Blessedbaby, I got 3 books by Gina Ford from bookdepository recently. One on potty training, one on sleep training, last one on contented toddler and baby. Can't tell you if it's useful yet until I try it out myself. But I'll try to establish my own routine but keep in mind some of the useful tips bah. Because when baby is born, hubby is on school holidays but 1 month later, CL goes home and hubby goes back to school. So I expect a lot of changes to the routine.

Verene, wa, $300+ a bit out of my budget leh. Too bad, my pilot friend no longer flies to USA. If not can tompang him to buy. I was reading the review for Tibo (the brand NTUC was selling) but review very bad. As for Garmin, the review said once go into tunnel, the screen freezes so end up don't know which exit to go out but the map updating is very easy.

Pixie, thanks for feedback on Shinco. Looks like all 3 brands got pros and cons. Tom Tom recommended by blessedbaby supposed to be good too but seems to be most exp of the lot. Sigh. I'm also lost on such techie toys.

Kam & Pauline: thanks for your feedback. In fact, one of my friend read the contented baby book by Gina Ford, she said it is too harsh on baby and the routine is not suitable. I think it depends on individual bah.
As what you said, no harm to keep in mind some useful tips. ;-) I think I just borrow her book from library if possible. ;-)

borrow a copy of stuff or T3 lor, sure got loads of tech toys for you to buy for hb

Do you let Haore read mandarin books? Went to popular but can't find good variety of mandarin books for their age. My girl now speaks mandarin with an english slang, regretted didn't start talking to her in mandarin 1st, even if i speak to her now, i tend to speak in english naturally, forgeting about wanting to speak to her in mandarin.

Hubby &amp; I had a "montessori search day" yesterday. Thinking to put J for half day playgroup in mid of next year. Guess what... mostly are on long waiting list...Wonder why the demand is so high &amp; yet so limited classes...
I even joked with him, how come he is going to retrench me so soon...haahaa

Any mummies have found a gd playgroup so far?

just wanna share this free app with iphone mummies. i have downloaded Shape Builder (puzzle game) for Adelle and she loves playing it. after playing for a few times, she can now piece the puzzle together for certain pics.

so sleepy, my boy has fever for 3 days liao, i didnt sleep well as need to monitor his temperature and give him paracetamol every 6hrly before his temperature gets too high.. super tiring..
took a short nap just now, but didnt help much.. yawnzz

Just any book. But recently he is not interested in books at all. This morning hubby said have to buy Thomas books to get him interested in book again We only speak to him in Mandarin. English is only to teach him individual words.

I pump 3 hourly at work. I also didn't stock up frozen EBM, only 1 liter. Mine also just enough to meet her demand.

When you let your gal play puzzle on hp or PC, please be reminded that it's not the same as playing with the "normal" puzzle. As picking up the different sizes of paper puzzle and assembling it together is different from doing clicking on the hp/pc. Though it still helps to learn to problem solving, in a slightly different way.

Yes, just change to Augmentin yesterday. Doc tell me to expect diarrhea after 3 days of this antibiotics. He hates this medication, think it really taste yucky. He had no problem with other medication. I tried to place it in the fridge like doc suggest, he also dun like it.

Kam: agree with you. I would prefer to let J to play with real puzzle set for her motor skills as well. ;-) Just spent another couple of hundred on her toys again yesterday night. I just love looking at her playing puzzles with her little hands. Very cute.

J loves books. Thats one of the activity I can put her to sleep easily. She used to run here and there after her milk feed, but now I use book to keep her settle down. I also tell her all the details we see from the pic of the books and ask her to repeat it again. She enjoys it and keep her book of the day under her pillow. ;-)))

got talentplus near JW for 18-36mths at $135 monthly for 2hrs only. uniform $40 (2 set) &amp; material fee $75. Not cheap. My coll feedback got alot of kids from china instead of singaporean.
