$150 for 3 durains is damn exp. Tat uncle reali go all the way to chop ur hubby. So bad.

I oso having difficulty sleeping so tired. I was given 3 days MC by my gynae to rest @ hme cos the pain @ my plevic is reali damn painful & results me have difficulty walking. She advised me not to walk too muz & rest on bed.

Going to visit her next week for my 36wks appt. Dun know she will extend the MC further cos situtation still the same. BB head down already but yet to engage. juz wondering shld i induce BB out once she reach full term @ 37wks cos reali cant tahan the pain.... BUT MY HUBBY STRONGLY AGAINST IT. Sigh.......

Belle, i oso tot of getting the pyjamas but havent gone there bef to see.

yest went for another check up and bb ard 2.5kg at 36wks. I got a VE and i nearly scream out in pain. ouch! very painful!

no difficulty in sleepin though but i will wake up and pee. used to the peeing liao i thk. even everytime I walk around, the feeling of wantin to pee will come.

hi all,

Today no work so can stay home sleep till crazy! Anyway, just to vent frustrations regarding inconsiderate people... Last evening went East Coast Food Centre to drink coconut juice.. drizzling so was looking for a sheltered seat... Then saw a family about to leave, so waited behind them lor...then when they stood up to leave, this whole family, led by a young man, just walked up quickly and sat down! Wow, treated me like I ate glass one leh!! I was of coz furious but controlled my anger.. thinking I don't want to lose my cool.. usually I'll lash out and fight for my rights... I think my protruding tummy is darn obvious to him but he faked ignorance!

Let's remember to teach our kiddos good manners

Baby monitor : Can I check if this is necessary? Some friends advised me to get, some say not need.. I'm lost...

BB will sleep with MIL for a month after which I'll be taking care of him for 5 months.. Is bb monitor still necessary?

Hi Petrina,

Yes, a birthplan is just a piece of paper where you write out all the things you wand and do not want done during labour cos with all the people and your contractions, it might be chaos. So the birthplan, you can bring with you to the hospital for the nurses so they know what to do.

Phy: Ya i agreed with those inconsiderate pple... MRT also like tt.. usually are those guys/ uncle tt are v v inconsiderate...Seats/ Walking, they dun give way to pregnant ladies.. v poor thing.. always see those ladies tummy bigger than mine.. they also heck care.. see liao.. wanna scold them...

Went for my 38th week checkup yesterday at kkh. Baby is doing ok. Had my first vaginal examination...whoa...pain and intrusive lei! Cannot wait to pop. Baby getting heavier and its so hard to walk and sleep.

Managed to buy the kiddopotamus swaddler from the pharmacy. Its slightly cheaper than those retailing elsewhere. Got it for $28.80 instead of the usuakl price of $29.90

Hi ladies, I'm on mc today. Finally can get some rest!hehe. Yest went for 35wks check-up, bb is already 2.5kg! He grew 0.5 kg in 2 wks.. and I put on 1.5kg. Total gain 9.5kg liao. Doc say bb's head is quite low now. Do you all know whether ur bb is facing up or towards ur butts? I forgot to ask.

I also got my admission letter liao. It only states need enema,pethidine and epidural if in distress. Pethidine is the one jab on the thigh is it? So if I want epi, can no need to jab the pethidine right?

Regarding my strep B infection, doc says need an injection when delivering. He say not drip leh? I gotta kena poke 1 more hole.

He says subsequent pregnancies also need.

Oh, btw.. I just bought thai young coconut at ntuc too. hehe. Tonite wait for hb to chop for me.

Sign, perhaps we pregnant ladies should attach 2 durian husks on each side of elbow.. then elblow our way through the crowd haha.. Also, maybe can pretend to hold tummy and grimace in pain while standing in train carriages and act wanting to sit on the nearest occupied seat.. think the person will react by giving up seat immediately coz fear of being sat on by an 'elephant' or 'hippo' hahhaa.. just joking har.. now we are all so big and thump around... no longer sashaying... haha

is VE really painful? i had one done to me during my first pregnancy which ended with a miscarriage.
i was in emergency room and gynae was checking my cervix...i thought it was more uncomfortable than painful.
maybe i was very distracted...so when your gynae is abt to do VE on you,better think of something else heeheehee
i also didn't feel anything when i did my pap smear checks before...til the nurse got puzzled saying how come i didn't feel anything? hahaha
how good if that happens in labour later

blue lily and linda, how come you ladies got admission letter already? Must ask for it is it? I went for 35wks check up on Monday but doc didn't give me leh.. she only ask me to go for epi if labour is going to be long... if short, then bear with the pain and go through it..

Bluelily... when Dr scan, can see baby face? If so, means baby not facing buttocks lah! Mine's facing the side and based on my last scan he's already very low. Wonder when I do my 36wk scan, baby will be engaged.

Actually, I am really so used to ppl not giving up seat to me N snatching seats.
But I m quite impressed yesterday by a bus driver..he asked a guy to give up a seat for me. This is really the 1st time!
cos everytime I ve to stand at the steps or near to the ezlink tap machine and may find a seat if there's empty ones.

if bb is sleeping in the same room with you, then dun need to buy bb monitor. I was given a set of bb monitor as gift for my 1st born, but only used it recently when we shift him out of our room into his own room when he is 3 yrs old. Anyway, no need to use also cos he will scream the house down everytime he wakes up in the middle of the nite.

there's a whole lot of dec mums having insomia liao hor... i oso want to sign up for sleepless club. now it's my turn. last nite woke up at 3.30am to pee then after that like din really sleep at all. Then this morning, i sms my boss say i'll take urgent leave (my one and only annual leave day left!

); had milk and bread then went back to bed. Just woke up... still feel like zombie.

Think it will be better this time round - better prepared for the intrusion...haha

Can be really painful when gynae stuck the hand in to stretch the cervix ...to try to hasten contraction........

dinut - u suffered miscarriage at which stage? thot VE is usually conducted towards full term?

Linda u mean the hosp preadmission letter? I already pass to hosp long long time ago.

phy, my doc just auto-give me the letter yest. And talk abt when to go hosp loh. Basically, just go hosp direct.. he say no need to call him.

Elaine, all the best for ur delivery tmr! Tight pelvic bone = small pelvic bone? Mine quite small also leh.. I scared will have difficulty.

Baked bean, I dunno can see his face anot leh. Cos all I see is a 2 circles that gynae circle to est his weight. I cant figure out since many wks ago liao. hehe

Linda, my friends would lug their wives and kids along weekly nowadays to play have MJ sessions.. haha, my hubby will babysit their a girl and a boy while I play with the wives... Then the 2 guy friends will play playstation! They call it training my hubby lol

Anyway, we start the kids young, next time they can have a small table to play their own MJ haha..

ya, you should take leave and rest already... it's so tiring in last few weeks...

Dinut, ok, seeing my gynae again next Fri b4 she goes on leave.. will ask her for the letter.. been telling my kiddo to wait till my gynae comes back from leave..don't anyhow anytime decides to see the world haha

Constance, thanks ya.. but I'm very scared of SID... so thought perhaps should buy a bb monitor to monitor bb's breathing and movement... very stressed about you know, bb choking and stuff when I'm not around like in the kitchen and doing housework...

Oh... coz my gynae will scan the whole tummy and tell us what we are looking at. Like you, I can barely figure anything out from the scan liao - not clear anymore.

last year i miscarried early in the pregnancy...week 11 or 12 if nt mistaken...gynae checked to find out whether my cervix was opened coz some people have this (can't remember what it's called...cervix incompetent?) whereby their cervix can't remain closed til bb is about to be born so they miscarry all the time.it was also to check whether i still had chance to keep baby (chance is higher if cervix remains closed) but in the end still lost it...

linda...me too! even though it's only 2D scan i cld see two big holes which are bb's eyes and his lips...it looked like he was grinning,it was more scary than cute! ahahaha

Pierced, think you were caught off guarded so that's why your muscles tensed up? My gynae would usually tell me whenever she wants to do a VE and then chit chat with me to distract me...so I was relax thus no pain lor..

Talking about scans..ya, can't see much nowadays too... I must ask my gynae to let me have a good look at bb's face again

Only once I caught my boy on yawning, luckily I had it videoed

So cute to watch it over and over again

i think so cos during e VE check in my wk37, gynae told me i hve 50-50 chances for natural birth. So me & hb decided to go for c-sec so wk 38 check, bb head not engaged yet so gynae says it s wise to go for c-sec loh ... else he need to force open my pelvic which can be very painful.

My gynae dun do VE during visits one. He only do during when i admit for delivery. Cuz think for him he wants everything to be natural lor...very painful right VE...that's why hor when adminster epidural they do VE how many tims also nvm cuz no pain le...only got feeling hee
