i went borders y'day. agree it was soooo messy. n those pple juz sit there reading. didnt even want to move their butt they they sit a lady carrying bb trying to take a look at the shelves behind them. irritating! didnt buy anything
 
ya lor. the adults treat it like their own living room, sprawling on the ground with their kids. i shudder at the thought that i would have to teach my kid the right way to use the bookstore, and how i'm gonna explain those behaviours i saw yesterday. Yeeks!
 
SQ: I "complained" to the Borders staff abt the messiness and they say that the children is always like that - sale or not..

The wallet? No lah, I bot for him. It's so not easy to buy something for him cos he's always saying he doesn't need it. So I'm very happy to buy for him.. Anyway, it's $300 plus, not a big sum..

borders is a mess itself, kids section or not. i bought 4 pieces of wrapping paper yesterday. it was labelled $3 each at the shelves. at the counter, the cashier said it's $4 each instead. then they showed me the price tag on the wrapper (which i din see cos it was on an obscure corner). i said ok, its $1 difference only anyway (although come to think of it, 25% lei!!).

then i buay tahan, told them they label their shelves wrongly. i think the place quite messy. yucks!

haha.... re: wallet. ya la, i know what you mean. my hubby used to joke that i use his money to buy things for him. so i must make a deliberate effort to pay cash when i buy things for him

SQ: I agree it's super messy.. Got a headache after going there.. Won't go there again today.. No need to stress myself up.. My hubby said it should be an enjoyable thing to do buying books for baby.. That I don't have to be so stressed up.. **siao**

When I saw what you wrote: he's very funny, he will automatically stop 120mlit reminds me of Kaiser.
He will also auto stop at 140ml at last feed.others milk feeds, he can drink 160mlboth of them so funny!

I went Gucci sales on Tues...nothing to buy leh.. its abt 30% on some last season stuff..very few pcs left; all not nice. If u gg, u can try coach, kate spade etc...most designer brands r having sales on some of the shelves.

this am we just have the same conversation (me and my hubby). told him about borders being messy and bothering me, i dun wanna go) but YE needs books leh.

when YE saw my hp this am, she put it next to her ear, like having a conversation! we were v impressed with her, cos no one taught her that. then i told my hubby they learn so fast at this stage we'd better help her develop. so i need to buy books fast!

maybe next time we can have borders/popular/bysi/mango outings so we can utilise everybody's discount cards! haha
 
i always find it a waste of space and $ to buy all books, for myself or bb.

my friends and i used to take turns to buy books, then we swop. cos i dun like storing the books anyway.

but now i'm the only one with kids, nobody to swop with leh. imagine buying so many kids books, waste $ if she doesn't like.

then i find the library books v dirty for a fussypot like me

SQ: Your hubby is like mine. He's super dilly dally, until I very mang cang sometimes.. But he's the one who provides me a balance.. And when I'm stressed like recently, I can "destress" all on him.. Stress escapes him somehow.. Given the amt of things he has to handle, I'm truly surprised and impressed..

I always tell myself I must learn to be like him..

Erm, my ger hor is not even 8kg now lor at 9 mths plus... Dun think she is even 7.5kg! Her clothes are getting bigger faster than she is getting bigger.

I just came back from Parkway borders... very neat and tidy there, the stuff packing and packing all the time.. i spent $90!!!! hehe.. budget suppose to be $50.. but overshot by $40! Got a few EC books (the catepillar one, chameleaon one and one titled "From Head to Toe"), the 2 cheerios book (very cheap leh, after discount only $11, a bedtime book and 2 books titled "Just like Daddy" and "Just like Mummy". anyone else went to borders today?

wat time were u there? i was there 12nn to 2pm!! i bought $300 worth of books! 17books. 6 (or 7) Dr Seuss books and 1 number book for M, 2 touchy / noisy board books for Jo, 4 parenting books and 2 shopaholic series books for me.. siao.. i was so reluctant to leave the place! lucky only i printed out only 17 vouchers.. if 20, i'll DEF buy 20!!!!
 
Parkway Borders VV NEAT. no mess at all. in fact the staff were re-arranging the books. also there was a special promo. $10 voucher for use in Jan with every $75 purchase...

oh, my $300 is before discount.. so abt $210 in total.. missed out on a 3rd $10 voucher wor..

okie.. boss left early, bcos he's sick (caught my flu bug).. michelle, i got to resist lah, cannot go anymore.. i'm gg home, fetch my babies early...

next time, pls dun tell me book lobang... i sure spend like i got lots of money!!!
 
pax: alamak.. i think i just missed u only leh.. i was there at about 2pm. aiyo.. we could have met up. ya ya i only had 10 printout, thus only 10 books.. hahaha.. had a hard time narrowing my books down to just 10!!!! i got the $10 voucher too.. very worth hor.
 


Ya parkway borders damn neat, the staff kept arranging the books.. i thought i was in the way, cos they kept rearranging around me.. move the entire spot the dog books to another shelf as i was browing, but they were very nice, kept apologising and tell me more selection at the other shelves.
