Hi mummies,

saw some discussions on shoes.
Shld our tods be wearing soft or hard soled shoes now??
A has outgrown 1 pair of adidas and 2 pairs of shoo shoo, the rest of the shoes I have are hard soled, dunno if can let him wear...

Hi Plim,

regarding hands me down shoes. i heard that we shouldnt be letting kids waering hands me down shoes and the shoes would already hve the shape-mould of the previous owner. As such, it will not be good for the child whom inherited the shoe as the feet is still trying to grow.

Not too sure how true is it la..

Weishy: Aiyo, you have no idea how many questions I get from relatives on Ethan's lack of hair. haha. Am planning to shave him bald again after CNY. His hair has grown much better after we shaved his head 2 months ago but he cried buckets when they brought out the shaver.

Kitty: haha! You can remember that incident ah. Leaves quite an impression. Now, his favourite word is "girl"! *faints* I ask him, "Ethan, are you a boy or girl", he will smile and say "Girl"! Then when I say, "no! You're a boy!" He will look sad and say "Boy". haha. Go get a nice Cheongsam for Chloe!

Poissons: Yay! Glad you got a pair of shoes. G might find a little strange to walk with shoes vs on the floor cos the feeling is very different so hold his hand and bring him for walks as much as you can. =)

Cindy: Yay! Travis can walk!!! Go bring him for to gai-gai! =) Will be much easier for you then. hehe.

zzz: when starting out, I let my boy use soft-soled shoes, later, when they are walking better, I switched to harder soled shoes.

Playdays: Mummies, did you get the term planner yet? I just received it from them yesterday, let me know if you want me to send it out to you?

true or not har? i got 2 pairs soft sole hand-me-down for C but seldom let her wear though. and will also give hers to my niece who's now 6m. but mostly lightly worn as most of the time, let her wear socks coz she dislike wearing shoes!!

Hehe, me blur mama... Actually, i dunno about the soft or hard soled shoes. I only know that if they hv not learned how to work properly, the shoes should be soft and once they know how to walk with confidence or run. Must get shoes to support their ankles liao!

Ya, me also loves Hazel's thighs.. See the photos liao really want to bite! Poochi, Hazel also got nice hair...

Heheh, i prefer a tiger baby regardless gal or boy.. Coz i think they know how to protect themselves!

PDS: Photo they used in class the last time I was there was 3R or 4R. For babies to "paste" on the board like an identity chart or attendance board during class so they recognize themselves.

Kitty: Haha...I think my hubby is oblivious! He really likes boys. But he doesn't know only! Ha! Girls are the best! Aiya, I'm open to any gender la, as long as they are healthy.

cindy/poissons: congrats. U will be assured that once they start that 1st few steps unassisted, they will start to walk really fast. At that point, u cant even stop them. Matt's starting to run now... Maybe you can try doing a drill with ur boys. My hubby let Matt hold one of his fingers and then I will be in front of Matt and then we go "left, right, left... left, right, left" and we walk a few rounds in the living room. Matt quite enjoys it and gets really amused when we first started.

Yany, your gal looks so grown up, nothing like a 14 month old. I love her hair!!!

My niece who is 6 months older than K has shorter hair but its growing nicely. No worries… they all grow in time to come . Been so busy with work and kids, hardly have time to bake 

Took off day for 2nd Jan since my oldest going to primary school. Took the chance to make macaroons…. Success yet again. Very happy now coz looking as good as store bought …. Hehe (tooting my own horn)

size 38 is what ah? I wear size 7 shoes after delivery. Last night, was able to fit into size 6-6.5. Now, confirm size 7 or else 8. When I was preggers, I was nearly bursting out of 8! Thank goodness all that water retention went away.

Tinkabel: Wah! That's surprising considering your size. =) How's pregnancy so far? Any morning sickness?

michviv, thks for well regards. No MS so far. *Keep fingers crossed* Just feel more hungry at times. Dunno if it's becos of baby or it's winter in SH. But I am watching my weight this time, cos winter hor, very easily put on loads of weight. Me still havent see gynae yet. Waiting for another 2 weeks when I am in Week 7 then can detect heartbeat at the same time.

aiyoh, the sacrifices we made for our little ones are endless hor... my feet also increased 1 size to size 7.5-8 since pregger w C but lucky this time round, it is rather stagnant... i dun dare to think in the coming 2 mths when the water retention starts to kick in, i may hv to wear bigger sizes! (not that i'm complaining if got chance to get NEW shoes! hoo hoo...)

lately C also started to cry buckets when we left her at the nanny's... she KNOWS oredi... when we say "bye" and wave her hand, straight away her face like cry baby liao and kept stretching her arms to us! sigh... always makes me SIGH big time when i'm on the lift down, heart pain lor.

k@ye: Ya, I think the separation anxiety phase is coming back somewhat. Ethan also gets like that when me and hubby leave home recently. Must keep reinforcing that we are going to WORK. Sometime, Ethan hears that word and understands and guai guai goes to his toy corner and play by himself.

Any mummies going on holiday soon? We are off to Club Med Bintan on the 19th! Yay! Counting down liao. So exciting...

Oh, just a warning to all mummies who are going to take their toddlers for MMR jab soon. Please standby panadol and ibuprofen if necessary cos the fever can go up really high! Think Ethan finished nearly half to 3/4 bottle of panadol and we nearly had to open the ibuprofen cos his fever rose to 38.8. For Ethan, his immunization fever only appeared 1 week after the jab and lasted for 4 days. Must keep on feeding panadol and sponging! So I say first - WARNING!!! (Think the MMR jab is more potent than other jabs cos they are injected with live viruses.)
