ueno, welcome back! 100kg!! My US/Canada trip, the hard case was 70kg and I got a dressing down from the airport staff. You are better!!

thanks! i brought only 1 hard case, the rest r cabin bags n soft bags. my hard case weighed 35kg. i actually brought 12 bags so didnt shop till i drop cos still have 1 spare bag. Haha...HB almost fainted when i loaded up the bags.
 
Langlao, the airport staff so fierce one. I think if they meet my sis. They confirm will die.

Just sent my sis off last nite at London. She is going to London to work for 2 yrs. Before she left, she emailed SQ for another extra 10kg excess baggage. Wow SQ gave her alot of excuses for not granting the extra 10kg. She managed to get her 10kg by shooting them down.

Then last nite at the check in counter, her checked in luggage was 30.6kg. The counter staff asked her, "Do u know that 1kg of excess baggage is $70?" My sis looked at her and passed her that email for the excess baggage. Then, the staff checked and said "ok, its updated in the system."

I think if they dun grant her. Got another drama to watch! I really saluted my younger Sis, she can get things done and not afraid to act bitchy to get it done...

btw, i know u hv relatives in HKG and u frequently visit them as well. just wana check if u've tried getting china tourist visa while in HKG. if yes, how soon can it get 'approved' and roughly how much to pay. and most imptly, where to get it.

Sporeans no need VISA to go to China one!!! I remember last time, my cousin got the China Tourist visa within 3 days but cant remember how much to pay. MAbbe u can check out the HK tourism board website, they might have info on it!

Just got a note from my travel agency.

"With effect 19 Sep 2008, China will reinstate the visa-free facility for Singapore ordinary passport holders intending to travel to China for a period of 15 days or less."

The mickey mouse candle I got from your spree... I think i drop on the floor and the ears and feet broke. Sob sob.. sad lah. Cannot use for my kid party liao. Anyway, I think i use another No 1 candle instead ba.

I will try to glue it back and use it on his chinese birthday instead. Going to buy a cake just to use that candle :p

Thinking of bringing my kid to some resort at the end of the year. But now Thailand so messy, not too sure if I should book or not.

Can I join? I am from Dec 07 MTB but bb decided to pop earlier, so he was born on 18th Nov. I find the development of my bb is closer to Nov 07's bbies.

my total baggage allowance is 100kg. so by checking in 8bags i didnt have to pay excess. i carried 2 bags on board with me, if i check in those then i would have to pay.

that sounds like a very fulfilling shopping trip, i hope u did get some stuffs for yrself too. It's amazing how we can keep buying for our little ones and neglect our own wants. I checked out yr blog recently, and i muz say yr new stroller is really nice! How much did u pay in USD? I also tempted to get a lightweight Maclaren too, but L will guai guai sit in it now that he can walk?

thanks! i like the stroller v much! i paid 325us including tax. Yup, he sits there guai guai while i shop non-stop. hehe.. he will walk when i take him out.

mine worse.. will stand up in her stroller the moment we put her in, cos mine not the 5-point harness type. Ends up the stroller becomes super mega trolley bag.. Me not so into diamonds leh.. but maybe i will consider watch.. will go shop around.. kekeke

L so co-operative, hee. Mine lazy to attempt to walk, tho she is a super crawler. End up we got to carry her while we shop.. impossible to shop!

Claire also will stand up in her stroller but i bo chap her only. Sometimes, we put her in the supermarket trolley.

there were times when he made noise n also wanted to stand up, i just ignore him n quickly buckle him up n go. once i push the stroller he's ok.

seems like gd reason to buy a new stroller with 5 point harness.. but i think she will make so much noise that i will pai seh and carry her out.
 
Kat, quoting my Mum's words of wisdom, "Ignore her if her noises are not very loud. Let her get used to it."

It works.
 
Kat, I also thought its a good excuse to get another one. But like you when my son make too much noise I will quicky carry him out.

ueno, I also try to ignore him like what K@ye mentioned "if his noise is not too loud." Cos as long as the stroller is moving, he is still fine. Meaning bring him out, I can only do window shopping.

mine is a very loud baby lor.. in carseat can scream her lungs out liao. Tho i am quite used to heads turning around when in restaurant, but really kill any shopping mood, with a screaming bb

K@ye and kittybride:ya sgp passport holders no need VISA for china but.........due to olympics......we need le actually all need....i read from the web site says from 19th sept no need ,tried to call but no answer....maybe can try calling again :p

If single entry should be less than $60,need few days.can make it at the travel agent or china embassy which will be faster and cheaper i guess.....
