mejo, now u mention, i realise bel always say the wrong thing. And makes mi feel she lie to mi. She say she wan to pee, so i bring her to toilet, den after she sit on it, she say she don wan. And when she push mei mei, she say mei mei fall on her own. Is this a lie, or they are too young?

btw it's common for our kids to pick food. Jo started picking on her food LONG LONG TIME ago. in school, no choice, must eat everything. at home, she'll pick. M also pick his food last time. these days, he's ok...

realised tat cc teacher did not feed leia milk before naptime, they want the kids to sleep on their own but leia is getting skinnier, cannot afford to let her skip her milk.

might be true but how come 1 sibling has it and the other dun? both brought up in the same environment.
 
oh yes, i read from stomp. Our s$10 plastic notes will shrink if it goes into the dryer. So becareful when u put the clothes into the dryer. Remember to check the pockets. Hehehe! Not sure if banks will replace the shrink notes.

if u wan CCC teacher to give Leia milk before naptime, do let them know. they'll give. they r trying to help wean the kids off fr the habit of drinking milk before nap.... they will give milk in cup not btl, pls take note.
btw 3 May, CCC close for staff trg (1 of 5.5 days they can close).

I think it was harder to identify children with dyslexia back then.. so maybe now, a lot of the kids have grown into adults w/o realising they have this problem.

Yvonne: i don;t think bel is dyslexic, usually dyslexic ppl have problem with letters like b, p, they will write the letters upside down too.. thats what i saw in documentaries. I agree that bel may be hindered by her poor eyesight, thus slowly now is recognising letters. pls expose her to more letters, do the capital letters first. when she is ok, can proceed to small letters. U may wanna consider the Leap frog letter factory DVD.. heheh
Good that bel only start picking on food now.. rae, more than 6 mths liao.. she dun eat veggie and fruits one.. only meat and rice.! i think every kid will reach a stage where they pics on food. its just a matter of when.

There is a test to test whether you are Dyslexic or not. My teacher suspect I'm mild Dylslexic, asked me whether want to go for the test or not. But i didn't go for the test.

no, X dun take deep fried food when he's w me, but i think my MIL "fry" the fish or go w dark sauce etc, cos X got tired of steam fish long time ago..

so now he picks his homecook food. but at CC, he finishes up everything. Oh, hubby bought dinner last nite, n i just cook a soup. and X kept asking for more!!! see, he likes outside food more. argh!!!

aiyo, my X also pick on my food... he will say not nice! cos i dun put too much salt in my cooking.... and X likes outside food more, cos the gravy are dark in colour and more "tasty".... terrible right???

If you really suspect Leia has mild autism or mild hyperactive maybe you can bring her for accessment?
I think Leia need more attention and patience from you and Mr Tan bah. Slowly she will be able to listen to you more. Maybe next year mah.
 
Astro, we discussed about teng that time cause miser said he/teng was autistic. then i told hb and we all laughed la. cause cannot be.

forgot to share w u on babysitting arrangement for little X. The mummy who stays at teresa vill condo is helping to babysit little X now. So i hv to fetch little X every morning n evening.

btw, wanna know what happen to my mil? last thurs when she walked out on us again, she fell sick n my hubby told me tt she has high blood pressure!! wow, i only went out for 1.5 days, she fall sick n has high blood pressure. Lucky never listen to her n let her take care of little X...

Anyway, I'm happy tt she has recover lah, but hv to monitor her pressure. My hubby took the opportunity to "lecture" her abit, tt she's old already n that's y we engage help (maid n nanny), but she's not appreciative and stubborn n scolded us. My hubby told her, she's not young anymore, sometimes hv to engage help n not tt we abandoning her or "feel" tt she's old n redundant liao... sigh! Think my mil cannot accept the fact tt she has aged n her kids are grown up n priorities change liao. My mum too went thr this stage when i get married....

wah bel very good girl NOW then complain abt food? chloe started long ago.. recently she got some growth spurt or wat... kept asking for milk, after dinner not long milk again..but this morning her donut she did not finish.. kept drinking water..

I have not tried the tingkat that QQ post, but I just want to share that most tingkat services are at this price..so it's not that this one is particularly cheap or what. AND hor, please lower your expectations to the lowest. The tingkat food is like those chap-cai-png store type of food... and they cook in the morning.. so by the time it gets to your house, it won't be very appetising.. still edible, but don't expect too much.. and... the rice is terrible! Because they cook rice using steam-method.. so alot of the grains are either too hard or too dry.. hmm, but if you don't intend to order rice, then I think ok bah.

Last time i ordered tingkat, i didn't order rice. Cos my expectation of rice is higher than the dishes.
Ya, the food can be not appetising and i don't like their soup. Hence i take 4 dishes instead of 3 dish + 1 soup.

Tingkat, we intend to cook our own rice and soup. and dun have high expectation too but just try for fun, mon-thursday nia. this one is EXP. mums cooking. my bil ordered this one. the feedback is very good. i tried 3 years ago (not so ex that time) when it was still under buffetparadize. huingee gai siao one.

and we order 2-3 pax (prob 2), then 4 of us eating. me, hb, sil and the ah boy. haha!!

That time when i ordered 4 dishes for 2 pax from Kims kitchen, it's abit too much for 2 of us. Ended up I didn't cook rice, only eat the dishes. Cos if have potato is carbo liao.
Can try with 2 pax lst bah and see how. Maybe can call the company to check whether if halfway change to 3 pax ok or not.

But hor, your preg i think tingkat not so good.
Cos the food cook at maybe 10+am. Then by the time you eat is already 7pm liao.

jay cook until giving up so need to take a break. he doesn't cook everyday la. only once in a while nia. so we eat out also sian.

huingee, u see if we eat out, also similar pattern la msg and such. or dabao. so we can add one dish (fish or wat) to the tingkat. that means SEMI cook + tingkat.
i think we will consider ordering 2 pax. i wait for the other two to confirm within these few days and see if we all want to go ahead.

I posted before. There is a connection (higher probability) for children to have dyslexia if they skip the crawling stage and went straight into the walking stage..
And I think more prone in boys than girls.

My godson is liddat. Right until P1, he could speak well, but couldn't write properly. Until one day the parents discover (by chance) that he was actually writing in mirror image!

My nephew is another one. He couldn't differentiate the "b"s from the "d"s.

Both cases are considered mild and I don't think either went for treatment. They're both ok now I think.

But as for crawling and dyslexia, I'm not sure which is the chicken, which is the egg..

i tried one tingkat service before... not nice.. that's y dun know wanna try this. My hubby got high expectation.. hahaha..

anyway, i think he still prefers to buy outside food and i cook 1 soup lah... more healthy than outside. n he eats alot, the tingkat food portion cannot match his demand. He always take big bowl of soup one...

we everyday eat kim's kitchen tinkat. So far so good. Mai hiam buay pai. Lol. We cook our own rice. sometime got the buffet dish. Normally is economic rice dish. Everyday different.

Esther now still write wrong, the b,d, p, q. I think most kids are like this bah. They see mirror image.
 
Talking about mirror image, I had the hardest time with the no. "2" & "5" when I 1st learnt to write and the word "厂" all the way till Pri 5 or 6. Till now I still must think before I can write that word. So maybe I got mild dyslexia too? My mum said I skipped the crawling stage too. All along we thought it's cos I'm left-handed thus the mirror image in writing.

last nite i yelled at my mum, think she's a bit upset la. she nags a bit too much :p

when i was back, she started picking on my MIL's cooked food - Hei2 Bi3 Hiam1 french bean, chicken feet and fish. she keeps complaining why my MIL eats chicken feet, why she cooks Hei2 Bi3 Hiam1 so spicy..implying that she is cooking her fav food but we dun really eat those. anyway I told her off ..its none of her business, if MIL likes to eat, so wat? wats the point of telling me? I mean i am trying to be appreciative that MIL cooks and fetch leia once in a while recently.

anyway my mum said..ok lah your own mum is NO GOOD la..so sensitive...kkeee she doesnt want to speak to me :p and shes a bit stubborn, she really really dislike my MIL to the extent that if she knows MIL is cooking, she rather eat dinner outside than to eat her food.
