(2007/11) November MTBs

mummies,
Dunno if I'm being paranoid, but since yday, I've noticed that G is walking with his right leg slanted horizontally. Any doc to recommend? I like to bring him to have a check, better to correct it when it's young rather than when he's so used to it that it's so difficult for him to change. Sigh..so sad leh..

poissons, u can consult his PD first n see if he can refer u to anyone ? but sometimes it could be tt G just started to walk hence his posture might nt be perfect, but its always good to check.

MM, yes I hear u... can can let me email u the steps la. But the formatting of ur current blog may change le. U wan HK skins is it? BTW I goin Japan in Mar let me know if u wan HK stuff- but not too bulky stuff la.

But now japan exchange rate is very high not a good time le :p... Tink if u wan to go tokyo is still the best pl to start off. If u like historical sites than Kyoto. Scenic will be Hokkaido.

weishy ooh me leaving on 5 Mar will be there for 5 days only! I love the Disney land there everthing so kawaii...oh u going to sanrio land?
Mar is usually the sakura season so will be crowded.

poissons - G seemed to walk ok at PDS on Sat just that he would tumble down on and off... yes agree with MM. Maybe you should bring him to his PD to check it out first and sees what he recommends......

CONGRATULATIONS Cactusnah!!!

Congrats cactus!=) *baby girl dust for you* hehe.

Poissons: does it happen frequently? I recall that G was ok when he walked on Saturday. Asked hubby abt it and he said it may be a "phase" but he would advise to let the orthopedics look at it just to make sure. You may want to observe G for 1 day more and if he still walks that way, you should get a dr to see to it. But should be correctable so not to worry.

cactusnah:CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!joining the club :p

poochi:humm no le will be there from 14th till 18th,i forgot abotu sakura......sanrioland.................must go with MM mah kekekekkekekekke

Cactusnah,
Congrats congrats! Another year end baby..hehe. Thanks for the contact, I've decided to bring G to see his PD this evening to get some prof advice. We visit her so often that the nurse can remember G liao...sigh.

Michviv,
We observed G since Saturday, the more I see, the more worried I am. My hubby also said it might be that he is trying to balance himself, shld be fine once he can steady and walk properly. But I'm worried that he will get so used to that walking position that he will limp next time.

Cactusnah: Congrates

Poisson: I also realised that my girl also walks with her left foot slanted to one side.. but now she is trying to walk while holding my hand. I tot she is also not very good in her balancing and thus walk like this.. so it is not huh?

Poissons: I think it could be cos G just started walking. Monitor and see if it changes. ie once they get more comfortable, the way they walk might change. Else, I agree with the other mummies that maybe can consult with PD and take action from there. Dun worry too much...

Poissons/mambobb: I really think its a phase. But I do think its better to let the experts take a look just to make sure.

When E was learning to walk, I used stiffer shoes like the adidas or nike ones so he has to walk properly or else he will stumble. The shoe itself is quite stiff so it gives good support and makes them walk on the soles of their feet.

Thanks all. But the thot of putting on weight turns me off. Hey Tinkabel, not sure if it's the site u forwarded me works coz i've been trying for a few months. Thanks anyway:)

Poissons: No choice, have to bring G to PD. He'll be well aft this last visit today. Take care.

Cactusnah,
you hardly put on any weight during your 1st pregnancy lor..tummy so small somemore..dun complain ah. Btw, you want shoes from Little Feet?

Hi michviv, have you visited carpe diem? Do you know it they are air conditioned? Why did you choose LSH over CD?

btw do you know if there is free internet in the room in clubmed? I heard they have strollers, can we bring out of the resort?

cactusnah: Which website are you referring to? Forgot already? So u used it for trying to conceive or what?

Ya, I am sure you will lose all that weight again.

cactus,
congrats! i agree with poissons, u were so skinny when u were pregnant so no worries!

poissons,
dont worry so much, let the doc see G 1st. I think he is trying to balance himself.

Cactus, so what's your pref? We just all assumed you want a bb gal this time. but I hv a friend who still wants a boy for the 2nd, after hvg #1 as a boy

missA: I have visited Carpe Diem Kidz (which is the nearest to me at Royal Rd, off alexandra). Its not air conditioned and rather run down if you ask my honest opinion. Also, because of the natural surroundings, there are lots of mozzies...I also have a bad impression of the management as I was slightly late for my appointment with the principal and she went off for another meeting without informing anyone to brief us. Luckily one of the teachers attended to us. This is in stark contrast to LSH. Facilities are much newer and principal is very attentive.

In Club Med Bintan, I think there is internet if you bring your laptop anywhere. But if you didn't, you can pop in at the business centre to use free of charge. =) Oh, they allowed us to bring their strollers out when we took a taxi to the town centre.

Are you thinking of changing childcare for A?

Btw, I'm not continuing with PDS but I would recommend the place to any parent who asks. I'm just looking for a bilingual place now. =)

michviv, Given the rate that she is sick, I am seriously considering switching her to a non aircon environment. There's a PCS in Ghim Moh which is non aircon, I have to make an appt to visit during office hours. I will prob drop by LSH this Sat but then it is air con. Anyway no harm viewing LSH who knows I might like it. Milk & Honey is another option but they only accept children 24 mths & older.

This morning my dad visited A at the centre and according to him she was crying and no teacher was tending to her and when he asked if he can bring her home, the teacher agreed!! Omg, anyone can pass off as a relative to bring babies home! My dad is not authorised to bring A home in the 1st place.

Tinkabel: This one - http://www.americanpregnancy.org/gettingpregnant/ovulationcalendar.html I used it as a guideline, din actually "try" on the recommended conception day though. I thot i wasn't pregnant coz i tested on the 6th day i missed my menses. Then on the 8th day, i went to see a doc for my cough and at the same time try another time for the pregnancy test at the clinic. I told the doc def dun have, must be coz i was overly tired (with wk) hence the delay. But aft a few sec, he told me maybe not coz can see a very faint line. Hee hee...

Thanks thanks for the baby girl dust. I want a GIRL! But my HB prefers a boy coz 1st one is boy, so he prefers 2 of the same gender to have each other as playmates.

Losing Weight: My twin sis failed to lose all the weight she put on for her 2nd child. Many ppl told me it takes a lot more time and effort to shed off the extras for 2nd one. I'm so ka tek, so cannot afford to put on much.

Poissons: I want, i want. Any nice ones? Can help me buy? TIA! I bght 2 pairs for E before CNY. One he almost outgrown it, another one is still too big for him.

Ya, talking abt shoes. Not sure is it common. E feet smell so bad aft wearing the Crocs shoes for a few hrs. I can almost faint when i smell his feet. He has sweaty feet...Can i put powder or spray his shoes?

cactusnah:
Congrats!!

Hi mummies,
Any tod allergy to egg white? My boy is allergy to egg and may have to delay MMR injection. Sigh.... Hope the allergy will go away.

Cactusnah: IC, prob cos very faint line. Urine test not that accurate. Blood test is definitive. After my 1st chemical pregnancy, for both Matt and current bb, I always did a blood test to confirm once my urine test at home shows +ve. Just in case...

As for weight loss, yes I heard a lot of stories abt not pple not being able to lose everything for 2nd preg even though lost everythg for #1. Me hear already also damn worried, even though I lost more than what I put on during pregnancy for Matt. So now very careful abt weight gain, especially since very easy to put on more weight during winter now. But this pregnancy, I have more reaction, even though no huge puking. But feel perpetually bloated and uncomfortable in the stomach and super tired all the time.

My hubby same as yours. Want boy, think can grow up together and also save $$$ cos can use Matt's hand-me-downs. But I want a girl girl... Hahaha...

cactus, Haha, I want a girl but hubby also say same gender easier to play but Haha alas, heaven granted me my wish!

Poissons, g will be alright. I'm sure. And sigh hubby say cannot buy shoes le, so I have to pass le....

cactus:: me also worried cannot lose off all the WT gained. Sigh tried to control not to gain so much this time but end up, still the same lohhh. already 15kg till date. HOWHOWHOW.. now i worry how to lose wt... so i must BF, then again, that's another tricky problemmmmm!!

Cindy: last time u put on 18kg right, so now 15kg is actually less already? Then I think shd be ok la. Just remember, definitely must breast feed. Me also keeping tight watch on my weight gain this time. So far, in 12 weeks now and put on about 1.2 kg. Hopefully weight gain will be slow, last time, I put on more in 5th and 6th month before it tapers off from 7th mth onwards.

Tink/Cindy: My MIL already told me not to go on diet and if this is gonna be my last pregnancy, she asked me to bo chap everything during confinement and rest to "Bu" bk coz i had bad wrist ache aft the few month i gave birth. Only got better last Oct when i went Aussie for holiday w/o E. Die, this time rnd with my MIL staying with us, she sure force me to eat loads.

Tinkabel: I re-tested yest and it showed +ve. but again, quite faint. Is it ok if the line is faint 3 days aft i first tested? Does that indicate anything? Is blood test nec? I also wanted to do but my sis said no need. Guess i'll juz wait for my 1st appt prob in next 2-3 wks.

Rachel: I fed E egg, he is ok with it. Did the PD advise delay till when for the MMR?

Cactusnah: Yah, I know what you mean. I mean be appropriate when u eat la, not diet. I agree with your MIL that you need to "BU" back. Cos the last time I also had the wrist pain and only went away from 3 mths onwards. Thank God. but my back pain is here to stay. I think eating is not all that helps. it's the rest as well.

As for blood test, not sure. I tested 2 times +ve with faint line on the same day. then went to the doc. He was so sure I was pregnant that he said I din need to order any more test (whether urine or blood). Then end up one week later, i got my menses. Till now, I still dunno if I had a chemical pregnancy or what. Guess I am never going to know. So I am more careful with Matt and now #2, esp cos my cycle is longer and never on the dot. But I guess in your case, if your menses are always on the dot and if still dun come in the next 1 week, then I think shd be ok.
