my boy really irritating and stubborn
yesterday i beat his hands and legs cos he refused to take dinner and instead just wanna put his hands in his mouth.

i refused to carry him and make him sit in the rocker.....while i do my things.

he cry till jialat....i go to him and scold him again and say if you want me bao bao,...you have to say...but he still refused leh

those trying for no 2 or 3....go and holiday adn relax easier to strike....best is not to think about baby making and 'enjoy' more....less stress...strike higher chance

yes...i am 'forcing' him to speak...cos he about two weeks never say ma ma or bao bao...

i really worry for my boy ah...cos of his speech...he dunno how to point....he will bring us to wherever he likes or wants....wanna us to play with him, he will pull us there and pull us to sit down and play

dunno how to wave bye bye....but actually not given much practices too...cos no need to wave bye bye to anyone

yesterday, i 'made' him cry cos he really naughty...so wanna 'punish' him...haha
 
Luca, I think you can try tcm, if not mistaken Pauline brough R to tcm before and recovered, where the western med din work.

i duno if he will wana take chinese medicine. i find that he doesnt like to eat or drink cooling stuff like barley water when he's sick. last week, i try cooking the cough soup for him, he taste abit and dun want liao.
but for western medicine, he'll ask to take medicine, even thou he oredy taken it. i think he so used to taking medicine liao..duh..

counting down to ur #2 arrival ya? usually #2 & #1 arrival date shd be abt the same cos my #1 overdue & force to induce after 2 days while my #2 arrive on the EDD. so all the best to u! keep us updated ya!

how's ur wound recovering? my wound infection took abt 1wk to recover previously. cos i took antibotic and apply some antibotic cream so healed quite fast. got a fren wound infection and took months to heal..

nowadays if im holding him and i'm talking to another person, while he wants my attention, he will push my face to face him so that i will stop talking and look at him to see what is is gesturing at/to

Yes, if your menses came on 15th, 16th and next menses come around the same period, should be counted as 30day cycle. Mine is 28 days so every month is different date.

Also heard that girls speak earlier than boys and boys can walk earlier than girls.

Don't worry lah, they will learn soon. My girl can speak but no point coz depends on her mood. Now she calls everyone Nai Nai coz she is taken care by my MIL. So sad. Sticked to her Nai Nai...

Did you ask your gynae to give you medicine? Don't worry too much. Just make sure you have enough rest and don't carry heavy stuff etc, including your boy. Think of it as 缘分.

As I shared, I read that it's considered normal if toddler doesn't speak until 2 years old. But having said that, you should continue to "stimulate" your kid to talk, read more, talk to him more, sing more, play with him more, etc. I have a book teaching how to encourage toddler to speak by playing, but it's in Chinese. I go back and look for it today, and post here if I can find it.

I don't believe in what the old people say. What I believe is every child is different, regardless of the gender. So treat your kid as a unique person and don't compare with others. Appreciate who he/she is and bring out the best of him/her.

i just finished reading ur blog as i have not visited for some time... Hao Re is really so cute.. and he is so mature hor.... like really understand both u and ur hubby.
and he can watch finish the whole movie!!!!!.. so great.. i wonder when i can bring javier to movie man. haha....

seeing tat u r so hardworking at taking care of Hao Re.. bringing him to everywhere.. makes me feel like i am a lazy mummy. hahaaaha...
 
kam, is the football yours, i mean the one that HR played at botanical garden. i tot of getting one too because shaun enjoyed kicking the player's football when he was at the stadium

Thanks! Ya, my boy is a such a good boy that we have no complain of him or whatsoever. Aiyoh, us not hardworking lah, but find that it's easy for him and for us to spend the day if we go out somewhere. Me lazy mum also, cos go out, I don't have to cook mah, haha :)

Hehe, not mine. It belongs to a kid who we met there. We very bad, every time went out also forgot to bring something along for Hao Re to play, only when saw other kids playing with their toy, then we realise, alamak, forgot to bring, AGAIN!

Where got mo sui. We all know this what. But just that difficult to do it. Especially when we live in Singapore, everything is so competetive. I am reading a few books now and try to learn more on how to bring up my kids the best way.

My hubby is different. He would rather go out than staying at home, so I won't ask him to take care of Hao Re mah. So we go out every weekend without fail. Sometime a short outing, something a whole day long outing. For my hubby, staying at home = watching tv, which i really don't want Hao Re to be tv addict. So I plan and plan and plan, and drag him out of the house lor.
 
my hubby only wants to go fishing lei.. which end up he fishing then javier keep running ard... become i keep running ard to take care of javier.. so tired.. cos got bicycles.. so dangerous... stressed!!.. hahaa....

krystle: my menses used to be 28-30 days before childbirth, nw can drag till 33-35 days, so uncertain, i also dunno hw to predict! the opk is those strips selling a dollar per strip rite?

I was telling some mummies here some time back that I read a book called "How to choose the gender of your baby". Recommended by my colleague as it worked for her and her friend, now worked for me too.
OPK is ovulation pregnancy kit. Can use to tell when will you ovulate so that can hit the target easily.

It really depends. Some pple still got regular menses while some went haywire. I used to have 28 days~30 days before preggie with #1. Now it shortened to 26~28 days. So I guess I am more fertile now???? Not sure OPK strips selling how much but maynot not so cheap. The $1 ones are maybe PTK (Pregnancy Test Kit) to test if you are preggy or not. I bot my OPK from Guardian (brand is Clearblue) $80. Inside got 1 digitial indicator and 7 strips. I used only 1 and now left with 6 strips. Interested to buy from me? Hehehe... I never thought I really so "zun" to test once and kena preggy liao. Wasted my money.

pixiepixel, CC useless ma? My GF keeps telling me how good CC is, how much her girl loves going there and how independent she is now etc. All the pros le.

blow yr temper! show them what n how u really feel. i did it this am to my hb when his idiotic mother locked my son out of my room again last nite. even when my hb knocked on the door and request for my son's blanket to be given to us so that he can sleep with us, she refused to open. i told him this "if yr idiotic mother locked my son out of MY ROOM the 3rd time, I am going to make sure I locked HER OUT OF MY HOUSE forever n she can kiss goodbye to all her grandchildren, ie, she is grandchildrenless!

i oso feel that way. no CC in sg is all pros, sure got cons one...just that you willing to take it or not.
fact is they view the cons more than the pros, say my boy never rcv full attention from teachers, wait fall down, sick, blah blah how. say family members take care sure better than outsiders. told them that my boy can learn more than at home they say wait till he's 3...
now at most weekend i try to teach more lor. wat to do. thats why i wanna move nearer to my mil place, at least at nite take him back liao can teach him more.
not to push my boy and be kiasu mummy but this is the right time to teach them the basics...which i dont think he is getting enough at my mil place

pixiepixel, you got try buy like educational dvds to let your ILs play for your boy? I mean its not really good to let them watch too much, but at least some chance he can pick up some stuff through listening to the songs and stuff? When you dont work on weekends thats the only time you can spend time to teach, guess SAHM and working mums all have their own shares of problems that we need to overcome and try to keep a balance? Its indeed tough sometimes. But you really wei da, to even consider moving to be nearer so that can bring your boy back every day.

Like you say CCs got pros and sure also got cons, but sometimes got to give and take a little here and there. Its really dependent on what is our priorities.
