As for dress code, kindly dress your babies in comfortable clothing. No
socks allowed as we have wooden equipments. The class starts at 4.45pm,
please do come earlier to fill in the registration form and make the
necessary payment.
Malik will be the in charge of the day.
So have fun on Saturday (22nd March 2008)
Just to let you know,
Should you or any of the mummy wish to sign up after the trial on the spot,
you/they will get $20 off the membership fee ($80), which mean you pay $60

IMHO patapum n ergo are exactly same in term of function n comfort. i bought patapum toddler with better carry load than patapum baby (same carry load with ergo), however baby must be tall enough for the toddler one since the side opening is bigger than ergo.
I wear patapum the same way ergo being worn. patapum is cheaper a bit compared to ergo n sleeker in design. but ergo will be worth buying if u intend to keep using it till the weight limit is reached. for my case, my back will break first before that happens hehehe..

but i thot patapum toddler is suitable fr 18months onwards? am considering the patapum baby right now, yee heng isn't a heavywieght (only 7.5kg at 6 months) so i think it'll do for a bit, since weight limit is till 18-20kg..its apparently less bulky n folds away nice and compact which will come in handy when we're travelling esp up and down fr KL..in your opinion, is the ergo bulky compared to patapum? didn't see the easy storage aspect (apparently patapum can be folded up and worn round the waist like a bumbag?)
sorry about the tons of questions, but i want to amke sure its a worthwhile investment, since our stroller has become practically redundant right now (and it cost so much!!) and i'm trying to find a good carrier for hubs who loves having yee heng in the carrier, except its butt ugly and gives terrible support!

Can I check with those mommies who are still bfing. Do you all drink coffee or tea? I had craving for tea & had never drink since preg. I was tempted by my hb to drink half a cup last week & gosh! My gal refuse to nap after drinking my bm. She was very cranking & I assume tat is the caffeine tat is acting. What do you all think? My hb says where got so potent one..... grh grh.....

read this about the shichida...
"My kids had been with Shichida prog for > 3 years and over the time the school and management had changed to a very money minded school rather than a good right brain school. I would like to share with all the parents about this so that parents can made a good decision and judgement before enrolling for this expensive course.
Before you start Shichida prog, it's better you are aware of their expensive fees and charges(which are very unreasonable):
1) they charge annual registration fee S$50 even for old students who continue after 1 yo, 2 yo,etc
2) they charge S$85+ for postponement fee, i.e. you stop for one or 2 terms, you have to pay this amount for assessment (but for new students, no assessment, so it's very unreasonable to charge old students bc they
are still teaching the same materials.)
3) they charge rejoining fee $100 if you stop and rejoin later, you have to pay this amount. Again, why $100? they said it's to assess your kid for their readiness to the class momentum (which is also unreasonable)
4) their tensai products are very expensive, 2/3 X more expensive than you can buy outside! one CD can be sold at >S$40! and some promotion is only applicable to new parents, but old parents still need to pay the annual reg fee with no benefits!
5) no make up lesson even if you have a very good reason (last time used to be allowed) in fact, we don't ask for extra resources, just attend for any existing class which has slot availble on other days.
6) their customer care and managemnet are poor, they are very unfriendly and no prompt reply to your email request/feedback.
I know they have many students, so they don't care to lose one customer but it gives parent very bad impression and experience. The counter staffs do not provide good service and are very arrogant. They said most parents do not mind to pay more bc the prog is beneficial to their kids, but it doesn't mean that we can just be placed on a chopping board n let the school chop on us ($$$!)
7) Many parents think that this school only emphasize on making profit and marketing to attract new students, they don't care about old students (no customer care service). a lot of parents withdrew their kids after 1 year as the activities are quite similar.
Not all the teachers are of professional and high quality to deliver ad condect the course. one of my girl's teacher was very inexperience and not good in handling the class activities at all. started the class late and finishied on time, never mark their homework n display their works on the wall until I told her many times. The teachers' quality are not as good as before.
9) the teacher parents home session is not supportive enough, they promote tensai products and do not share sufficient information like this forum even though some volunteer parents are aware of this forum. FYI, those parents get some discount on the term fee. Not all parents can join even your kid's IQ test is high and stayed long with the school and have been doing well unless you are very close to the management.
I'm very dissapointed with them for not being able to provide reasons for all the expensive charges, different staff gave me different reasons why they need to charge the unreasonable charges especially the annual registratioan fee. (it's not $20 or $30 but $50, i think this is the only enrichment school in Singapore that charges annual renewal registration fee) FYI: We don't even fill in a new registration form every year, so why do we need to pay? I have paid 4 times for my boy (they do not reward to old customer at all) and I requested for a pro-rate refund as my boy only attended 1 term for the new year but they rejected.
Those who withdraw from the Shichida programme, pls double check your credit card statement either online or calling to the bank. This is because recently when I withdrew both my kids from the programme and I had paid for the new term fee, but the school only refunded me the deposit and not the term fee as agreed!!!
I called them many times and it took me about 1 month to get back my term fee! I wanted to talk to the manager but they always gave me reason that she was busy or not around. Then I wrote an email to her but no reply from her. THIS IS REALLY BAD!
1st the staff asked me: did you pay your term fee?, then after checking, she said: oh, we forgot about it. As usual, they never say sorry but yet kept saying they need time and it's in the process(route for management's approval bla bla bla) I don't understand why this still need management's approval for the term fee's refund? If I didnt' check and call up, I think they won't refund me the S$800+ term fee!
so, parents, pls keep your original receipt, check carefully on your credit card statement and do not give up calling them because they never return call even they said they would do so!
Another unhappy encounter was they kept reassuring that if your child changes class, they will place your child into a class where the students are from similar term, let say my boy joined since term 4 and had been with the prog for 14 terms, the gap of the students shuold be only 3 terms, ie the commencement term for other students in the other class that they will place my child should be around term 1-7.They claimed that because of this, if we stop for one term, they need to charge the assessment fee to test the child's momentum, ability level, etc.....HOWEVER, I was soooo mad to know that one of my boy's classmate in his last term that she only joined for 2 terms!!!!that means 2 term-old students joined with 14-term old students!and this student didn't show any super ability but very fresh!
One day during our last term with the school, one of the rude staff(she is a supervisor!no wonder all the staff are so rude!)) even shouted at my hubby n me in front of the counter over an misunderstanding issue. This was of course beyond our tolerance level and this made our decision to withdrew very firm!
I happened to know that the previous GM (the brother of the school's principal) left the school and form another new school, bringing over some old staff together. Also attended the preview of this new school but not impressive at all.
Therefore, parents, pls make a wise decision and judgement before you enrol your kids for all these right brain schools.Expensive and established right brain schools doesn't mean that they are good. I can see how this school changed over the time from 4 years ago especially the custmoer care service, the teachers' quality(many good teachers left) and also the number of brochures/information/given to the parents had dropped drasticaly. We used to receive monthly newsletter (in comics form or a piece of paper) then changed to quarterly newsletter then ZERO newsletter n the past year but only tensai products' catalogue.(but yet some pffer only applicable to new parents!)
Just for sharing and awareness of this prog's management style to the parents. "

just know that ppl said the shichida not much good teacher left as the turn over rate is very high and ppl make bad comment to the new teachers..they said the old manager in shichida open a new school at bugis, got their web, they hv trial class, anyone keen to go there to try?

jereth can pull himself up in his cot already, so we're gonna lower the level of the mattress soon. he's also crawling everywhere so gotta keep an eye on him when i leave him on his playmat. but 2 of my friends says their kids never learnt to crawl and moved to walking straight so maybe doren feels that learning to crawl is a waste of time since he's gonna end up walking anyway! smart boy..!

but if i take too much jereth won't be able to sleep at night and he either 1) gets cranky coz too tired but can't sleep or 2)stays super hyper and wants to play late into the night
so i limit myself to just 2 cups of tea per day. not more than that..
