must use both nan bei qi, coz both works together. Sweet one is neutral and heals coughing, bitter one is heaty but heals coughing n 'hua tan' clear phlegms.

sha shen is like tiny sticks of ginseng n its very cheap, few dollars a pack, but the taste is abit strong, not like normal ginseng taste. weird taste la. its norishing to the lungs(ruen fei), stops coughing, quench thirsts n increase appetite. But the smell is not nice lor. I dun like it myself. Everytime i make for hb, I dun drink one. Hehe.

Snow/white Fungus can get everywhere. Esp medical hall. Its call "shue er". they look like cluster of sea sponge/body scrub in their dry form.

Forgot to tell u, the pear to use is those round big pear. Not the smaller longish type.

I have frds who is very pleased with SL. I think it largely depends on ur own baby, coz my frd told me that SL made her baby laff n laff like mad.
But lyn was very sticky to me and refuses to sit nicely on her own or pose properly for him to capture. She keep wanting to run away from the backdrop. So many pics she looks very 'buey gum wan' or not smiley n wanna cry coz I dowanna carry her. Hehe.

about Aria. If the bb looks listless..not active at all...and has fever still...must go see doc asap! If not, wait for a few days, the rashes will be gone by itself. Keep aria cool though.

aiyo... poor baby aria.. up till now i dunno if the rashes adri got last time is the fake measles thingy.. is baby aria down with fever? tink can only monitor her situation and feed lotsa water to ensure body is not dehydrated and keep her cool.. poor dear..

forgot to add again, that if you dowan the soup to be slimy type, want it to be more watery, the snow fungus add later, eg 1 hr after cooking. if u want the soup slimy, add all together. Actually the purpose is to have it slimy, so it will 'ruen hou'. But hb likes it watery.
snow fungus must soak b4 hand to soften k.

I'm happy with SL so far. I think the environment quite conducive for baby. But think it really depend how the photos turn out lah!
Even ourself, we may not be happy when some photos are taken! can find a few good ones like very good liao!

i'm back.. thanks mummies for all the concern. yesterday brought aria to see PD cos we thought she has measles. But pd said it's a cause of roseola, nothing to worry abt. This morning, took urgent half day cos aria was extremely cranky the whole night and keep waking up and whine and cry.. Have to keep latching her. so, morning, like zombie, cannot wake up and decided to take urgent leave.. Today, the rash got worse and her whole face full of blotchy rashes. And she appears restless and tired. Really wondering if PD got misdiagnose? but dun think so lah.. Anyway, will monitor.. the worse thing is aria still have running nose..so, she has it real bad..poor girl..

Clare was pretty cooperative. Think the style didnt quite come through her pics. So, a tad disappointed. Hippo, they were qt good in trying to make Clare laugh, perhaps, I'm just not a big fan of still shots. But, overall, there were like 30+ acceptable nice shots. We cut till it was 10+. haha..

Update on cake
Waiting for the baker to update on the design, but will be working within the budget. We can't get the whole honeypot design as posted earlier coz our cake is not that big. But, we're working on a 1/4 or half honeypot design.
Ordering a 6" x 9" cake which can serve an estimate 40 pcs + additional 16 cupcakes. We hv a total of 49 adults + 3 kids. Shld be enough ya?
