if you seriously wanna buy those headlights, try mustafa. i'm not sure if they have, but they carry stesthoscope. and they seem to have everything, so you can try. i know cos my hubby got his spare sthethoscoe from there. haha.....

the tanglin gymbo is ok leh. i have no basis of comparison, but i've no complaints of it as of now since i've only been there once anyway

is the gym crowded during weekends? while i would enjoy the company, i think it's frustrating if the whole place is infested. do they limit the number of children inside?
 
SQ: Weekends my hubby is the cheuffeur. He ferries us about. It's easier that way. No need to park, just call and wait..

This arrangement suits us cos he doesn't mind missing out the fun, and I don't mind him not around to help with my maid around. So we girls always have fun going out..

Talking about MIL spoiling grand child, these few days, rae very notti too, she keep wanting MIL to carry and when MIl carries her, she dun even wanna look at me and dun want me to carry her. I dunno whether to laugh or cry. at least she is no longer super sticky to me!
 
SQ: Mustaf sells stesthoscope? which section.. so curious.. must go see. maybe can take one and test and listen to Rae's heart beat..hehehe. should have went when i preggy so i could hear bb's heart beat!

Surprising the vivo gymbo was not crowded at all. When i went on sat, Rae was the 3rd baby there, we had so much space to ourselves. Sun also surprisingly very quiet. sumtimes i dun go on the dot, like if they have free play session from 3 to 5, i might go at 3:30pm and end my session at 4:30pm etc.

weekends my hubby of course will go with us to classes. he's expected to be there. attendance is compulsory for him. i would freak out if he doesn't go, cos i want him to interact with YE more leh. as it is, she's already v clingy to me, so i want hubby and her to have the chance to be together more la.

weekdays if i'm not working, then i'll drive and bring her out. my hubby's the lazy stay at home watch tv kind, i'm the must go out else will die kind. YE's like me, she gets v bored at home if we're still not out by late afternoon. once we're out, she's v sociable and will laugh and shout kind. esp when there are other kids around

oh, can lidat ah? go in the middle just as long as it's for an hour? so good. when we first tried, YE was zzz in the car (notti gal). i deliberately put her in her stroller hoping to wake her up, but she still zzz wor. then when i pushed the stroller walked one round, and finally wanna go home, she woke up. so we went up late. but still got to end on time

oh, forgot to tell you, i cut my ah boy's nail with him wide awake... and he will stare at me cutting his finger nails. think he scare that i will cut him, so he "eagle hawk" me... hahaha.. .actually i ever accidentally cut abit of his skin once.... ;p
 
SQ: Then liddat no choice got to find parking lor.. Traffic at Harbour Front is heavier compared with Tanglin.

Astro: Why are u afraid that Teng will wake up if you cut his nails when he's sleeping? Do u want him to be a light-sleeper? If not, it's ok for him to get used to people touching him gently, people talking, tv noise in the background type of disturbance leh..

Again, if you're very conscious that he shd not be disturbed, then he will become liddat.. IMHO...
 
SQ: i think the staff at GYmbo not so particular one .. they didn't make noise when i started late and ended late leh. I saw other parents doing the same as well when i was there last sat.
Weather not looking good these few days, I was thinking of bringing Rae for a swim tomorrow cos my auntie gone now.. now not very likely if it conts to rain

sometimes I purposely add in the "spice" when i saw my mil in such "predicament"... hehehe... me very mean hor?? whenever she complains abt such things, i always say "of cos what, you always carry him mah. that's y he knows loh, he very smart what!!!" hahaha... as i type, i am giggling away, hope my colleagus dun catch me doing that... hahaha

SQ: really? hmm.. i think the staff at Vivo not so rigid leh... when they were processing my membership ( which took so long), they ask me to bring baby in back to the gym to play longer so they can take their time to do my application.

SQ: yes.. vivo gym.. suprisingly queit.. think difficult to find. coz first time there. i took around 30 minutes to locate the damm place leh..

me going of for my gynae appt soon. somehow it still gives me the creeps to think of pap smear. though my gynae is the nicest gynae on earth)

just realised i've forgotten which floor my gynae is on. got to go and check the directory. it's been so long. suddenly tot of the regular gynae visits during preggie days. blindfolded also can find my way there.

and bb's almost 9 months liao. she's been outside my tummy for almost as long as she was inside.

talk about time flying by us! *whoosh!*

BBgirl: ehh.. let me clarify.. not i want him to be like light sleeper or not.. not that i afraid or what.. and teng can sleep through all these disturbances cause he does when he was young.. i tihnk my house not that dead queit kind.. construction site nearby. he will sleep too..

it is just that the quality of sleep will not be there if he keeps waking up then fall back to sleep.. and wake up again.. and fall back to sleep.. like the wy he does just now.. and i get a heart attack if he wakes.. coz i want him to have a good long sound afternoon/morning nap..so that he enjoys the day ahead.. i am particular abt his sleep.. quality of it.. he needs rest. and i dun feel comfortable 'disturbing' him when he is supposed to be resting and rejunvenating..
like the way i wun want anyone to disturb me, cut my nails.. when i am alseep? ..a bit far fetched cos no one will touch me.. but something along that line..my opinion and preference...

hmm. going off now. want ot bring him to untied sq cut hair liao.. the $16 one.. better be good and he DUN cry. else no diff to send him to nearby salon for cheapo haircut..

sq/star: i think it depends on the timing of freeplay for the staff to decide if u can continue after the hour if u went late. i remember last time i went at half past 1. then they had classes at 2.. so die die i must leave at 2. then cannot extend. but they were kind, charged me half price. :D those late for 10 mins kind gotta pay full.. i find dat vivo is generaly quieter on sundays. parking aplenty too! hee... sunday is our vivo day!

Usually j nids to be rock to sleep..so once his eyes close, I whip out the nail cutter..hahaa..this position very goodcoz I lock him in one positionif he tries to move, I shake shake abit then he goes back to sleeptried to put him on bed and cut, but hor, I duno how to lie on the bed and cut properly for him even though he not movinghaha..
Used to cut his nails while he awake..he just look at me and let me cut..but now, he very interested in the cutter so even one finger oso big headache!

a bit too late..but erm...dun go to the united square junior league....the hairstylist there..not so nice. No skills also. That time son cut there...even though he sit still for 15-20 mins...the lady did a very bad hair cut for him. Wana go muz go to the one at suntec. The hairstylist there better. The aunite...cut very basic but won't need hair cut so soon coz she cuts shorter. The uncle...nice hair cut. But he go according to shape...nice but muz bring kid back 2-3 mnths once to cut.
HOw was it at united square anyway?
 
SQ: You're doing your papsmear? Speaking of which, I got a scare. I found a lump on my right breast. Went to my gynae and he too detected something. Then went for mamogram. Luckily came out fine. Just soft tissue. I think for me it's caused by breastfeeding..

Astro: Aiyah.. Cutting nails only mah.. Not like you cut his nails everyday right? Should be ok wan lah.. Happy hair cutting for Teng..

Egg yolk: I intro yesterday as I said I would. She likes it.. Auntie asked me if can give again today. I said maybe tom lah.. We gave her a bit on it's own first, then add the rest into the porridge..

Yogurt: Tried to look for it. Most of them got sugar added right? Can give to baby?
 
SQ, astro, babygirl, oh.. so baby crying or appear uninterested at gymboree is normal? i tot anthea is the odd one out coz the other babies during that session were enjoying themselves so much. hm...

yvonne, mash, just now i was chatting with the lady who was doing my pedicure. her baby boy (may baby) turning 7 mths old soon is 11kg. he was born 3.7kg super overwt.

kaylyn wasn't very happy at gymboree too. It took her awhile..in fact abt 40 mins..before she would let us sit her on the mat.

that day i saw a organic shop selling the culture thingy for making homemade yogurt...even the organic yogurt that the shop was selling was sweeten. btu sugar thingy...depends on how strict you are going to be. A little sugar is alright. HOw much yogurt can they take anyway. If they kiddies can take fruits...and sugar is from sugarcane...bits of it..okie lah. Of coz there are mummies who would not let their kid take a single bit of sugar/salt/outside prepared food.

re egg yolk
i gave a whole hard boiled egg yolk to anthea once (with porr water added to make into ice cream texture) and she liked it, finished everything. ended up she was too full for milk 2 hrs later. my mum said egg yolk is very filling wor..

usually i buy eggs from market. i will tell the uncle i want eggs for baby and he rec this white shell small size egg which he said is very nutritious for babies. now anthea's nanny feeds her egg yolk every morn, so i stopped giving on wkends (supposedly only 3-4 egg yolks per wk).

re yogurt
i gave anthea yoplait plain baby yogurt but she vomitted aft a few mouthful... why eh?? i tried on 2 diff occasions and same thing happened.

re cheese
i know astro has told us many times but sorry, can tell me again? wat cheese can our baby eat eh? the laughing cow cheese spread from NTUC can? but got salt leh...

re bellpepper
star has taught us before and i tried roasting it over stove fire. star, i need to roast very long before it soften huh? i roasted liao but in the end threw away coz i dunno wat to do with it. btw, which colour is best eh?

i gave anthea mee sua in veg broth last wkend but she din eat a lot. think she needs time to get use to the taste and texture.. will try again tmr...

sorry for my many qns.. been reading super baby food lately and tempted to try new foods.

i didnt..today havent go yet...hoping it will subside...wat happen was i was suppose to see female doc, when i step in, a young male doc sitting inside, think its part time doc and i so shy to show him my tyre tummy..wahahaha...so i guess he saw very little of it...and concluded it might be insect bite, if it doesnt heal, go back again.

hope: according to the lady, seems the class quite full already. she almost told me all of us have to go another day. after much discussion with her colleague, then she told me ok, can proceed.

the nurse said nothing much can be done if its hives. ask me to look out for root cause. how?
anyway, she said doctor also give anti itch medicine oni.
I asked if it could be the new formula? she said most prob not due to food now cause normally food allegies rash will start or concentrate at cheeks (mouth).
so fyi!

other than that, i just monitor if it comes back during weekend. if not, then monday go back to nanny place strike again, then more or less confirm its due to that place liao.

i guess she is weak cause teething again. the 4th one coming out, nanny also said, almost pop out liao. just a little bit more.
