your bb at your mum's place and you at home or working? when i used to work, whatever free time, i will rush home to see bb and once i am home, they will throw the bb to me and i am stuck with bb liao, so as long as i am not at work, i am expected to take care of bb lor and once my boy sees me, he also expect me to carry him and stick to him and if he does not see me, he can guai guai play alone, sigh......

happy, I work from home - helping hubby in his ID biz. When i need to rush drawings or meet clients or do my crafts, i will send Mischa to my mum pl. My son is in full day childcare. in the evening will pick my son up and head to my mum pl for dinner and fetch Mischa. This is my typical day
weekends i will make it a pt to take care of them myself unless i need to meet up with clients. But strictly no hobby-time for me on weekends.
Since working from home, my time is rather flexi. i can bake/cook and laze ard too..hehehehe...then weekend is like madness for me. i enjoy this balance cos i admit i cannot make it as a SAHM 24/7. i believe SAHM also needs ME-time, otherwise its very unhealthy. Some mummies i know can do that. everything is ard the baby/kids but nt for me.

Actually i just gave a fe small small tiny bits of cake from pola to cailyn.. she loves it.. i know i shd not give her but thot of giving her to try the food coz she is tiny bb.. doesnt put on much weight..
Trial Gym:

U might want to watch it cos egg white may cause allergies. My niece is allergic and it was really troublesome. Cant eat a lot of egg stuff. So better to avoid giving certain foods too early. See this article

mambobb, need my help? baby non-slip clips are those snap clips. good for fine thin hair and small to medium bows. but nt good for thicker hair,and not suitable for big bows or big designs.
Alligator clip nt suitble for fine thin hair, but suitable for reasonably thick hair, can also add non-slip foam lining for better grip. Hope that helps!

Catherine, yes agree ith Tinkabel. if not sure, better to leave eggs and other high protein stuff till later. IT doesnt matter if bb cannot get to taste their bday cake.i tell u they wont remmeber a thing! like i shown my son his bday cake pics, he couldnt remember anything but only his 3rd bday!
my mum babysitted a girl who is super allergic to food that contains eggs. she will flare up with tiny red dots the next moment she took anything with eggs. so really hv to be careful

i regretted starting my son too early with stuff like fries etc...hiaz...when he was 2+ he became so fussy with food.

Hello... wow. all mummies trying to bake. I still dun have time to bake so buying the mooncakes and stuff. Any of u mummies staying around Bishan area? I was thinking of inviting some of ur kiddos to my place or we can have a little picnic in the park and have a little mini lesson ourselves. I attended some of the classes like Little Gym and Gymboree and read up a bit on the learning and development of our little ones. At 10 months, they are enjoying watching others at play although they still enjoy parellel play best. They like to have some interaction with other babies at this stage but any kind of formal teaching is too structured for them. Anyone keen? I can conduct the storytelling and we can get some art materials for them to explore. I was thinking we can start on "teaching" them about textures. We can attempt to do that, but the babies might not cooperate. If anyone's keen, I can draw up a 'lesson plan' and try to see it works. This is trial and I'm just trying to find company for Javier.
As for crayola, I will be starting the spree to hit USD 250 by weekend. Seems like not may of u are keen?
Birthday: I will just do the BD at home. We want the convenience that baby can just sleep and be comfy anytime he wants, although its big big mess and we've gotta clean up.
Cake: I ordered a cake for 50 from Glad cos I dunno how to bake a cake and wanted a pretty cake for picture's sake. I fed my baby tiramisu that day... just a bit. Cos its my friend's bd and he was making so much noise when i was eating and wanted to snatch from me. so i fed him some.

Langlao, wow.. How come so cheap? Mabbe the BP lugged the cereal back... coz the cereal costs only AU$1.99. I remit back AU$170 to my colleague for 39 packets of cereals + shipping. That works out to be SG$6. Nvm lah, its okie.
I m just trying to sell it off. If not, at most i pass some to Claire's current infant care center and ask them to polish it off for me.

Anyway, the balloons hor.. if too troublesome, can get Poissons contact to do it for us lah!
Just mabbe the banners & party hats coz i think no need partyware as our babies can't eat properly & wont know anything abt it... At most, they will just EAT the partyware!
Gillian, the Crayola spree dun hit US$250, very risky... I m worried abt the 7% GST slap.
