so quiet tonight.

bought tricycle for leia at $45 from cheong choon the chinatown shop. kiddy palace sells at $65, carrefour $50+ i think.

sometimes i find it very sweet when hubby and i laugh at leia, when she cries or shows funny expression. i think its another type of couplehood, unlike the romantic days.

today i also brought leia to the playground. she keeps looking at people around her, not focus in playing.

hehehe, think the older generation will ask us to keep it. I kept both theirs in separate hongbaos also but forgot to indicate which is which. haha.

i bring my boy to a PD at Jurong East
Anne's Baby & Child Clinic
she's quite good..my boy juz saw her once only & he recovered almost immediately!
after seeing 2 GPs & visiting the A&E once...

after my lesson learnt..
i feel that as babies & children, it's still better to visit a PD when they're ill
cuz GP's medication are for adults (i feel),
& after a couple of visits to the GP when dun recover then u bring to PD = pay more than if u bring to PD in the beginning..
but as for vaccines, i still bring my boy to GP

Astro: actually i did not teach rae to sit up from tummy position.. she discovered it herself. So far i have only been trying to teach her to crawl..still unsuccessful lah.

I am contemplating implimenting CIO on Rae leh.. very fan leh.. been thinking about it the past two days. *sian*

Astro: i think she has very bad sleep habits.. once i tuck her to bed, she can wake up crying like once every 30 to 45mins.. and usually i need to carry and pat her before she can fall back to sleep. Its very tiring.. she dun seem to know who to fall back to sleep by herself..she just cry and scream for me (and only I can pacify her). If i am in the toilet and my hubby carry her, she scream even louder cos she just wants me. Its getting quite bad cos every time my hubby carries her, she screams even louder, she seems to think that when ever daddy carries, she needs to scream really loud before mummy takes over

yes.. can be done.. anything can be done if u have the know how. in my case.. i have a very sucky CL.. there's why the infection.. and the THICK cradle cap which formed.. and i had to spend so much time and engergy to get rid of it when she left... damm

star: i am beginning to have this thought.. i wonder if u share the same thiking? that if the bb skips the crawling stage and jumps to walking straight.. it is very hard to 'teach' him to crawl.. the other day Joelle asked me.. how cmoe teng can stand so steadily while seth can't.. i think i replied her.. coz seth is a very proficient crawler liao.. different muscles and 'angles' used.. so stand up not very steady. coz most of the time.. in crawling position.. and his curiousity is statisfied by crawling around.. so doesn't need to stand so early.. i dunno what i was talking lah.. but i see teng struggled untill like that.. i seriously think this stupid crawling biz is not worth CIO-ing.. think one of the mums here skipped crawling to walking straight too.. still must encourage him to stand and sit up.. then he mobile liao.. hates this crawling biz.. must be a case of sourgrapes, me

anyway, read Rae can stand liao..congrats! hmmm.. maybe she is like teng.. will walk, wun crawl.. ? dunno.. sian
 
starfruit: if waking every 30 mins to 45 mins , crying.. i think.. sleeping assosication again.. damm tricky this.. i read somewhere.. last time.. that infants.. at most, they cry for 5 mins before going to sleep..see.. 5 mins only lei? i reflected and asked myself.. i should really have left teng cried for 5 mins each night.. and let him lern the ability to go back to sleep by himself EARLY.. then have this protracted struggle of him not being able to go back to sleep by himself now.. certainly accumulated.. time spent.. longer than many '5 mins' put together.. sian.

and yes.. dun attempt CIO unless very very very sure.. once started.. cannot giv eup halfway one.. not fair to all parties.. esp bb..
 
I have been reading up quite a bit..online mostly, they all suggest letting baby CIO to learn to fall back to sleep themselves.. They say this will help prevent serious sleep problems in the future. sounds bad hor.

anyway, i think now teng enjoys standing, i dun think he will try to crawl, cos more exciting to stand than to crawl right?
 
Most of the website advocate "Control crying" to rid them of the bad sleep habit.. very sian cos i really dunno if i shoudl implement..cos she can cry until she is holding her breath one leh.

before u attemnpt CIO.. must make sure everything all 'covered'/ not case of hunger.. or whatever.. if not very guilty one.. me speaking from experience ...sigh..

bbgirl: *sigh*.. dun use the phrase 'add up to the list' pls.. seems like teng very very problematic..

he will want to move around.. will shout for attention.. give him our fingers.. he will hold on and pull himself up and start 'walking' and exploring .. he is dependent on us.. just like sleeping associations.. very sian..

that was why DR low said he is "good" in gross motor.. but too smart.. and lazy.. suggested to just him cry.. but holding back.. coz as much as i know that CIO is the fastest method to solve any problem.. me not an advocate of it.. there are things which are worth the effort.. things which are not worth the drama..maybe this sitting up and pulling to stand by himself.. is one of not worthy..in my opinion. as joelle rightly put it.. soon he will be able to walk.. and by then. he will want to pull himself up and MOVE.. and 2 more months.. i can wait.. or can i ?? arghh..


i think pluus his temperment also. coz he really can just sit at a place..if u give him something to occupy his hands..for a very long long time.. so that adds to the 'problem'.. inverted commas coz too mobile also not good.. aiya. sian..

i am going to dr ong on monday. this cant go on.. get him a walker. he sits himself down from standing (very adept at this).. and fiddles with the wheels!! *Faint*.. the stupid walker to him.. very fascinating.. must spend a lot of time.. 'examining'.. i really dunno to laugh or to cry.. seeing him so engrossed with swating the walker from left to right.. fiddle fiddle.. poke poke. his concentration is amazing.. good.. but not good.. aiya.. dunno what i am talking lah..

bad sleep habit
Elisha also wake up just now and cry badly. Recently she have been waking up and cry for paci in the middle of the night, but juz now was very bad, I carry her from her cot she still cry non stop till her both eye swollen then my mum take over she stop, then I take over she start cry again. What happen to her? She seem like reject me this few days.

sorry for KPO. Some bb dun crawl one lei, dun need to headache abt it. My brother dun crawl but start walking at 8months.
Elisha start crawling since 7months old but we very headache cos she keep crawling whole house to find new toys to play so we have to follow her everywhere.

realised tha nowadays keira also like rae.
especially this week, coz my mum pointed out to me. she will cry n cry juz b4 she falls asleep.
and she will only stop crying immediately if she is carried.

huajing: not the crawling i am concerned.. that one long give up hope liao.. anyway.. i think star's right.. to teng.. standing and mayoring is more exciting than crawling by himself.. if u think along this line.. why would he motivate himself to crawl??

star: me used the controlled crying method.. my gf sleep guide bookmarked by me till cannot make it lao.. me did a lot of reading.. like SQ before deciding to CIO.. and i must say. despite the emotional trauma.. it is still worth it.. now i got another 'problem' to think.. this dependence on us to get him moving.. i really want to strangle him liao.. maybe i should go and do it now!

and sleeping association is bad.. coz it might not go away.. or bbs might not outgrow it.. there are cases that bbs behave this way till 3 years of old.. might be the minority. but not assuring to know nonetheless.. sian.. aiya.. me sound like adovocating CIO.. must really say .. NO I AM NOT!! me humane.. GOT HEART one.. *Sigh*

huajing: that;s why there is a natural progression of bbs crawling then to walking.. i dunno why teng likes to go against the norm lah.. anyhow DR Low assured me that nothing wrong with skipping crawling altogher.. doesn't mean anything wrong with teng's brain or whatever..if think from the prospective of the child.. he good life lor! ..

teng shouldn't be a puppy.. should come out later be a piglet..(not implying anything bad abt piglet.. dun bash me up..! ). but the way he behaved lah.. eat well.. can managed very 'hard' lumps.. just give him time.. the potato lumps (wihch are honestly a bit hard.. to be mashed up effortlessly..even by sp).. can also 'dissolve' away..stylo him.. no teeth.. he win liao..

in the meantime. i got to keep a lookout for him.. coz he champion in eating.. but if got fire.. he first one to burn alive!! *sigh*

I got the '4 levels' type. Can be put adjacent to my bed at 3rd level. Like that she also happy ... My boy sleeps on his own at 2nd level then we fix the other panel up as well for his.
