mejo, that's y hubby should claim for parent relief, cause that is the only one (besides non working spouse) that men can claim.
full time working mum can claim for all others... etc etc.

star: yes only 1 child can claim.. so ur MIL staying u.. only either 1 person can claim
 
mejo: yes hb cannot claim, see what i posted previously, the grandparent child relief only for working mums... Single or male taxpayers are not eligible for this relief.
 
For parent relief, can claim only if your parent does not earn more than 2k per year.
My hb used to claim, then IRAS found out his dad earn more than 2k per year. So back pay for the few years he claim.
Mmm, actually with 2 kids, last year both me and hb no need to pay tax.
 
kaexin, frankly speaking, i think K has lots of shoes and clothes.... steady!
if only K has a twin sis, then can share all these, and still got enough. haha!!

2. Working mum relief
3. child relief

working mum or working hubby can claim this.
1. parent relief (only), if stay with the childre, can claim MORE.

honestly speaking, recently i have only been buying her bottoms!she is wearign shorts that is size24-2T. small liao. my sis been buying stuff for her and yest, sh just told me she collecting again. bought her a apron so can cook together!
 
I din even bother to claim all my reliefs lor cuz I'm earning so little. :p Cuz still need to go calculate how much maid levy paid etc., I din bother cuz definitely going under 20k liao. It is kind of pathetic that for my entire working life, I have yet to pay a single cent for tax!!! T_T
 
All: Child relief... only 1 parent can claim, if both HB and u claiming, have to split it 50% between the two of u. For 1 child its $4000.

star is not eligble for parenthood rebate coz Rae is born in 2007. this rebate is only for those born on 1 jan 2008 onwards.
 
here on child relief

You may claim qualifying child relief on your own or you may divide your claim between you and your spouse.

b. You can claim this relief for all your children. The child order is based on date of birth or date of legal adoption for a child adopted on or after 1 January 2004.

c. The allowable QCR amount is $4,000 per child.

i can only claim WMR, Grandparent caregiver relief, child relief and personal relief. coz my parents are not living in spore, i cant even claim that one.
 
ok ok.. so for 1 child.. we claim the following

1) Grandparent care relief (no. 11 on the tax form) up to $3,000 and only 1 person can claim. if your sister/SIL claim for your MIL or mum, u cannot claim.
2) Child relief (no. 9 on the tax form)- claim on your own or divided between you and spouse, $4,000 for 1 child
3) working mum relief - all working mum can claim its 15% of income for 1st child

Here goes..

1) Qualifying Child Relief (QCF)
This applies to all parents, working or not.
2) Working QCF
This applies to working mothers only.

**The above 2 relief is capped at $50k per child.

3) Grandparent relief - if they help you take care of your child
Max $3000

4) Foreign Maid's Levy
Max $6350

5) Parenthood Tax rebate

u know there is 1 year, IRAS came back to me that i didnt efile. but i thought i did. so in the end, i have to do a paper file coz they only got back to me in 2-3mths later after close.

if ur mum makes less than 2k/year, you can claim for her but not for your MIL. but mr tan can claim parent relief since she is living with you guys.

pink, i think your mil also has rental income, that is more than 2K per year. it hink cannot claim for her as non working parent bah.

mist, you may talk to nanny if big X is sick, see if she can take over on certain days. so that u can still go work, but then it has to depend if little X is ok with the nanny. u can bu3 some allowances to nanny also. why not? try to see if can be arranged.

once tian is in school now, i everyday also looking out for symptoms this week. maybe because of CP and also HFMD on the rise. last night saw one dot on her butt and told jay cannot send her to school today cause either CP of HFMD liao.
this am the dot is gone and all body smooth smooth. actually sil was right, she said, she everyday also see some red dots on tian's body/face one. she is sensitive ma. since young also sometimes got little dots, maybe hot la, clothes abrasion, etc etc. early in the am all dissappear and smooth smooth.

kelley, good la. ashlyn can have some of K's old stuff. actually ashlyn is taller and longer woh. haha!!!

not painful! i have wide feet bcos i 'crack' my toes :p so i cant fit into pointed shoes most of the time, so happy tat this fits me :p

yeah, nanny dun look after on weekends, n at nite i hv to look aft e 2 boys... yeah, no more basketball for hubby liao, told him we will be very busy. think i may not hv enough sleep also.. sigh! me really lucky leh,

think my mil must be going thr some hormones unbalance these few yrs. she very hot temper these few yrs n everything must be in her way.. behave exactly like my sil leh...never mind lah, i try to kan kai liao, since both boys are my children, i hv to bear the responsibility n take good care of them. Do my best for them bah...

Went for growth scan.. Thankfully.. everything is alright! yea! and baby is at 2.5kg now.. the limps are shorter.. but at 50 percentile.. or slightly lower.. so should not be a big problem.. and was said not to be of much concern.. :p happy now! hahahahaha!

No paktor lah, hb busy went to work and tomorrow will be working also.
Bringing Esther for makeup lesson at 3.30pm as she missed last sunday lesson because of her fever.

Same here, i also crack my toes. Hence my feet difficult to get shoes.
