MM, i can't imagine the amount of hairclips swopped with 1 LV bag! 
Me no particular brands lah but more like the design + functionality... Things i like abt branded bags is their design & material used is good.
My sis told me that she is getting a longchamp bag as my birthday gift. So sweet of her!

K@ye:actually oki la as long as its those big items....if bag is euro 1200 then detax is about 16%....few of those can earn back the tixs already mah provided nothing much to carry la. longchamp is cheap there

Mummies, i m toying with the idea of getting a helper (maid) soon AGAIn. but the tot of 'sharing' the maid with my mum i very sian.
the previous maid i 'split' the expenses with my dad. So in a way, we had to choose a maid that we both like cos my mum also hv a say.
this time i intend to pay for the maid myself. BUT it doenst mean that i dun care abt what my mum comments too right?
the problem now is that she has no faith in Married/ Fili/ experienced maid. She prefers single/Indo/new maid.well i would prefer an eng-speaking maid more n with experience.
I hv spoken to some mummies as well as maid agencies n most of them told me that inexperienced INDO maid usually/mostly do not speak ENG.
my past experience tells me so too. hb said to choose a helper whom i can communicate with cos she wil be staying with us.
But i foresee the helper will be at my mum's pl almost everyday. So in a way, i m stuck cos if they cannot see eye to eye or cant communicate, another set of probnlems will surface. Due to this conflict, we didnt get a replacement maid aft my previous one left during my confinement.
any ideas to share?

k@ye, can la. U can find some cheap and nice B&B or hostel (for 2 per room). Then can try mah. haha. Made in Paris, so romantic. My both babies made in China leh, I always tell pple, that and that it's the same with most of the other stuff sold in the world haha. Oh BTW, London's weather is erratic too, so u may want to make sure Claire is properly dressed for the weather. May in London can still be quite chilly at less than 15 to 20 deg...

Just reading through all the posts..
About toilet-train, MIL train my son in less than 1 week..heheeh...
what we do is every morning, after breakkie, bring him to sit at potty or we bought a small toilet seat cover for the toilet bowl so he poo poo there straight, save trouble to wash potty.
Then after a few days, he will press to his diaper to tell us whenever he wans to poo/pee.
Even when I went HK 2 weeks ago, I brought along the portable toilet seat cover and he did the same over there...
But then, dun rush into potty training if your bb is not ready, cos last time i had a niece gets UTI after her mum tried to potty-train her at 2++ yr old. She rather holds her pee than use potty..poor gal...suffer in pain..

MM: I also prefer new indo helper. My helper is Indo/New/Single and worst still she is a single child w/no siblings at home. Initially we were worried tat she'll not be used to working, but was surprised. She cld adapt rather well. And i must say her ang moh not too bad. But nw i'm starting to worry coz her contract ends in Nov, if she doesnt want to continue, i'll have to get a replacement again. I guess the very least is to get one graduated from high school, junior school (Primary sch) ones most of them cannot make it.
Ya, Myannmar helper shld b a gd choice. But then again, communication with yr mum will b a problem since they cant speak malay. If yr mum speaks english then it'll be perfect.

Kat, u so slim of course ZY inherited your genes of high metabolism rate lah!!!
Claire was 11.1kg before she got sick in HK and yesterday we weighed her, she was 10.8kg... Alot of ppl commented that she dun looked like 17mths more like 24mths... Usually i just smiled coz i quite pantang...

Kat, coz usually they say she chubby or what... Then shit, she falls sick... n so coincident, it happens most of the time... So i diam diam...
ZY is tall.... I tell u when i went to enrol Claire in the childcare centre. The person in charge asked me whether she is on BM coz Claire is taller than most of the toddlers in their tods class. But as compared to the Nov babies, Claire is like small sized!
So my conclusion is, alot of Nov Mummies + Daddies are tall & slim...

jekartik, i also wish kaira takes 2 naps...but she kind of adjusted herself to take only 1 nap a day recently. and like claire, no matter how late she sleeps she wakes up ard 8+/- am everyday!

Claire wont cry if we put her to bed early but she will go play with her saliva, bite any soft toy in her reach before she is willing to go to sleep.. Now my "doggies bite" tactic dun work... Must think of other animals liao...

MM: My Indo helper is also new and inexp. She'ss ok for me. Most impt to me is my mum is hapy with her. She is ok for english, but worse come to worse, i will ask my mum to tell her what i want. She can read very well though. Hardworking.
I think all countries also got gd and bad. my hb's coll has a Mymar who was gd at beg then now cos say she dun need the money anymore, so wanna go hm liao then eveeryday argue with the 7 yr old son and throw his toys down the flat when angry.
So its pure luck i guess.

when he was a baby, i always sleep him around 8pm. so i think that's why he still sleep around 8pm. but for tonight, he sleep late, around 10pm. cause we went to vivo until around 8pm, then he sleep @ taxi. hahaha.....
he is almost always wake up around 7am. but, if he wake up around 6am, then sleep again, then he will wake up around 9am, but so far only 2 times only.
when we went to vivo today, he looked water in the top floor, then he ran away from us and go to water until all his pant wet. then my husband take him out, he was laugh. but then try to go in again. so naughty boy.
he likes swimming. so thingking will bring him to WWW but always raining, poor boy

MYR Helper - I agree with smilemum that sometimes its due to luck when you get a helper / nanny. For Ash's nanny, we have to adjust her english during her first month with us and she also had to adapt to our culture. I even got some people who are also from MYR to speak to her in their language to make suure she is ok and to make sure she will tell me for whatever difficulties she is facing. The efforts paid off and she is so far so good.
MM - i personally prefer Phil helpers cos they can speak better english and cleaner....just my opinion ya....

After her baby massage on Tue, she did not cough at all at night while sleeping. Her cough is much better but still hv not recovered. She was also given some med in a sachet to put on her tummy at night to "dewind". However we need to tape it across her tummy and the tape cannot be removed & stick onto her skin. In the end, she cried so much cos have to detape her and till now still hv 4 red tape marks on her
