k@ye, wow why did u buy so much of the cereals? Mischa only managed to finish 3 packs of RAfferty's and now totally on porridge only..hehehe...ya i paid abt S$3+ per pack to my fren who got it bk for me too. i was surprised its so cheap
 


S@l, Claire loves this brand of rice cereals and she can eat alot on this. That's y i asked my colleague to buy 39 packets for me. Plus that time, she can't really eat 2 meals of porridge. That's y i buy so much!
 
Langlao, i think this organiser lug the items back if not she gets the item via sea. Sea freight is cheaper but takes longer time to reach.

langlao, K@ye, no need to cut the baby up. cos most likely it's gonna be made with fondant. frankly even MMF doesnt taste nice...a little bit is ok..but gues no one will be keen to eat the 'baby', maybe can ask them to make it smaller...

sometimes i wonder why i try so hard to master my fondant skills..cos so far i hv been tearing off the fondant from those cuppies from my fren's parties! LOL....

yah agree tat bb wun rem/know a thing. but i can imagine him salivating when we r eating his BD cake. he really has a BIG appettite! we have to keep reminding the infantcare center NOT to overfeed him. even for plain water, he will just keep drinking & drinking if it's fed thru spoon! *pengz*

btw, this is baby Jovan's most recent routine. he is downing 1L of milk everyday! no wonder my fren said he's a DRINKER! hahaha
7am Wake Up
8am 240ml
930am Bath
10am Nap 1-1.5hr
1130am Lunch (1 bowl of brown rice porridge with veg & fish/chicken + 2 tbsp fruit puree + water)
230pm 240ml then Nap 1-1.5hr
530pm Dinner (1 bowl of rice/oatmeal cereal with/without FM + water)
830pm 280ml then Sleep
Midnite 240ml

Claire has started on infantcare already? so fast! we drag for v long before sending Jovan to infantcare. how is she coping? did separation/stranger anxiety kick in? Jovan cant sleep v well at infantcare. either it's b/c it's too noisy or he wans to play.

i still cant decide wat to get for Jovan's BD party leh. sianz...

butter cream/fresh cream icing always taste better. However, fondant is more versatile and can be moulded to anything you want.... limited only to the imagination! I personally don't like to eat fondant as I find it too sweet but kids seem to like it.

Wow..your boy is really drinking alot of milk! My boy drinks the most abt 650ml daily only..with 2 times porridge. Baby Jovan must be heavy weight now

Me only can go down during weekend. So this is the time slot available:
Sat: 10.25 - 11.10am / 2.15pm - 3.00pm
Sun: 2.00 - 2.45pm / 4.10 - 4.55pm

Wow jovan is still drinkg a lot of milk. Matt has drastically cut down already. He used to be taking a max of 1L when he was still on total milk. Since we started feeding porridge for lunch and dinner, he only takes 3 times milk, and only max 150ML each time. And some times cannot even finish. But he's finishing his bowl of porridge, so we thought it is ok.

tinkabel,same here Mischa also taking abt 3-4 times milk a day. in which daytime is only once at my mum pl in between 2 feeds of porridge.

in the early morning i latch her and night time 2 feeds thru BF too. i guess she is drinkning much lesser than 1L.

Mummies who are still giving total BM (besides porridge feeds),any plans to intro FM to replce 1-2 feeds?

I m still contemplating if i should start soon cos a fren jus warned me that she had a hard time introducing FM to her TBF bb at 8mths. he was on milk strike....i worry abt this, bt i wish to cross the 12mth mark on giving TBM. really dilemma here.

both my boys were on TBF and what I did was introduce formula with BM. I must say they took to formula well. Planning to start Kyra when she reaches 12mth mark as well as I do not have as much milk as with the 2 boys

Cat: Yr boy is drinking alot huh and it's 3hrs interval. My boy is drnking abt 200ml of milk each time and 2 porridge feed + snacks (biscuits/ bread & fruits) in between. Total FM intake each day is abt 750ml.

Gillian: Am interested in yr class too, i'm staying near Old Airport Rd, can i join?

Birthday Cake: Have yet to order. 3D or 2D? Look or taste, so difficult to compromise. How?

hahaha. Claire is no push-over! Jovan likes to ka1 jiao1 (hokkien) other bbs by rocking them when they are lying in their rocker. luckily Jovan not same center as Claire. else he'll come home with bite-marks! oh got 1 bully in Jovan's class, he is 15months & came in on same day as Jovan. on 1st day, he went ard pinching all the babies to tell them tat he's a big brother!

he's not heavy-weight - ard 9.1kg at 9 months (going 10 months this sun). am i over-feeding him huh? if i dun him enuff milk esp at night, he refuse to ZZzz!
 
k@ye/Catherine: Did you stay thru out the whole full day with ur bb at the care center on the 1st day? how many days they will get used to it? I need to send Cailyn to care center when she is over 18mths and me scare she dont want to stay there.. so need to take leave to company her for few days at the center till she used to it..

Matt likes to pinch us too, on our hands and necks. When I hug him to sleep in bed, he sleeps on his side and his free hand will be usually stroking me. When he feels my neck, he likes to poke his nails in. My mum says he is very "hei1 xin1". Now my mum pinch him back lightly on his neck whenever he pinches her, and he smiles at her... he's a funny boy...

Now he crawls everywhr, yest when we were eating, he was attempting to crawl under the dining table through the small space between the dining table legs and my chair legs. Haiz...

i took 2 days' leave. actually it's more of educating the teachers' his pattern/habit and monitoring how the teachers interact with Jovan & other babies rather than accompanying him. 1st day i stayed in the play-area but Jovan bochap me, just play & play. 2nd day i hid myself, he cried when he cant see me. acc to the teachers, he stopped crying on the 4th day. i also asked the teachers how long it takes for the babies to adjust. they said each baby is diff, but generally the younger the baby, the faster they adjust.

at the previous center, a 7-month-old (same age as Jovan then), he cried for a whole month. Jovan din even weep at all. every morning, Jovan just cant wait to play once he's in the play-area. at this new center, the 15-month-old (who came on same day as Jovan), he din cry at all. only weeped alittle when he woke up from his nap. he was busy running ard & pinching other bbs. but Jovan took a few days to adjust. so i would it's really up to each & every baby.
 
langlao: i was told by the nurse from polyclinic can give bread to cailyn, tt was when she was 9mths checkup. I was surprised by her advise too as bread contain eggs. The nurse mentioned can give wheat bread coz more healthy.

I only pinch abit of the plain white bread to cailyn when I was eating and just gave her tried the soft part of the muffin from Mac.. I only pinched abit for her to try.

As S@L mentioned, if give bb to taste more variety now, they will hv more fussy over food. Me also afraid of that lah.. so only once in a while i gave her try abit here and there over weekend.
 
hi langlao3 - yes Ashton eats the meat too (fish,pork,chicken,beef) We chopped it finely/thinly so that he can swallow...i tried giving him tiny bits of croissant from delifrance last fri and he ate all of them. But when the nanny gave him bread on Mon, plain white gardenia bread, he rejected!! Ooops - i forgot they have egg in it...but i think should be ok because no signs of allergy yet....

I think I would try both the mygym at Marine Parade and Forum..

BD Bash - My suggestion for the venue is also Fidgets because the place is bigger BUT can get very crowded on weekend....so lets decide when we meet for high tea in October ok......

Sharron, you also feed ashton frog leg right?

My aunty will give ashlee one cube of cheese every evening. So far ashlee eats whatever we feed her, can tell from her size hor lol.
 
mummies, Fidgets is still avail. Told them the standard package not suitable for us. They will revert.

Party food they serve fries, burgers which our babies cannot eat also I am checking if they can provide each baby with a BD gift.

i am keen to join in too, tho i stay at SK (but my mum's place nearyby Catholic High.. which part is yrs?) but would that be a wkday or wkend? Gotta warn that my gal is a terror.. so prob may cause quite a bit of disruption!

i also start to feed some of the meat that i use to cook my gal's porridge, gotta mince into small small pc. And oops, I hv been giving her bread since 9mth+, so far she aint showing any allergy yet.. so really hv to depend on each baby.

I think at this stage, they are really interested in what adults are eating, so i always standby some fruits or baby biscuits - else if she sees u eating, she will come over and ask for food too!

High tea is on a Friday right? I rem it has the most number of people. Anyone bringing babies along? Cos I may not, thinking can do shopping at Orchard before/after that..

Me, cant really take leave to accompany Claire to the infant care center. The staff there also told us not to be there for too long....

They told me that its normal for them to cry very jialat for the first few days.

Catherine, no lah.. This boy went to snatch her pacifier and snatch her toys... That's y she bit him!
