yvonne,
black pepper sauce is easy to use. i normally use it to marinate my pork chops, then fry. I have also fry prawns, add one scoop of the paste. or u can fry chicken and add one scoop. easy.
Black Pepper Pork Chop
1. Buy pork loin (rou4 tou2). Need about 4-6 slices is enough (for you and Nick). If the meat slices is thick, you can slice in-between but not all the way then open it up like butterfly. If the meat is thin, then no need to slice in-between.
2. Use the back of the chopper to tok tok the meat a bit (just hammer a few times) this is to make it more tender.
3. Marinate the meat with tapioca flour or cornflour. one big teaspoon enough. Just rub the flour into the meat. About 1-2 mins.
4. Then put 1-2 tablespoon of the black pepper sauce to marinate the meat. Put some minced garlic too if you like garlic. Marinate about 30mins or more.
5. Then pan fry using a bit of oil. No need to add salt cos the black pepper sauce is salty. Note: if you added garlic in marinate, then after pan-fry, the garlic will turn black. It's normal. Then when eating time, if you find it too bitter, don't eat the garlic. Just sweep aside.
As for sweet and sour sauce, I don't like. But I guess you can use it to fry some veg to put on top of fried fish. Fry cucumber, bell pepper, big onion, add some of the sweet-sour sauce. Then put over already-fried fish.
Ok, go try. My black pepper pork chop is quite well-recieved! Kaexin loves it!
