i m using pink. she is from the baking thread. She's so good with her hands and most of all her charges are reasonable. So far those who quoted me for a 3D HK cake asked for sky high prices.
These few days have been MIA for a while cos busy preparing for 2 kiddos bday....wow making cakes for children's bday is really no small feat. jus the preparation already took me a few days...but i m glad the MMF figurines turned out quite well...now crossing my fingers for Fri to come-my son's 5th bday celebration in school...hope all goes well.

Die, i've yet to book E's birthday cake coz my gal friend said she'll take care of it more than a month ago but she din update till nw. I dare not ask also coz her kiddos were down w/serious flu+fever during her recent trip to HK. How how? Can anyone recommend?

Her son got high fever, diarrhoea e.g. a few time a day, got blood in the stool. But luckily he has been discharged from the hospital and now recovering...phew... really stress when kiddo are sick.

gemini, I am giving isaac enfalac since birth plus supplement with breast milk till now, as I freeze them but going to finish liao. I have upgraded him to stage 2 now. And stage 2 can drink till 1.5 yrs according to pd.
And I did ask him abt giving vitamins but accoring to him, as long as bb is growing well and eating well, don't need to give vitamins wor

Actually i'm tempted to switch to Gain IQ, cos yday juz received a call from Abbott and this lady was telling me that Enfa now uses not 100% vege fats so bb diff to digest..blah blah..so she's giving me a sample tin to try out..So..still in dilemma...my mum was telling me that since he's been taking enfa all the while..so juz let him continue...so dunno leh.

My colleague told me closest to breast milk and since I'm not breast feeding so I thought just gave it to my gal at that time. And she's ok drinking it so far.
However, Nan HA only has up to 2 and the nurses at my gal's PD told me that might need to change after 1 if not too much protein for the baby. (different age different needs, that's what they say)

i've ordered from cupcakemomma before..think i've shared here before that her courier man delivered the wrong cupcakes to me and i was quite upset and she never really bothered to reply me when i sent her a feedback email. I would say the designs looks better than the taste..and it's quite small in size, that explains the price

I was at a friend son's bday last week. they ordered from ecreative the catering. I find the dishes unusual. And not bad too. the dishes arent so much like the usual buffet stuff.
The chicken wing not so nice though as it's hard when cold. The fishballs are nice. The curry nice also. I had the fried rice which is not bad.

ladies, just had my boy's bday bash on 18 oct, for chi bday. pls pls dun go to pine garden... i got a nightmare coz of it... everything went ok except the cake.
design din really follow what i wanted, delivery was late and the worst thing is, i specifically said NO ALCOHOL, the woman still tell me the taste will be diff, but i said never mind so she put it down on the invoice in black and white. but the blackforest came with alcohol! in the end, more than half my guests din eat the cake, coz got many many kids and old pple dun wanna eat. 2/3 of the layer not even given out, of the 1/3 given out, most left cake behind. made me so so paiseh... got kids want to eat cake, but the parents got to bluff them / coax them lor.
i distributed the top layer then realised 2nd layer got alcohol. coz can smell and taste. then i exclaimed, coz i specifically said no alcohol, coz i can't eat also... then my guests heard and many pple din want the cake lor.
very very upset, coz i and bb also din get to taste. we distributed the cake for others first, in the end, we both din get to eat. many guests din get to eat. most of the cake left there, really feel sayang leh... bought 3 kg, 2 kg of blackforest, think we wasted like 1.5 kg... we left the party with the cake still left there, hope pple din throw it away or else even more heartache... dun wanna know...
i emailed to complaint, only 1 call to say they'll investigate and come back to me. 2 full days liao, still no news. very upset. give up hope liao lah. next time wun go back liao. dunno how come can have so many cock ups. the rest i can still tahan, but the alcohol in the cake, i really very angry.
only lucky thing is i got another cake for my boy;s actual bday... from glad. so i'm consoled a bit lah.
