(2007/11) November MTBs

weishy -- me and hubbie had "taller" expectations...hehehe....cos in oct when she went for her last check up she was ard 77-78cm... so these few months she didn't grow much :p

kat -- thanks for info. yea, u r rite....we both tall genes. but hor, she inherited a negative aspect from me.. that is, her torso/body is "longer"...so actually her legs not so long...so not very "proportionate"...=p

ASHM:
U mean the nanny comes to your place to look after Ash? Is this more exp like that?

k@ye:
Envious lei... going to Paris @disneyland.
happy.gif
enjoy yrself.

Kittybride:
Maybe you can try now? I will play with him while he is in the playpen while I sit on the chair. If not, we all will lie on the bed to play and read story books.

If u have a nanny, why not put yr girl with nanny during yr confinement? if not, very tough for u during yr confinement to look aft 2 kids.

Mummies:
Any kiddos wake up a few times a night these days? For the past 2 weeks Isaac has been waking up 3 or 4 times a night e.g. look for pacifier, wants milk, gum pain and etc.

I think he is teething as his gums are swollen. And he has only 9 teeth at the moment. Any mummies experiencing the same time?

Dreamer:
ya. Thank you.

For me, another 5 more weeks to delivery...This time tummy is bigger than the 1st pregnancy. And since got no.1 to take care so more challenging. So I tell myself, 5 more weeks to go.

Morn ladies!

Since Claire came back, no time to go online at nite coz she sleeps, i sleep too!

Hehe, the whole family is going London in May! Told my hubby that once go to London.. I wont pester him to go anywhere else liao! My Mum will be going there earlier with Claire & a fren.. So definitely will go Paris Disneyland!

Now, i need to settle the air tic quick before no seats available coz SQ hvg the promotion till 17th Mar for London, $1219 (but 2 to go)

Weishy, I m not a fan of LV unless u ladies need me to buy.. I can buy for you all lah... Think got 4 adult passports (can buy how many har?) Dunno whether can utilise Claire's passport too! :p

Grace, aiya.. U tempted me again with shoes but i m curbing myself to buy liao...

Rachel, Claire is also teething but so far (keeping fingers crossed) she has not woke up at nite for milk or stuff... But she does will bite the tail of her Pluto to ease her itch.

Michviv: We will be doing a trip throughout NZ for a period of 14 days. Definitely looking forward to it. One of my eyed travel destinations for a long time. Spain is nice too. I went there for my honeymoon. Has a very good mix of everything, between scenery, architecture, beach, shopping. haha...

Rachel & Mummies - Please advise :

Ash slept at 9ish last night, woke up at 11:45PM for milk (gave 8oz but drink 5oz), 2.30am for milk (gave 6 oz finished all) and 4.30am for milk (gave 4oz finished all) and 7am this morning and drank 6 oz. Do you think he is having a growth spurth? He has been waking up for the last few nights and wanted to go out of his room to walk walk... not grumpy though...

Hope this phase will pass soon....

ASHM:: is he eating enough in the day time? Or maybe he's just TRULY hungry. I'm sure it'll pass. don't worry.

Dear mommies, can i ask, is it time to get training pants for our tods now? for potty training? or no need to get training pants de? haha.. experienced mom, any advise? MM? hehe..

K@ye - He has been eating ok lately - dont really keep the food in his mouth for that long already.... So hard to monitor - sometimes he wants milk and sometimes he cannot finish the usual quantity...hiaz.... His intake for yesterday are :

9.30am - oatmeal
11am - Milk 100ml
1.30pm - brown rice with brocoli and fish
4.30pm - Milk 100ml
7pm - Brown rice with minced meat and soup
12midnight - Milk 160ml

Look ok?

ASHM, wow.. 2 meals of rice... Hmm, really growth spurt... somemore breakfast he has oatmeal (very filling one)

But before he goes to sleep, does he drink milk? Claire sure drinks milk (her opium) if not she wont sleep... If she dun drink before she sleeps, she will wake up in the middle of the nite for it! Mabbe try giving Ash milk b4 he sleeps?

K@ye - At some nights if he cries before he sleeps we will give him milk, but if he doesn't cry and sleep on his own, he will wake up around midnight or later for the milk....

So i guess have to increase the quantity of his food / milk intake since he is having the grow spurt....

Grace,
thanks for the info, I like their shoes too but limited sizes left for those sale items..

Weishy,
got sizing chart right??

cactus,
glad to hear you are fine and back to your old self..take care hor..

K@ye:i think now LV no limited liao looooooooo u can take order an d sell them to online mommies can earn back the air tixs mah :p

ASHM:i think the milk intake is too little le....can increase to total a day 450 to 600 la
happy.gif

tinkabel: Which part of Spain did you go to? I only have 1 week so must strategise where I visit. As my whole family is Catholic, we're thinking of going to more religious sites in Spain. Here's the rough plan.

1) Barcelona (3 nights) - including day trips to Monteserrat, Sitjes and Tarragona
2) Madrid (2 nights)- including day trips to Zaragoza and Toledo
3) Valencia (1 night)

What do you think?

Weishy, super risky lah... If i buy LV.. later got headache packing the items not to mention, got custom problem... Unless i mail them from London.. Muahahaa!!!

Will help to get the Mustela shampoo if I managed to see it lah.. Hehe, my plan in London is NO SHOPPING!

Ashm and Weishy, Haha ya sort of like training diapers, to hold their urine temporarily, hmmm. If not what do the wear when toilet training? Cannot be just normal underwear? Aiyo me no idea.

Ashm, I think milk is too little too since he gets up so many times for milk. Or maybe can give him more little treats like cheese and yogurt.. Heee.

Michviv, I actually visited quite a number of places in Spain, cos we went with Contiki for a 14 days tour to Spain and Portugal. Ur intinerary sounds good. Hmm maybe u can try the place where they hv the bull fights. I forgot which city. That's not bad too. I like Ibiza, the islands too.

K@ye hello friend dun worry la....got so many relatives cannot meh and u travel big and small le

If u eveer to buy any expensive items....carry on board dun chk in....when i n streets of paris...hv to be careful.....pickpockets etc.......even london too
happy.gif

Cindy:i think canbuy those training pants from malls (it like terry like material....my niece of 28 months using now) so maybe keep alook out and be patient la cos i dun think our little ones are ready yet le

Re: Travel in Europe
Ya I agree with Weishy. Esp in Spain, cos the streets are really narrow and u might walk into small lanes unknowingly. We had pple follow us before. Also had passer-bys tell us to hold on to our cameras slinged ard our necks, cos pickpockets might cut off the handle. In fact, we were in Xian last year, my friend was holding his camera in his hand just by the strap, a passer-by went past him with a pair of scissors and cut off the strap. Lucky my friend (guy la!) reacted very quickly and caught the camera back but the guy got away.

ASHM: Gd that u manage yr helpers well, else headache. And most impt thing, they take good care of Ash & the family.

And 100ml seems to be not enough for Ash nw that he is walking. E is drinking 180ml every 3-3.5 hrly and most of the time suck till dry. Will be increasing to 210ml for him soon. If Ash usually finishes his 100ml, can try to slowly increase to 150ml and 180ml gradually.

K@ye: So good, go London. And Claire is one lucky tod, having to travel to HK so many times and nw London.

Cindy: I saw many places selling those training pants. Shopping mall/kiddy palace will have. Btw, Today is Taka Baby fair & Isetan sale lei. But u are still "confined" so must guai guai stay home.

ASHM,
i also feel the daytime milk intake can be increased. Here's ZY's stunning appetite:

8:30am - 210ml milk
9:30am - cereal or bread with jam/cheese
12pm - lunch (bowl of rice + vege/fish), then fruits
1:30pm/4pm - mid-afternoon milk feed 210ml + some snack
6pm - dinner (same as lunch if not pasta with meat/vege), then fruits
8:30pm - last milk feed 210ml

We din drop the mid-afternoon milk feed cos she is still drinking everything to the last drop! And this is on top of what she eats, snacks + 3 meals! So best to monitor Ash's eating habits, if he cant eat more, its best to feed him more during daytime then to keep feeding him in the wee hours.

Weishy, more like i m afraid that those bags get scratched in the process!

I booked the air tix liao! Yippe!!! Need to go down to settle Claire's air tix on this weekend too!

Cactus, i also think Claire is very lucky.. Well, my Mum also worries alot of stuff abt her... In the end hor, I think heck just go & when take things as it is when it happens.

On milk feeds, Claire is drinking at least 210ml 3 things a day!

Good for you k@ye. Cos SIA extended the promotion till 17 March. Org it was only up to 8 March, so we die die had to book our NZ air tickets by 8 March (ie last Sat). Difference between price now is S$2... Haha...

Tinkabel, yalor.. I was telling my Mum that she is lucky... For my air tic, the difference is S$11 only...

I think after this London trip, will take a long time before going anywhere else! Hehee...

Now letting my Sis to do the planning for the trip!

K@ye haha... Ya somemore ticket is 1 mth open jaw right? Direct flight somemore. Oh ya u guys shd consider Scotland. I loved that place a lot. U can try those YHA type of budget travel. Travel in small group, quite nice. Must be such a good time to go to London now since pounds has dropped 30%. U shd watch the market and change. I think now drop back to 2.12.

Grace, zzz,
yr actions very fast ah.. i like some of the designs but size so small at 5. Still, managed to find another one that i like.
happy.gif

Michviv,
hv u been to St Peter's Basilica? Even tho i am not a Catholic, but fell in love with that place the moment u stepped in. So grand and so awesome!

Tinkabel, not open jaw leh!! Hehe, but direct flight on A380! Hehe, sounds very mountain tortoise hor!

I told my Sis that Paris Disneyland, Eiffel Tower & Lourve is my Must go lah! She suggested Ireland to my hubby coz he loves to drink beers. Ok, will keep Scotland in mind too! Any other places to suggest?

Ya, must monitor the pound rate! Then change when its the lowest! Yippe yaya! May, pls come quickly!!

k@ye: Hmm I would suggest Nice if u have more time, but that is down south of France. You can find pebbled beach there. Else, u shd also consider brussels (ie belgium) since it is just next to France. U might want to check out how u want to travel, ie whether by budget flights or train. Cos if u want to buy train passes, I think it is only for sale outside Europe. For western Europe, cheaper to get passes. Eastern Europe can go there buy then buy tickets cos they dun use Euro...

training pants:
i'm also thinking of getting for G. cos now we trying to train him, like before he has his bath, we will strip him and ask him to pee pee and he will pee..then last Sun at my MIL's place, she made him wear pull-up but will bring him to the toilet to pee every 3hrs and amazingly he peed everytime..so that pull-up he was wearing lasted the whole day..haha. Just yday, when he wanna poo at my mum's place, he went to get the potty for my mum in the kitchen and told her "ng ng"..so ah..we think he is ready to be potty train liao..

Tinkabel: Thanks for your advice. My mother also handed me some brochures and ask me to plan. Macham tour agency! Can't help it since my mother has a CEO mentality. haha. Good training for me at multitasking.

lazykat: =)I have been to Rome twice in my life - once when I was 14 and once when I was 15. I will never forget those trips and I plan to bring my hubby someday to let him get the sense of awe. I still remember the snow that was falling whilst we gathered in St Peter's square for the then Pope John Paul to give his blessing. One of the most beautiful and moving experiences for me. Glad the place was able to touch you as well. haha.

ASHM: I agree that the milk feeds may not be enough. Why don't you try to increase gradually and see if Ash can finish?

Ethan's schedule:
7:30am - 250ml milk + oatmeal/organic cornflakes/
11am - lunch (porridge/pasta/macaroni)
Midmorning naptime - 180 ml milk
2pm - fruits
PM nap - 180ml milk
5pm - dinner (same as lunch), then fruits during our dinnertime
8-8:30pm - last milk feed 300ml

Sometime, E even demands milk at mealtimes so we limit it to 150ml each time.

ASHM,
I think Ash is going thru' some growth spurt, cos' a couple of weeks back G also like that. He had 200ml milk at 9pm, 11pm, then 4am, 7.30am..i nearly pengsan. It lasted abt a week and now back to normal liao. Like what some mummies said, prob can up his milk intake during the day, but I think Ueno did advise that now our todds dun need that much milk, shld feed them more solids instead.

poissons - thanks for the heads up - good one on the solids though....

Looks like G is ready to go thru the potty train! Good for him and good for you mummy! Every morning the nanny will put Ash on the toilet bowl and try to get him to ng ng but he will just move around and want to come down. So i told the nanny its ok try again the next day...

michviv - Wow Ethan last milk feed is 300ml - doubt ash can finish man....got to try to increase his milk intake. Are you also giving NAN 3 to Ethan?

Tinkabel, thanks.. Will keep that in mind!

Poissons, that;s good! can save on diapers liao! Haha!

That's wat i tried to train Claire but she has a mind of her own... Now very funny, she will run away from us if she sees us going to put the cloth diapers on her! Best part is she will pee on the spot & will give u an innocent look like telling u, "Mum, i dun mean to pee on the floor!"

Poissons,
G really smart. Gd to go with the flow since he is kinda ready. Till now, my dirty gal wont even complain even if she poo-ed!

Weishy, hehe.. Its a good way to earn back air tix!

Kat, i think hor Claire & ZY can shake hands on eating... Claire eat till puke also want to eat...

Cindy, so sorry i may nt be the best person to answer ur question cos my son was toilet trained in the CC. i really think the teachers were good. within a week we sent him there, he could go diaperless eversince.

Some kids are able to 'express' that they wan to pass urine or motion BUT only in the daytime. It may be more difficult to train them to go diaperless for the night and only when they are ready n able to hold their bladder.
For my son the transition was smooth. As for Mischa i havent started her on toilet training yet. but the other day she was able to tell my mum that she want to 'da4 bian4'. my mum was amazed, n brought her to the potty. hehhee but nothing came out!

k@ye, ya i think u should do the spree le...maybe 2 weeks before ur trip. but be prepared for the overwhelming response...having said that....KINDLY RESERVE A SLOT FOR ME!!!!
but can pls dun charge me handliing fees? whahhaaaa
TIA

weishy/k@ye: how to earn back air tick? via exchnage gains or the tax refund? I mean the mummies will know the prices mah? I mountain tortoise haha.

poissons,
G very advance! good boy!!
my gal saw the potty will start to wail n pat her chest - she scared leh... dun know y. the potty i have is replica of our toilet bowl leh.
maybe shd those kiddy chair type instead... but she saw the whole she scared liao. aiyoh, dun know how to toilet train her!

Haha, Tinkabel mabbe earn the handling charges lor.. but i think must get alot of bags to earn back my air tix.

MM, can help u buy if i see it lah... no handling charges but i want hairclips for claire in exchange can??? :p

Frankly speaking, i wont organise the spree coz I dun want to be pressurised lor.. esp i m going on a hols!

Kitty, Claire also got one period she see potty... Screaming & crying.. Now hor, she will bring the potty to you and she will be willing to sit on it... But whether she will pee or poo is another matter!

[email protected] how abt i swop hairclips with the price of the bags! whahhaa.... joking la.
oh yes sure....we shall discuss this in details nearer the date!

tinkabel,. ya by earning handling charges lo. its very transparent in the BP thread...n ppl willing to pay cos aft deduct here n there still way cheaper than local boutiques. but only for big ticket items i supppose.

what brands are u into? oh if u nt a fan of LV, can also check out longchamp. i tink the price diff is quite alot.

MM: Me into LV and Gucci. I was thinkg go NZ and see see. Since exchange rate for NZ drop so much. But hvnt seen anythg I really interested now leh. But hubby with me la, so sure nag and nag then I can't buy. sianz. haha
