saying about bb kick, I can feel like "wriggling" inside, seldomly receieved any kick from my bb ger. When I put my hand on my tummy, this ger will stop moving, why like tat har?

these few nights my son having nightmare, he cried and cried very loud in the night and keep saying "papa ta" coz my hb beat him with cane, he is very naughty. I so heartache he keep asking me to carry "mama bao bao wo" but I can;t carry him he is too heavy leh... I really very sad till my tear wan to slip down already. My toopid hb aso very bad lor, my son tear roll down I really heartache. Last night he nightmare wake up and cried 3x for almost half hour and keep kicking his legs when we pat or try to carry him up. Then my this little ger inside maybe woke by his loud cry keep kicking me inside.
 
bitbit - black is ok mah, so many ppl wear black for dinner nwadays. Besides black is a formal col, so it's ok.

Bitbit, maybe u tell ur hb to hit him lighter. Afterall, he's a man leh, sometimes they dunno hw to ctrl their strength & will b very harsh. Then if exert too much strength then will end up hurting the boy. Ur boy is nt very big right?
 
Hi ladies..

Catz..yup visited gynae on Sat. Our baby boy is doing well..he's always sleeping when we see the gynae..cos with all the walking, taking bus..rocks him to sleep..so he's always in good position for gynae to make measurements. He was facing us..so we could see his eyes (should be closed though)..big eyes it seems, like my hubby haha!
My baby respond to my voice..not yet daddy's voice..but he respond when we tap my tummy..he sleeps when daddy sings.
Im 22 weeks plus..he's 400 grams! Koh, do update for me..thanks!
Good weight, gynae said. He's confirmed a boy..haha..cos we saw the little penis again, more clearly this time. But hehe..guess wat, I put on..an amazing 3kg! Haha..I also dont know where the weight go to..cant see difference, except tummy..gynae was saying very good, very good..he say I can afford to put on more..as long as within 10-15kg range..I think I dont want to put on so much lah..the most until 10kg.

Blood test results came back..All good n normal..except for my red blood cells count..borderline..nurse gently 'scold', "u never take yr tablets right?"..n my hubby exclaimed.."Ya, she didnt..so scared to take tablets." Kena scolding once we left the clinic..he's going to count my tablets every nite now, make sure I eat.

Detailed scan in 2 weeks time..after Deepavali/Hari Raya. Signed up for antenatal classes starting in Nov.
 
Bitbit, wear yr black outfit with some nice glitter diamonds or something..hehe. Then wont look so sombre.

A rap from the cane is enough..make sure there's some pain..but tell yr hubby not to cane too hard or more than once..Jus one hard rap..not too hard though..then for small matters, give him time-out or take away privileges, is better. Always give warning first when he misbehaves..dont cane immediately..if warning he doesnt listen, then the next moment give him the punishment.

Jus some advice ok..but I believe u both are experienced parents, whereas Im not a parent yet. Hehe.
 
bitbit, my wedding dinner is at Marriot. Urs? I just got this dress from PM, but need to go with a short cardigan or shawl as it's a tube and i dare not wear without a cardigan or shawl. Haha...

Ya, sometimes guys can be very harsh on kids when the kids made them angry. Saw my brother beating my nephew b4. So pitiful...

Charis, why u need to take the tablets?
 
Bitbit..Dont worry about the nightmare..he's not really tramatised..he's jus affected by the caning only..which is good, so the punishment wasnt in vain..some kids u can cane n cane also no effect..but his nightmares shouldnt continue, cos it wont be good for his sleep.

Talk to yr hubby gently..see if he can 'gentle-ised' his caning..never cane out of anger..sometimes for things like spilling food, shouldnt be punished..even if he is very active, its ok, set down rules at certain time/activites, so he's clear on boundaries..then misbehaviour will reduce..
but remember disobedience should never be tolerated.

22wks 400g is ok lah. Mine 22w1d is already 493g - my coll was saying she suspect my bb will b big! I told her big nvm, give him if he wants, dun leave for mama to clear the shit! Wahahahaha..........

Gynae also said for me is abt 12 - 14kg, bt even if abit more if fine cos he's confident tat I can clear them!

Jas..its iron tablets..its standard supplements my gynae gives..but I must take..cos I was anemic before..I didnt take even one tablet that gynae gave me..I resolved to jus increasing my iron intake by taking more beef, dark leafy vege..but I guess not enough..only made it borderline.

Dont dare tell my MIL..my hubby also say he wont tell..scared his mum make a lot of noise..then she stress, sure must boil things for me..

Usually all these I wun update the old folks cos their thinking & our thinking are diff.
 
Ah ger, Im sure gynae give u iron tablets too..cos I read that iron intake must double during pregnancy, same as calcium..esp if anemic.
 
just nw my coll saw my stomach then she felt it & she asked "r u actually pregnant? I tot it wasn't so big sometime ago?" I said yes I m. Then she asked hw long already? I said coming 6mths. Then she was like "oh then it's nt very big." I said yes, I m keeping it up, for the benefit of me after I deliver."

Ha ha ha........... she said gd gd gd, like tat can regain figure back easily. I said I certainly hope so.

Charis, yes, my gynae gave me. Bt my gf when she was pregnant she din take cos I think her iron level is high enuff. My coll din take either.

I m trying to take in as much calcium as possible nwdays, which is y I switched to taking bread w/ cheese every morning during wkdays. In a way can save some $$ also. Cos it's def much cheaper eating bread w/ cheese than buying b/f like bee hoon, kway teow or chee cheong fun & etc.
 
Ah ger..same as my church members, we didnt announce to them , except for my hubb's youth group..but slowly everyone sying, oh u showing already! Same lah..they say im small..but tummy growing fast by the weeks. I also hope to regain figure back, after confinement..I really hope to go back to exercise n pre-pregnancy diet.

Charis - I guess alot of colls here who seldom c me dun even know I m pregg. Only slowly when they realised I've bn 'putting' on wt then they ask.

Yeah lah, actually I hate bread one leh....... bt nw quite ok cos I take multi-grains bread & it's more nutritious. Maybe bb's making me change my appetite.

Then it's high is iron & dietary fibre + it's low fat! Bt I spread my bread lah w/ peanut butter & margarine & then add on cheese. I eat w/ milo, so again additional calcium. Then those vending machine milo are usually very sweet, so everytime I will still add some hot water to dilute it.

My b/f still gotta b heavy if nt I will get hungry very easily. Then in the morning IF i ever get hungry or itchy mouth, I will just flush myself w/ plain water.

Mum came to take vcds frm me yest (cos I burn Princess Hrs for her), then she bought me Tong Heng Egg tarts. Wah bought so many leh, 5 pcs! I told hb, he must help me eat if nt my sugar level will shoot up! Ha ha ha.........

Nx mth - can also, who's gng to set a date? I m def ok for Tues/ Fris cos hb's @ class.

in my detail scan report,it wrote my placeta slightly low, mi so worry can anyone advise how to improve it. currently i'm 22wks bb wt:375g. looking at it seem to be very big BB,right?
 
Hei ah ger, why wait till dec to wear? The PM girl serving u is Joceline? Still have 3 pieces of tops to collect from them. Maybe end of this week. They said took 2 weeks for the card to be ready, so maybe next week need to make a trip down to PM also.

Quite excited for dinner 2m. My 1st wedding dinner since pregnancy and i gotta meet a lot of my ex-colleagues who do not know abt my pregnancy.

Initially taking Anmum, just change to Wyeth as tried the samples b4 and think Wyeth tastes better to Anmum.

ralliart, think u need to rest more and try not to walk too much. 375g at 22wks not very big lah. My bb 20wks oredi 332g. Normally shd increase 50g per week. Urs boy or girl?

Still early..so placenta can move up..dont strain yrself..dont walk/work too much/hard..usually that's the standard advice.

Also I dont know if yr gynae recommend pelvic rest-means no intercourse..but mayb no need to abstain..usually if there's bleeding then more concern..if not not to worry..but check with yr gynae.

Jas..yup..I must take my iron tab now..forgot to take hehe..my hubby coming home from work alrd..took half-day leave.

Low placenta, Koh had tat @ the beginning, my coll had tat bt she wasn't consistent in taking her med. Did ur gynae give u any med to take? Wil it help if say, u massage ur stomach upwards everyday? Maybe when u r applying ur stretchmark cream then as u massage, u push upwards slowly? Did ur gynae say hw to make it go up?

Charis - if u take every morning. Then it's easy. As soon as u finish ur b/f, then take all the suppls u r supp to take & plc them on the table beside ur glass of water. So when u go & get urself a drink, u wun 4get!

Charis - wkends I m lazier leh. Besides Sat is def out for me, cos we spend time @ parents & PIL hse. Then Sun is usually the time for hb & I to clean up the hse. By then already 2 exhausted to go out le, just wanna stay @ hme & laze. bt it's ok lah, if majority can go out on wkends then u all can go ahead w/o me. :p
 
Ah ger n ralliart..hmm..dont know if massage is good idea..but If I, I wont massage..cos scared I injure baby or injure the placenta..low placenta may not be very strong..so check with yr gynae first.
 
HI all

Help!! I've already put on 12kg the last time i went for my checkup and baby only weighs 338g at 19wks.

How on earth did i put on all that weight? The only consolation i have is I am 'lighter' now than when I was with my son and then my daughter.

Any of you with DR WK Tan by any chance?

when i apply stretchamrk cream, i apply in cicular direction that what the label said. I forget to ask my gynae loh how to move my placenta up hence have to check with u gals.yah i think i better rest more.

ok lah.. dun worry that ur bb is too big. mine was 451g during 22w3days. In ur detailed scan report, there is sort of a line graph and there is a plotting on the line right? my gynae says so long as the dot is within the line, it is normal.

if i am not wrong, cannot have sex if u got low placenta.

Ralliart..no LM is not the cause dont worry, not yr fault or hubby's ok..some ppl jus have low placenta-but if u have placenta previa, then pelvic rest is advisable.

My SIL put on 10kg by 20 weeks.

Btw, Ah ger..did u watch "Hey baby" on Sat..hey sorry it wasnt my SIL yet..hers is next week, as in this Sat. She last min told us on fri the airing changed to next week.

my ah boy only 22 months, not yet 2 years old. My hb use cane i quite TL him when he beat him coz he said why I so protecting him, only will spoil him. Ah ger, if you see my boy tears came falling down with red red eyes so watery, u will aso heartache, but my hb bo chup one.

bitbit - 2yrs old still a small boy leh. Yeah, can understand boys can b very diff to teach bt then hv to ctrl his canning leh. U hv to tell ur hb. If nt if *touchwood* anything happens, by then, then regret will b 2 late.

MIL always say tat to SIL cos she beats her sons often also. She said yes we shld discipline bt then to an extent cos we adults can b very harsh while the cane shoots dwn. If we accidentlaly hit too hard then wat if the boy gets deaf or hurt during the discplining process?

I have used the cane on my girl since she was about 1 year old. But very seldom, and like Charis says, very judiciously. If we want to discipline our children, we have to be consistent and have to carry out our threats. If not they learn very quickly that they can disobey us and not face any consequences. Also you and your hubby must try to agree on the discipline cos if not, your boy will know who he can 'play' against the other. 22 months is not too early to discipline. My girl is now 28 months and at this age, wow, they have all sorts of 'tricks' up their sleeves. If not for our early discipline, I think I'll have much more problems with her. Now at least she knows that I mean what I say when I tell her to do something/not to do something. So keep up the good work of disciplining your son!
 
PVL, it is true tat we hv to discipline, I cannot tolerate my kid the nx time if he misbehaves. &amp; given my temper, think my boy will run to my hb more than to me.

However, while beating/ canning, we hv to c the strength we exert on to avoid hurting the kid too much. U know some parents cane the kid until u can c the cane scar on the hands/ legs &amp; as if the skin is gng to break. I think it is too much cos their skin is 2 tender to b given tat harsh stroke.
 
Ah ger, there were 2 sales girls at PM when I were there. One is Jocelyn and another more petite girl i didn't catch her name. I never wear tube also. But those they let me try really nice and since can match with my cardigans well so I just bot loh.

I have finished a big can Anmum and a small can Anmum (JB), so saturday my hubby went to buy 2 big cans of Wyeth (i told him taste nicer). 1 to put in JB and another one in Spore. Think JB cheaper, Wyeth and Anmum same price at about RM36+.

sometimes guys are not as 'emotional' as us and quite "hard hearted" too. i can understand how u feel though my bb is not borned yet.

sorry to compare, i used to cry when my hb disciplines my dog too. when hb canes him, i always very hard pain, even though its a doggie. So cant imagine wat happen if its my kid.

There was once hb says he cane the doggie until doggie knock against something and bled badly cos of tore in his muzzle area..he felt so guilty, luckily i am in scene of crime, or else maybe i will take the cane and hit hb too!!!

Jas, oh the other gal I think is a M'sian cos frm her accent. Lately I din c the other gal, dunno y. Maybe happen to b her off day. U saw near their pant/s skirts section has a preggie mama pic? Tat gal looks like Serene whom I told u lor.
 
gals, can u all guess wat is bb doing inside? Sometimes I feel something's wobbling bt it's nt kicking. Wats tat? Somersaulting?

Baby movements
Might be shifting its positions or stretching. I oso wonder what bb is doing inside. Nowadays always move. Nite time the moment I lay on bed also must move a few times. And the moves are strong lor. Dunno what will happen the next few months :/

I think lately bb is very tired @ night, so m I. Ha ha ha, din recoup my slp over the wkend, then yest I KO @ 10pm then woke up @ 1.30am to go to the toilet then dwn again all the way till 6am tis morning. Bt still tired.

Lately night time movements I think nt as frequent. I lost track on the movements already. Think 1 day I need to record dwn the timing so tat I know. Just nw 3pm he moved, wobbling inside so I dunno wat is he doing. Mine arh, think lazy bum, either sit straight or just lie dwn. These fw times I think he's in lie dwn position.
 
my gf told me Metro sale @ Expo tis wkend. Is anybody gng?

I wun b gng, so far....... Dun think tare's anything much on bb stuff also.

Oh, my gf is passing me a brand new pram cos extra one! :p

Stupid Co lah........ dunno who is so silly to give tat suggestion, say Sat extra day replc on Mon. End up whole Co is shut dwn lor.

Bt my appt is @ 2.45pm leh, wonder hw long I hv to wait by then. Hmm........
