Yvonne: i feel that its ok to let Bel scream/cry bit and u dun carry her and cont with ur cooking.. u can call it a mini CIO session.. cos after a while, she will learn. Infact, rae knows that her whinning do not affect me, so she only whine and demand to be carried when my MIL is around. hey i do let Rae sit in her high chair in the kitchen watching me cook.. hehe sumtimes she cries to be carried too but i will let her cry a bit till i finish all I need to do then i carry her..hehe i quite hard hearted one leh.

weather is cold there... worried bel cannot take it... also the place is not good...air not clean... also not child frendly... all places need to take stairs... i come back sure slim down...

Astro: er.. my MIL also the same leh..hehe. actually i think i opp from u and yvonne, when i need to do any stuff, like cook etc, i quickly go dump rae into my MIL arms, so she can take care wheile i finish all my chores..hahaha

YE small appetite? my girl drinks 220ml of milk to sleep but she's getting slimmer, is this weird?
she eats and drinks quite a lot according to my maid.

u so cute, cannot stand your MIl to that extent but at least she helped? just now mine irritated me again, dun know for how many times she asked me how come leia slept so early, come on its 10+ already? doesnt mean she comes home late, i have to put my gal to sleep late? she only knows how to talk and ee eh with my gal and interrupt me from putting her to sleep.
and my house can be a bit messy since there're bb stuff around, not a single time help me to pack.
 
yvonne: i think bel knows that if she cried hard, u will carry her leh.. u wanna consider CIO her, to break her off this habit??

pink: i think leia has high metabolic rate leh.. good leh, can a lot but dun put on weight.. dun we all wish we are like that too..heheh
 
Yvonne/Star: the fact is.. though i am also struggling to accept it.. they must 'CIO'else they can't learn.. haiz..

Yvonne: relax.. bel still is agile.. teng.. haiz.. ur MIL is so nice to u. my mum gives me many problems.. talk to ur MIL.. try. i tried..so many times. till i almost giving up liao. so now .. me do different tactics.. i bring her around to show her pple's bbs who so agile.. and dun need carry.. let her know she harming teng morethan loving him. slower.. very slow in fact.. but me at the losing end.. i can't afford to make her too fed up. else maid comes over.. not yet stable.. i still need her.. haiz...

explain to ur hb n fil.. let them know why u need to let bel cry..

we meet up more often lah, since its xmas season...destress a bit. have u ever tot of putting bel in infant care for half day just morning session...?

me too like u, sometimes i deliberately dump leia to my MIL, because she seldom volunteer to help.

its my mum, worry about me, worry about leia, she works during weekend till 3-4pm and rush down to see leia & help me tho she's already very tired.

PD @ sengkang called me just now regarding need to give teng chicken pox vaccine coz he had shingles before.. and i told her this. she told me.. most bbs pull to stand at 11 mths! when i heard that.. i tell myself.. damm all the marchbbs super advanced.. i atthe wrong place liao ah!!..

with the way he is eating/drinking now. i wonder how he is going to get himself up and abt without extra help.. chiam he eat/drinks well. i scared coz cause him to be immboile. and obese. sian lah. argghh..

mash: ask J to be ware hor.. Teng coming to catch up with him liao..
 
Astro: and u know what is so ironical?? i have not implement CIO on Rae yet..whahaha, i am trying to wean her off her night feed first.. so now cannot CIO yet. Anyway i am trying another No cry Sleep Solution now.. seems to be working.. been in discussion with Evelyn on this lah.

A few babies begin to toddle as early as 9 mths. others arent motivated to walk until 16mths or so....

Pink: teng is VERY STill when chagning diaper.... he just lie there.. i can let him lie on the table and i go kitchen wash hand. and he wil lnot move (he doesn't know how to move lah).. so activity = zero!.. and he likes bathing.. so what it means?

perisistence.. quite long..can play with his toys..last time.. not now. coz mao mao around.. haiz.. so..maybe.. 10 - 15 mintues on a single toy..

i gog perth nx yr...bringing jaylen along..was cracking my head abt his food..first day landed, must chiong to supermarket liao...
btw, heard oz got strict criteria abt bring food into their country...can oni bring food made in oz?
hb suggesting feeding instant cereal thru'out the trip (1week) .. but i not keen leh..how ah?
 
pink: ya.. he loves bathing. will splash water with his hands.. play with the squeky toys. smile and laugh. it is a pleasure to bath him!!:p. heehee.. he doesn't FIGHT to stand up.. but i lift him up/'stand him up' to wash his mighty butt.. he will try to 'walk' out of the tub.. that's all..

diapering.. unless he short or unknown reason.. then will fuss for a while. mos tof the time he just lies there quietly for u to clean up his mess!

hmm he can slide down my lap and want 'walk' away these days. lst time no.. stay nears me..very sian ..dun think this is considered high activity level..

i know... he is very resistant to new things one.. hmmm.. think he is low acitivity. and high RESISTANCE.. haiz

Leia and Teng are complete opposites..hmmm...

back to the personality traits - 9 traits
so we had acitivty and persistence..

intensity - reflects level of bb's responses to her surroundings when she is upset, hungry, tired or happy. e.g when she is happy, she may show a moderate level of intensitity by smiling, or show hi level of intensity by squealing with delight

initial reaction - measures how bb first reacts to new pple, experiences, foods and routines, some craves newness and responf +vely to unknown while others hold back and are generally more cautious

dun sad...mayb bel vomit coz she wants to puke the phlegm but duno hw...last time j oso like that..when he vomit, the milk ( prev havent feed solid yet) all v sticky de...we conclude that it's his phlegm..so we happy that he vomit them out..
dr told us that bb duno how to spit phlegm..so to them, either vomit or cough and swallow and poo out...

since bel still unwell, u want to mash her food more anot? so she dun nid to chew loh..mayb like what qq mentioned, sore throat..did dr say anything abt this?

not sure if this helps...at times i nid to prepare j's food in kitchen, he oso refuse to sit in his chair..the moment i bend over to put him in, he will shrink his legs and grab my clothes...then i faster buckle him (let him scream abit) then act like a clown to distract him...push him near the fridge and admire the magnet. when he 'eh eh eh', i push him near so that he can see what i doing but far enuf not to touch the tabletops/sink/stove. then i just keep yakking to him..tell him what i doing..at times, just pause awhile to play with him so he not bored in his chair...the main purpose is to try distract him..machiam playing with him so he can sit in his chair loh

as for ya mil carrying...hmm..possible to ask ya hb tok to her? since ya mil dotes on u, she might be able to understand that u have to carry bel all the time when mil does that...

teng might surprise u one day hor...coz today j 'walk'!! with my assistance lah..but hor, i v happy le..coz ah, i tried many times prev, he refuse to walk..will lift his legs up and sit on the flr!! today, he walked from room to room...whaha...

i tot of getting 2nd hand toys since they're only going to play for a short while and there're so many types so i cant possibly buy all! well for xmas i will get a brand new gift for her of cos!

hey, any baby still duno how to crawl???

coz hor, though i v happy j learning to walk liao..i heard that some babies who skip crawling stage, might have dylexia when older...then again, this can oni be tell when they are 3yo onwards...

how ah? j not crawling leh...i hope he's not crawling due to his weight and not becoz he 'duno' how to crawl! siao...i think i getting worried liao
