds, she'll start to make noise liao.

erm.. u just started n vcd for bb huh... maybe bb's attention span so long yet. when i just started, matthew watch abt 10 min or lesser, he will whine liao. nowadays, he can watch 3 vcd @ 1 go... hahha free up my time to do other things leh.

yup,sometimes when thirsty,he'll drink fr btl.but sometimes i no choice but to use syringe to feed him slowly despite his frustration.drink water like wanted to kill him.thus no confidence of training him to drink fr spout (training cup).i saw fr babyctr web,recommend to introduce training cup together w solid food so i try to follow lor.
