mel, dont worry... its ok to be kiasu. just tell the hospital you have not felt alot of movement and are concerned. they will take you seriously! also.. dont wait if you are worried, cos you already 39th week... dont take chances.

if less than 10 movement a day, its safe to raise the warning flag..

10 movement have .. Just a slight nudge once in a while .. Sigh .. Just called my hubby and decided to head down mt alvernia .. Rather spend some money than i going through emotional stress ..

Anyone know roughly how much it cost for mt a a&e ?

Be careful... though I dun experience backaches for my 2 pregnancies. Maybe you over stress yourself during #1 or current pregnancy, posture very important but many blame on epidural. Aiyoh, cannot lah, still carry #1. Please take care ah boh next time you got lifetime "guarantee" backache. Kekeke....

No lah, not looking for storage bags cos me got alot of bottles. Was thinking how to use milk bags... think pump liao pour inside those bags... but small amount of milk how? Can pour in many times then full liao freeze it? Abit confusing... =P

Sian right, cannot drink even plain water during confinement. I asked my mom, what is red date water made of? She gave me a -.-" expression! Hahaha... me naughty daughter! Me already go "kai kai" for several times liao. Once bb's PD visit, twice jaundice visit at TMC, third jaundice discharge, fourth meeting with salesperson, fifth airport(send), sixth airport(fetch), seventh gynae... think I cannot rmb liao. Hahaha... my confinement abit kelong one. Thinking of watching "golden compass" somemore. XD

It is ard $80+ at TMC... Its good that you all go check it out. I promise you when reached your hospital, then you fixed up the CTG, they will start kicking and moving about. Its like that one, bb naught naughty!

Mel,

I am in my 38th wk and gynae also away (mayb the same one

). Went to Mt a last sun cos feeling very uncomfortable with some discharge. The stand-in by came down and did 30 min CTG. was told that if less than 10 movements within 12 hours and/or contractions, go back to hosp. For that half an hour CTG and him coming down plus using the room etc, abt 115

Hi All,

I have popped on 12 Dec

my boy weighs 3.27 kg and 48cm in length. I opt for c-sec with epi, can witness the whole process, not really scary but waiting for them to stitch me up is quite torturous. I have tried BF today, baby has latched on quite well. will be gng to MT A tmr to do my MRI to cfm whether I can breastfeed.

the worst part of confinement for me is the no washing hair part lor... i love the red date tea though.. dun really miss drinking water.. heehee. same here, i need a haircut badly + facial + manipedi! and i can't wait to go x'mas shopping and eat my sashimi

usually i put my EBM into small bottles and put in the fridge. when i have enough to fill a milk bag to the max, i will consolidate all the cold EBM and pour into the bag before freezing.

I am taking the single bedded so that hb can stay overnite with me. But who knows, we may become neighbours too. Cos judging from my luck the past 2 deliveries, I always ended up staying in the double room due to shortage of single rooms in MAH. So hb always sleep in the hospital bed next to me. Hehe.

Hi all back from mt a .. like what missylan said .. CTG strap on baby moving non stop .. First half an hour no movement until my hubby came and he keep moving .. I tell my hubby baby is trying to get his attention .. My hubby said this attention too expensive!! haha .. Also not very ex .. Spent $60+ only .. Wanted to do ultrasound but nurse insist no need to do .. Keep worrying the cord will tie around his neck cause that happen to my sister .. Gynae will be back on the 16th .. Hopefully able to tahna until he is back .. Anyway thanks all .. Making me feel more secure .. So tired after the drama .. Haha ..

cookiemz, that's a good idea on how to "save" storage bags. I am thinking of how to do it...otherwise, the bags are not cheap manz. Pumped some yesterday, then pour straight into a bag...ack! the bag still have so much space. hahaha...but if we put in the fridge, it lasts only 24hrs right? so means must pump a lot during the day also...

mel, it was the same for me. on exactly week 40 (EDD), I felt less fetal movement. My gal is super active when inside me one...so I had this gut feel that she would want to come out later. But felt less movement, so went KKH. On CTG, wah, heatbeat so strong and so much movement. chey! But gynae wasn't that comfortable. Coz afterall, it's EDD liao mah. So suggested that I induce, since I felt less movement (could be due to the cord round the neck) and it's EDD anyway. So I induced lorh. But she took so long to come out. hahaha...

Thanks for the info. Didnt know that the VE can cause so much bleeding. Luckily it had stopped liao. Thought i'm going to pop soon. But now everything seems to be back to normal.

Really hope that bb can wait until next sat then come out cos gynae still not back yet. Seems like a lot of gynae went overseas during this period. Really don't feel so comfortable with this standby doc.

mt a has different packages so my c sec w epi (2 bedded) was abt $2100. on top of tt still got gynae fee $500, anae fee $500. paid with lady's card so supposed to have 10% discount. waiting to receive the finalised bill from mt a. all in all after medisave i think only fork out a few hundred cash (incl. bb fee too).

MIM don't rent out Ameda for breastfeeding purpose, they rent out for you to test the pump whether you suit it or not. Hmm... Ameda is definitely better than the Medela single pump. Now hor, within 30mins, I can pump over 160ml in the morning, then subsequently 100-150ml every 3 hours. If using the Medela single pump... aiyoh, very tedious!

Think anything with just black, white and red will suit NB. Don't need too fanciful ones... cos NB cannot see any others colours. Buy those with these 3 colours can liao.

eve, have been checking out cot mobiles, like the fisher price ones with the light projector which can project pictures on the ceiling to entertain baby...also with remote so you dont have to get up and restart it every 7 mins or so. good buy i think. the tiny love one looks kinda scary.

I am thinking of just testing the pumps to see if suction is good. Yeah, the website did advise to throw away the breastpump expressed from the demo pump set.
Last time wasted money to buy the Avent Uno Electronic, thinking of using it on one side and the manual one on the other side. Ended up no suction at all. But the manual one works real well for me, thou takes a longer time to pump both sides.
So this time round, thinking of at least testing the suction to get a feel whether the Ameda pump really works for me. Actually, me inclined to get Ameda Lactaline compared to Medela PIS cos of the cost.

Hi sorry to interrupt but Petrina is in labour already. She went to see her gynae and was found to be 5cm dilated so was warded straightaway. she said Mikaela shd be out by 3pm.

Hi mummies, i had popped on 12 dec, Adwin weighing 3.948kg height 53cm natural w epi.

Having difficulty latching him on cos his mouth is small n he's quite lazy to suck for his milk. So now have to mix FM n try to latch him when cry for milk. Tried to express milk but nothing comes out. Hope can establish my supply soon.
